This isn't a bad place but I didn't exactly agree with some of the rave reviews. I tried the spicy wontons which were wonderful. Literally a perfect mix of sweet with heat. The family tried the crab Rangoon and it was disappointing given what all the reviews claimed. I could see where some may like it; it was heavy on the cream cheese and light on sweetness which isn't my thing...but to each his own. My son got the Beef Lo Mein and said it was "really good." My daughter got the sweet and sour chicken and was very disappointed. She described it as heavily breaded and in a sauce she found more sour than sweet and very runny. Our overall review on what we tried was 50/50. I would be willing to try it again and see what some of their other menu items are like. There is potential. read more

I ordered spring rolls, I'm not sure how you mess up a spring roll. The outside was nude and crunchy, but the inside was a mushy mess! It was almost like mashed cabbage. Not good. No. Just no. The chicken was flat and rubbery. I mean really flat. It tasted like they used frozen chicken patties. The rice was BLAND and it was chicken fried rice. Just left and I am EXTREMELY disappointed at the service and treatment I received. I ordered an order of vegetable fried rice with extra broccoli, 2 large side orders of fried rice and 2 egg rolls. When I got there I noticed my bill seemed high. (The total was not given or the order read back.) When I reviewed the receipt it had two large orders of Lo Mein. I told the female cashier I asked for rice. She them starts yelling that I ordered the wrong thing and I said Lo Mein. I clearly did not order Lo Mein as, I specifically wanted rice for my daughter. I ordered from two places. Her rice from Rice Kitchen and my order from Peking Dynasty. At that, my daughter was standing in the room when I ordered. Not that it mattered. So the female cashier grudgingly corrected my order and continued to yell at me. Still insisting I ordered LoMein and I ordered the wrong thing. It was TERRIBLE. I remained calm, only explaining to her that I did in fact order rice. She only wanted to yell and belittle. If I had not paid and my daughter would not have had food, I would have walked away. I don't spend money where I am not welcome or respected. She comes back with the food and is still yelling I ordered the wrong thing, this time in the presence of a male customer who was picking up an order. It was his first time ordering there and hopefully his last after he clearly heard how she was yelling. That was not even the worst part of it. she slammed my food in the little drawer and forced it out to me. CRAZY!!!! She had the nerve to rudely slam the drawer with the food n it.It was UNBELIEVABLE. I Will NEVER set foot or spend a DIME there EVER AGAIN. I will stick to my usual Peking Dynasty that offers great customer service. In the future please make sure you read back people orders and give a total. Had that been done, I could have told her she did not get my order correct. I've had a streak of poor meals recently, I was hoping for a good one and the Rice kitchen hit the spot. A small Chinese restaurant located in a strip mall. The inside is nice especially for a fast food Asian restaurant. Their menu is extensive for this type of restaurant. I was here for lunch so I had to try one of their lunch combo, although the Thai pad noodles called out to me. I selected the chicken and broccoli, spicy, with fried rice and Wonton soup. The soup was ok and what one would expect from a fast food place. The Chicken and Broccoli was good, broccoli was crunchy cooked just enough the sauce was not overwhelming simply good. The fried rice was cooked well, just sticky enough and a nice nutty flavor, a little more egg mixed into it would have been nice. One bright spot was their hot tea, very tasty, I think it was a mix of green and black tea. Over all a nice lunch with quick friendly service . Exactly what I expect from a " fast" Asian restaurant. The food is not bad, nothing special. However, it is very frustrating when you try to place an order, and if you try to substitute a vegetable, you are told they "cannot" do that, as if there is someone there, who will crack a belt on you, if you try to substitute anything.... and if they do substitute say mushroom for broccoli, you are charged extra. read more

Takeout review... I waited a couple days to see if there was digestive issues. I placed a separate order for 14 people. Every order was correct. We ordered from the lunch express menu, where the only options we made were hot/mild, white/fried, soup choice. Nothing crazy(add this, no that). I questioned a lot of them about their meals. Especially those with fried items. All agreed that they were not over cooked crunchy from the fryer. Nor were they undercooked to the point, they became mushy. Some regretted not ordering red sweet and sour sauce for the egg rolls. Lots of duck sauce in the bag. I had the Hunan or Szechwan chicken. I don't remember. I just wanted spicy, unfried. The sauce at least had some flavor to it, which is more than other Chinese Lunch Express menu's. I found a good ratio of meat to vegetables. Of course there is always an abundance of rice. The fried rice was not greasy or oily. This was a hit. We will keep it in our regular "lunch out" rotation. Now for the appearance. Upon driving up to this strip center, you are met with an eclectic offing of residents. You will first see the door under their sign which says "Please use other door". Not the other next to it, but the other pair 10' to the left. This one appeared to be covered with brown paper by the landlord while work was being done inside. upon closer inspection it was a brown grass shade that is never raised. I imagine the afternoon sun shines in directly. Still a tinting would be more inviting. Inside is the standard aquarium, and waiting chairs. These were hard plastic, and designed to keep traffic from loitering. There was no one dining in at 1230PM, but 3 other takeouts came and went. They were kind enough to pack our lunch in a box, even though I come prepared with clothing shopping bags. A petite eater will enjoy the leftovers in the rectangular plastic container with snap on lid. I noticed my same complaint with another Chinese takeout. The silverware is terrible. We will prepare ahead next time with sturdy table ware to cut our lunch. No digestive issues. See you again. read more

So, overdue review. This is typical mostly take-out, generic menu but tasty "Chinese" food for locals(Obetz, OH). However, their off the menu up on chalk board Spicy Beef Noodle Soup is stupid good. I miss my Too much a spicy noodle soup on a cold day. Owners always greet you with a smile. Noodle soup itself is a 5 star. Beef, mushrooms, bamboo shoots....nuff said. Let's make one thing perfectly clear, this place is not going to knock your socks off. What you will find here is consistent, B/B- range Chinese food. I've eaten here at least a couple dozen times, always takeout. It isn't stellar, no, but it is always the same, and is decent. The flavor is there and it is fast and cheap. You can combo a ton of things for $6.50, we usually get a sweet and sour chicken, that comes with steamed or fried rice, and an egg roll or soup. I also get sesame chicken this way as well, when ordering for two, we get an egg roll on one combo and soup on the other and just share everything. It is more than we can both eat for $13 and is better than McDonalds or Wendy's in most cases. Service has always been prompt and I've never waited long for food. As long as you go in knowing what to expect you shouldn't be disappointed here. I feel like it should be 3.5 stars but you can only award whole stars here. So 3 it is. read more

This is a nice average Chinese restaurant decent size dining area with the option of carry out and to go orders. A very fast service time, I hardly had to wait after putting in my order (10 minutes). I ordered the sesame tofu and an order of crab Rangoon. The tofu might've been cooked a little too long so it was a little more tough than usual instead of traditional fluffy tofu, however the crab Rangoon was excellent and this is one of the few places that uses less cream cheese and actually more stuffing with crab and some mixed vegetables. The fried rice was also decent. I would recommend to anyone that is stopping through the area if you are looking for a decent meal. read more

Good sized clean dining area if you decide to eat in. Food is reasonably priced and the portions are considerable. Their Hot & sour soup is great. Searching for a place close to where I was working on a project and not wanting to use the fast food outlets, I discovered Rice Kitchen Asian Cuisine was quite close to me. Checked out their website, which looked professional, so I headed out. Arrived in time to take advantage of the lunch specials, so I ordered the Pad Thai - all vegetable. It was listed as a $5.50 special, so I asked how much it would cost to add a bit of tofu. $3, I was told, passed on that and went for the standard item. The meal was served in a few minutes, takeout, so I went on my way, delighted that I'd found an option to Arbys, McDonalds and the like so very close. Boy was I wrong. Upon the first bite, I was disappointed. Missing was the sweet and sour taste. No diced peanuts, no hint of lime. Just a bunch of greasy noodles, a pancake shaped disc of scrambled egg on top, and the typical array of vegetables usually served with Asian food. The sauce tastes of an animal fat base and was very slimy. I broke apart the egg roll that came with the meal for inspection. Inside I found some strange bright orange stuff, and CHICKEN. I told them I was vegetarian. You'd think they would have informed me and perhaps offered options. Not wanting to give such a low review on Yelp, but the meal was disappointing. Perhaps their other items are better, but if you like Pad Thai or any hint of something fresh, authentic and properly prepared, you might come away as unhappy as I did. read more

Ordered from here for the first time after reading the reviews and discounting the negative ones. I ordered the pork lo mein and asked them to make it spicy. I took three bites and threw it away. The noodles tasted stale, the meat looked discolored and tasted awful and it just tasted greasy. I won't bother ordering from there again. read more
