Wow! That's all I can say, because I'm speechless. Everything about my experience was just top notch. The short version is: Gaby really cares for her clients. She clearly cares about making sure you get the best of the best in products. service and experience. If you want to have a real cosmetologist who you can build a strong relationship with (instead of just getting a hair cut), Gaby is the woman to go to. With her, you aren't just getting a hair cut. You are getting someone who wants to create a relationship with you and give you the best service possible. She makes sure you actually get what you need to have long term benefits and leave happy, not just cut your hair and boot you out. Gaby creates a comfortable space where you feel like you can be yourself and talk to her. I know many people who have gone to a salon and felt like they couldn't talk to their stylist. Then they end up leaving with a cut that made them cry in their car. With Gaby it isn't like this at all. With her you feel comfortable to say "Hey, let's change this a little" without feeling like you are offending her or being rude. Which, in my opinion, is crucial to a good experience. The fact that Gaby only takes one client at a time might feel inconvenient for some, but it makes the experience so worth it. It's your time to feel relaxed and taken care of. It really makes a wonderful experience. Being able to do whatever you'd like while getting your services without worrying about bothering others is a big plus in my book. Also she's a good conversationalist so my three hours flew by. I can't rave about Gaby's Hair enough! read more

Awesome business!!!!! Gaby takes the time to explain the best options/recommendations for a healthy scalp and hair growth. She uses all natural products and implements her continuing education in skin and hair care. Top notch business. Highly recommend. I will be going here forever. Very clean studio with a great holistic vibe! Thanks again, Gaby! read more

I first visited Gaby for a men's haircut during COVID because I need a place where I felt safe. Now I can't imagine going anywhere else! Gaby is absolutely meticulous about COVID precautions and let me say - I have pretty high standards when it comes to that kind of thing. But what's really great is the attention she's able to give to every appointment. It's a 1-on-1 visit so if you're like me and don't have a clue about hair styles, she's able to answer any questions you might not feel comfortable asking in a busier salon environment. It's like confiding in a friend. Ultimately it's probably the best haircut of my life. After my first visit and touch-up I felt like Gaby really "got" my vibe and personal style and as I said, now I can't fathom going anywhere else. read more

I've been looking for a trustworthy hairstylist to replicate a haircut I had since I moved to the west coast years ago - and Gaby fulfilled that wish! I came in with pictures of what my hair used to look like freshly cut and showed her. She was very inquisitive and made sure she fully understood my vision. Never have I ever found a hair stylist in the valley that cared so much about perfecting what I wanted as a client in my haircut - without interjecting their own suggestions or opinions. Gaby's Hair Studio is quaint, cozy, and makes you feel like the pampered center of attention when you are getting your hair cut. (Not to mention affordable!) I look forward to getting my haircut every time I go to Gaby rather than dreading it. read more

I went to Gaby for the 1st time today, for a full color and a haircut. First thing to note: She is taking this Covid pandemic VERY seriously and I felt 100% safe in her salon. She was clean and thorough. Only one client in the salon at any given time. Amazing. Secondly: This is maybe the greatest haircut I've ever had. I showed her a few pictures of "inspiration" and we talked for a good 5 minutes about my wants/needs and expectations. She totally understood the type of hair she was dealing with, and was even telling me about my scalp health! Amazing, again! Third, and final point: She's a gem of a human and a pleasure to chat with. The hour and 15 I was with her flew by. Can't wait to visit again, and she's gained a life-long client (as long as I live in LA). Thank you for taking such good care of me, Gaby! You rock! read more

My husband and I feel safe getting our hair done at Gaby's (and we are majorly following COVID protocols). Her studio extremely clean, and she takes every step imaginable to make sure that her customers' "presence" and belongings are separated from the rest of the salon to prevent spread. This is very important to prevent cross-contamination. She only allows one person in the salon at a time, so it's only you and her at all times. She also staggers her visits so she can clean and ventilate the salon between visits. You must wear your mask at all times and sanitize constantly. This is a dream come true for me (I am a safety regulator at another store, so I know everything that goes into keeping people safe during COVID!). You are probably safer being in her salon than you are being at home. It also help that she constantly gives me the best cut/color I've ever had, and that her products are high-quality. I would definitely recommend her Olaplex shampoos/conditioners if you have thin hair that's dyed a dark color. It's pricey, but it lasts a long time and is worth it. read more

Great salon if you're looking to learn more about your hair and what the best products are for it. Excellent covid protocols in place as well. Gaby is great! read more

I meant to leave a review, though I did. But Better late than never. I went to Gaby's hair studio a while back for my first Pixi Haircut. I wasn't sure what to expect but when my friend and I walked into the Studio, I was amazed! We were the Only ones in a cute mini French-like suite. Gaby was crazy good. Like she would take us one by one, asking our history with our hair, examining it, giving us a Very personal experience. With the whole treatment and cut, I was expecting way more to pay than I did. Ever since then, I would recommend her to anyone who would ask me where to go for a haircut. read more

"I just got a promotion and a raise," I exclaimed. That's exactly how I felt after my haircut with Gaby: Smart, stylish, savvy. Valuable. We changed things up from my last do. Took in the sides and let the top retain most of it's wild curl. Gaby had some pictures for me when I came in and we talk them through really collaborating and allowing the creative energy to flow. Great conversation, as always, and Billie Holiday providing the right soundtrack. I really didn't notice the haircut happening and then it was done and I felt that we made this awesome change happen. I immediately felt more open and confident. Modern and classic simultaneously. Like George S. Kaufman in talks with Netflix. I felt my perspective shift and possibilities open. I left completely satisfied and fortified for reentry into a world more happy and beautiful than it was moments earlier. read more

Ended up here today by chance for a haircut (based on Yelp reviews as I was already in Burbank) and loved the result. I rarely go back to the same place, as there's so many stylists out there, and I've not really been blown away by any, (pun intended)--but I will go back to Gaby. She was honest about what my hair was and wasn't doing for me, gave me options without pushing any one of them, and has a clean, zen-like salon with the latest products. I didn't know that she only works with one person at a time and I didn't realize how much I would love that, (apart from my boyfriend who was waiting for me--which was also super sweet). It made it even more zen-like. I am looking forward to trying some of her other services. read more

I've been going to Gaby for my skin care, for 8 years. Gaby is, by far the most professional person I've met in this field. Along with being professional, she educates me through the process. I am grateful that her expertise has talked me out of getting Botox and fillers, as if another expense is needed. If you are looking for a complete skin revision and are willing to put in patience and dedication, for your body, then Gaby is the missing piece to your puzzle. She really cares. read more

One too many bad haircuts and one too many times where she forgot I had an appointment and I was fed up, I had to switch to Floyd's on Hollywood Way. She never apologized or offered a discount on services for not showing up for scheduled appointments. I walked out of there on a few occasions with a haircut that looked like it was done by a beauty school drop out. Maybe she should stick to women's cuts. read more

Fabulous sums up my experience every time I have an appointment with Gaby. I have been a client of hers for almost a year. Gaby is knowledgeable, articulate and authentic. As a man .... I didn't prioritize my hair much...as I get older I am more interested in how to care for my hair and trending styles etc. Her personalized business model is not only so safe during this pandemic , but her ability to focus just on you and your hair and skin needs .... is the personal touch that is so often missing .... I am delighted to recommend Gaby's Hair Studio for a 5 star experience. read more

Go to Gaby's!!! Much like the other reviews for Gaby's, I have only positive things to say about my own experience! One of my main reasons for initially choosing Gaby's was proximity- it's literally a 5 minute walk from where I live. I don't typically get my hair cut very often because I find that I always end up with the same cut, without the stylist really caring. Gaby immediately diagnosed me, you could say, and really took the time to talk about what I wanted and would work best for my face and hair type. Finally, someone who cared! The whole cut experience was very relaxing and I felt like she genuinely was taking care of me. The atmosphere was serene and spa-like, without the hectic noise and pop radio blaring of most salons. I am thrilled with the cut I got from Gaby! It was truly what I wanted. More than anything, she made the self conscious big pregnant lady that I am feel beautiful and worth the time, so thank you Gaby! I will be returning! read more

Gaby is kind, professional, and very knowledgeable. My hair is always fantastic thanks to her, and she keeps a close eye on my hair's health. I can't appreciate enough the great work she does. Before I started going here, I bounced around hair places a lot. I had been to a bunch of incredibly overpriced men's salons in the OC and other stylists/barbershops in the Burbank area, but no-one was able to get my hair to a place where I can look at it any day of the week and feel great about it. Gaby gives me that. I've never had a stylist as good as her! read more

I went to see Gaby after 15 years of loyalty to my old hair stylist. I am so happy to have discovered such a genuine, talented, and knowledgeable stylist. I've never received so many compliments for a haircut. She knew exactly how to give me the look I wanted - even though my hair is really thick, inconsistently wavy, and with uneven layers. I will definitely be back, and I plan on telling all my friends about the great service and experience. Thanks Gaby - see you next time!! read more

I think I am on my way to building a lasting relationship. Love Gaby's honesty. Her work ethic and her personality. This was my first visit! Many more great reviews to come, i am sure. Great service. Covid precautions taken. Fabulous hair treatment and haircut read more

I've visited this salon a few times now, and my experience is always great! This past visit I entrusted Gaby with my hair right before a big job interview, and she took the time to make sure the look I picked out would be low maintenance and easy to replicate on the big day. read more

Thank you, Gaby for a wonderful experience! Came in as a blank slate and put myself in her hands. Was not disappointed, Gaby's haircut was different and appropriately for my facial features, added some color and voila - a new look. She was gracious, thoroughly explained how to maintain my new cut and suggested the best products to use. For someone that just goes to a barber, she was kind and handheld me through the process. Highly recommend her talents and found her to be delightful. read more

Things I like best about Gaby's Hair Studio: 1. Gaby's genuinely nice and her studio is relaxing. 2. Personalized service: When you're in her chair, she doesn't deal with walk-ins, or even those who want to wait for her to finish with you. So there's no pressure for her to finish up your service so she can put another body in the chair. 3. A very tailored cut and color. She makes adjustments with each visit, checking for health and shine, which parts go grey faster, etc. I don't think I've ever had a stylist who paid so much attention before. read more

Gabby is an amazing person. I had stopped going to her because I started cutting my own hair during the pandemic. But after a few successful cuts on my own, I made a huge mistake. When I called and said I had an emergency, she still remembered who I was after more than a year. I thought I wasn't going to be able to go out tonight, but she took my appointment and literally 25 minutes after I destroyed my hair, she has fixed it. Thank you Gabby!! read more

This review is long over due. I've gone to Gaby's a few times now and I'm always impressed with her work. First of all she only sees one person at a time! The place is super cute with a zen-like feel to it! She assesses your hair and makes recommendations of quality products that won't break the bank and you can find in your local drug store or market. She absolutely takes her time with her clients and I always feel satisfied when I leave! I just recently did a dramatic change with my hair: cut off like 7 inches and colored it purple! She knows I don't normally do much styling so she cut in a way that it looks good without much maintenance and the color is dramatic yet pretty subtle! I love it! I would post pictures but it doesn't look as good as it does in person! read more

Gaby, what can I say about this girl? Wonderfully ethical, accommodating, precision hair cut & styling, an incredibly peaceful salon... (after a long hard day at work, you need it!) just a comfortable and wonderful way to get your hair cut. She cares, and truly enjoys listening to what you want and is extremely knowledgable with her craft. I have been with Gaby for a couple years now and I have watched her create her dream salon. I was overdue in giving her a 5 star YELP posting! It will be enjoyable to watch her grow- We all THREE love you Gaby! read more

I can't write enough good reviews about Gaby! She moved into her own studio (congrats!) at the beginning of the year and I can't complain. (She's now within walking distance!) What can I say that I haven't said before? She's awesome and does a great job on my hair (even though I never go crazy because I am patiently growing my hair back out). I always get compliments and will continue to enthusiastically recommend her. read more

The best barber I've ever had and maybe the kindest and easiest to get along with. Gaby's been cutting my hair for four years and, like with many of her customers I imagine, has gotten to know me and styles my hair exactly how I want it without being told or asked how. That trust is so rare and I'm so grateful for a business and stylist like Gaby! I've also never known much about styling, hair product or how to use it until I met her. One quick lesson was all I needed. Can't beat that! read more

Fantastic cut just right for my face, lots of individual attention, great price ($65!) on cut and products ($40 for an oil that's better than any conditioner!). Cannot say enough good things other than after 3.5 years living in LA, I finally found a salon I want to go back to! And in case you're wondering, I have heavy hair that is neither straight nor wavy, but smack in the middle. Challenging, but Gabby's got the knack. read more

Gaby is the best! I used to be a hairdresser way back, and ever since, I've been cutting my own hair. I am a bit of a perfectionist and never trusted anyone to touch my hair except me. By the grace of God I won a free haircut at a function that I attended. I assumed that this was a sign that I should finally let somebody else touch my hair. I am so grateful that I received this gift. The atmosphere is very calming, full of positive energy and just a beautiful place to relax and enjoy being pampered. read more

I just went to Gaby's and I am so impressed with my new haircut! I had long hair that needed a change and she layered it beautifully and gave me cute side swept bangs and I'm crazy about the way it looks now. I love love love it. Upon arriving I had no idea how much build up and gross junk had been plaguing my hair and scalp and the moment Gaby looked at the roots of my hair she told me straight up what I needed to fix and how to do it. She could answer any questions I had (and I had plenty) and would recommend products that would better my hair whether she sold them or not; I really felt like she just wanted my hair to be the top priority and didn't try to sell me anything I didn't need and told me where to find the cheapest products that would benefit me most. She also went through the procedure herself to show me how to care for my hair and gave me free samples to take home and try out. She also wants me to text and update her on my hair status in two weeks! I felt very taken care of the whole time and now I know how to manage my hair better. Just overall a really good place to go. Gaby's is a little pricey however it's well worth it (and not as much as she could charge for her skills let's be real) and id recommend her to anyone who wants to get a great haircut on top of advice and hair therapy. I will go to no one else as long as I live here. read more

Being able to find a quality salon is incredibly hard!! Fortunately for me, I found Gaby. After experimenting with a handful of mediocre salons, I finally found a stylist who speaks my language. Gaby asked me questions about my hair routine and explained what cuts worked for my face shape. THAT'S ALL I'VE EVER WANTED FROM A STYLIST!! Never has anyone ever told me what cut looked good on me, all they ever did was agree with my ideas, not caring if the style fit my face shape. I love that she only sees one person at a time and that she gives you useful tips throughout your visit. She showed me how to blow-dry my hair and let me take pictures of the products she used on me. Definitely will be coming back for my next cut..possibly a color?? ;P read more

I called on a Thursday to try to book an apt for Saturday. Gaby didn't have much open that day, so after some looking said, "what about 6:30pm tomorrow instead?" I thought about it for a minute, because I would have to leave work a bit early on Friday. I confirmed though, as I figured it would be worth it. I left work early, got to Gaby's for 6:30pm on Friday, only to have her say, "no, I told you 6:30pm on SATURDAY". I think I know the difference between "tomorrow" and "Saturday" when someone says them. Needless to say this place will not be getting my business. read more

This is a review for my sister, who is way to nice to speak up and say anything bad about anyone. I just saw her hair after she paid 300 DOLLARS for the worst color job I've ever seen. I was beyond shocked! Her roots are orange and the rest of her hair is dark brown, I'm really confused that a professional would allow a client to walk out looking that way knowing that it is a representation of them and their work! Literally my mind is blown. My sister doesn't even know I'm writing this bc she is so embarrassed she was taken advantage of. I only wish I was there to have been able to speak for her. Just awful. read more

Gaby is absolutely wonderful--I love the calm and private set up of her business, the free bang trim after two weeks, and her feedback was wonderful. I had no idea on how to combat the dryness of my hair but she walked me through the blowdrying process and gave me the name of a product that will help revitalize my damaged ends. My hair turned out great, she really framed my face and the ends feel wonderful :) Also, five stars for just being friendly!! read more

I'm just a normal guy and getting a hair cut has never been a big deal for me. I'd go down the street to super cuts or something but it isn't until my girlfriend brought me here as I needed a haircut for a special occasion. Now, I don't want to get my haircut anywhere else. For $30 with a tip, you can't beat the price especially because Gabi is so on top of everything. She is passionate, caring, and really knows her stuff. It's not just a haircut you're paying for, it's really an experience and wouldn't want to go anywhere else. Gabi is an awesome person that's so down to earth and deserves the credit for running such a wonderful business! read more

I've been in Los Angeles almost 3 years now and I've yet to find a place that I'm satisfied with doing my hair. Most places I've tried have either felt too pretentious, cut my hair totally crooked, or didn't listen to me at all. but finally I believe my search to be over! Gaby is so sweet, her studio is clean and cute and very private. I never felt rushed. She also really researches her products and knows what she is taking about. she really took her time showing me exactly how I could blow dry my hair and make it look like I walked out of the salon everyday. She also made my transition from blonde to red so fun. I'm definitely in love with the color and the cut. Thanks Gaby! read more
