I put my name on the list like I usually do. Waited an hour. Once my partner was done the lady told the man who came after me it was his turned. I let her know I also wanted a a haircut and my name was on the list and she told me to come back tomorrow. I had asked her why and she said it was because she was by herself and she had told the other two men she would help them and to come back tomorrow. Mind you, this was at 2:30pm and they do not close until 7pm. I find this very sexist and unacceptable as she took the men but not the woman. Why do you have the list if you're not going to go by it? This was a horrible experience, my hair is shoulder length and I have bangs. I tried to make small talk with the lady and said "oh it feels so much better already" and for some reason she was upset and said "it's not done yet" while snapping at me. Went in for a trim. This is a walk-in, cut, and go type of place. Nothing fancy or glamorous. They have a sign in the window saying men's cuts $20 and women's cuts $20 up. My hair was bra-line length. While I wasn't expecting to pay $20 based on my length, I certainly was not expecting to pay $50 for a basic trim straight cut, no layers or alike, no shampoo, no blow dry, just a 5 minute trim, two inches cut. When she said the price at the end the guy sitting on the next chair blurted "WTF". I asked what is a $20 cut and the lady said- "Short hair like his". I was like, 99% of women don't get a cut like his. Anyhow, I think for a place and service, $35 would have been reasonable. Other comparable places in the area charge $30 for the same. Quality has gone down but price went up. I've been taking my son here for several years now. The sign up front clearly states that mens hair cuts are $20, but twice without any communications, I was overcharged for my son's haircut (boy's). I believe a loyal repeat customer means nothing to them. The reason for the extra charge was that she partially used a pair of scissors. Well, my son has been getting his haircut from the same stylist for years here and she ALWAYS used the same tool, a pair of scissors...so this makes no sense. Also, the ladies are always busy talking to each other in their own language non-stop while working on a client and I was always bothered by it and concerned that something can go wrong because of the lack of focus and attention. She cut my son's ear this last time. It was a small cut but he was bleeding. I had a few great experiences at this salon myself so that's why I convinced my son to give a try a long time ago. He has been picky about his haircuts, but now he trusts the stylist at this place and feels comfortable. On the other hand, my opinions and perspectives over the services they provide changed quite bit based on my recent visits and experiences. Update: 12/24/22 Quick cuts is a gem in the middle of a Burbank. I have been going to Quick Cuts for many years. Look at how many stations they have. They are always busy in the afternoons and weekends. There is plenty of parking and the walk-in waiting time if never over 15 minutes. They have a car for kids to get haircuts. They always have music in the background and plenty of comfortable seats while waiting. Emma the Woman in the picture is always very friendly and welcoming. So we cut my hair just straight. She told me she was finished. She was done within five minutes. I told her I wanted layers. She completed my request. I've been coming to quick cuts now I wanna say five years and up. They were local to a job I worked years ago. The parking is probably the only thing that's not great as the plaza is usually packed, but the people are great. I pretty much get a trim down to zero, blend the side, and trim the top of the combover I have but they do great. I come in every 2-3 weeks and the person who does it is usually always different but it comes out looking great. Price can't be beat. A good place for guys to get a cut, and their wait isn't bad at all. I don't recommend this place if you don't speak the same language as the ladies here. I used to take my son to get a haircut here because it's cheap, there's only 1 lady who willing to give him hair cut everyone else refused but she isn't there anymore. My son is young but he always do fine with scissor cut, the lady who used to give him haircut never have any trouble with him. But now that she's no longer there, my son always got his hair cut with this lady who do heavy dark makeup and give off meanie energy. There was no style, no gentle, anywhere at all and my son came back with redness from clipper and her nails luckily he didn't bleed. When I walked in and before letting him get a haircut with her, there was this kid a bit older than my son but same ethic with the ladies, she was very gentle and friendly with him and was willing to give him scissor cut and even took time making sir he looks fine. Even my boyfriend was in rage when he saw how rough and racist she was. And my boyfriend rather gives him a haircut himself now after the experience here. I asked for a simple hair cut and they were trying to charge me $80!! Just for having long hair. I first requested long layers and the woman named Emma said it would be $80, I was so taken aback, as this was just for the hair cut, no wash or styling included. I then asked if it would be less for a straight cut and she still said it would be the same price as it would take her "so much time to cut my hair". Such a scam and waste of my time as they had me waiting for 25 minutes! I would have respected if her reasoning was that she just didn't want to cut my hair or that she did not have the skill set to do it but to give me a bizarre price for a simple haircut made me feel as if she just wanted me to leave. I've been coming here for about 6 years now and the hair cuts have been consistent and relatively fast (Saturdays can be a bit packed; I recommend coming in as soon as it opens). As for the price, right now (10/18/19), it is $12.00 for men (price excludes tip). The value for the price is pretty good. For the same haircut elsewhere, it would easily be $20+.
