Combination Lo Mein Dinner Combination (fried rice, Crab Rangoon, egg roll)
Susie G.

Decided to stop here to celebrate my birthday. The sushi makers immediately welcomed our party and informed us that we could sit wherever. Our server was friendly and attentive the entire evening. I ordered the combination Lo mein dinner special, which came with fried rice, a crab Rangoon, and an egg roll. Needless to say I was very disappointed in the dish. It didn't taste as fresh as I had hoped. The only saving grace was our friendly server who went out of her way to bring us mochi to celebrate my special occasion. Needless to say I will not be returning for the Chinese dishes.

Rice House was the perfect dinner spot for my family. My family order a combo plates and sushi . Yes sushi was on the menu and it was so good . I was able to get a picture of the Honey Wasabi Sushi Roll, but everyone ate them combination plates to quickly to get a pic . I do have to say everything was good and fresh . The service was amazing !

Egg Drop Soup

To preface this review, I am pregnant, and was not able to order many things from the menu, also this was a door dash order. I typically enjoy crab and shrimp tempura and enjoyed these rolls. In my opinion the crunchy shrimp roll was better than the honey crab due to the additional texture of the tempura and it also has the sweet sauce on top. The crab rangoon to me was more of a cream cheese wonton, but was still super yummy and came with sweet and sour dipping sauce. I didn't eat much of the soup (I was so full) but it had the traditional thick texture and the egg was exactly what you would expect. I know prices on doordash can differ from the restaurant itself, but all of these items came in a lunch combo on DD for only $14 which I thought was a great value. I would love to come here and try some food at the restaurant itself and maybe after the baby is born so I can try more things!

First time in even thought I've driven by a lot. Two employees that were working the dining room were very nice and super efficient. I had the Jalapeno chicken which was very good. Only comment would be a tad sweeter than what I've had before and could've used more slice jalapenos. Place was cozy and clean. Definitely be back.

This is by far my favorite restaurant in Lenexa Kansas. They have the most delicious general tso's chicken and their servings are incredible! The sushi is the best I've had in a while and their ginger salad is delectable. Overall the service is great and they really go out of their way to make sure you're taken care of. The staff is super attentive and accommodating. There's one server that has taken care of us every time we go. He bustles around to each and every table. I love rice house! It will always be my go to spot in Lenexa.

All this for $13 and some change after tax. You get your moneys worth and it's so good! Everyone in there was so friendly and genuine too!

We just moved to Lenexa from out of state and we're looking for our new Chinese/sushi place. We ordered togo my first two times here and it was good, quality food. They are quick and have been spot on with our order. Will continue ordering from Rice House!

I'm surprised this place has such low ratings. We dropped in randomly bc of a lack of options. I thought the restaurant was bright and airy, most importantly it was clean. I was surprised I liked it so much because tbh it doesn't look like much on the outside. Our server was friendly and polite, attentive but not annoying. Our drinks and food came fast. I thought the sushi was great. The thing that bugs me about sushi places here is that they all have very similar menus. I was very happy to see some new sushi roll items on the menu - and they were tasty too.

Dining out at any kind of restaurant has gotten pretty spendy in recent years and I've tried to…read moreadjust my expectations. But when I pay the kind of prices they charge at Silo, I need to be wowed and I just haven't been the two times we've dined here--hence, only 4 stars. Food was very good, service was good (maybe a bit slow) and the atmosphere is great. There was just something missing...

We hit the club for brunch with a group, and while the ambiance was pure "Country Club Chic," the execution was a bit more "Sunday Morning Sand Trap." The Liquid Courage I started off my round with two drinks. the Bloody Mary. It was fine--tasty enough, but it certainly didn't change my life or inspire any poetry. However, things got interesting with their Tequila/Cold Brew/Liquor 43 concoction. Topped with an egg foam cap, it was actually pretty solid. A bit of a gamble, but sometimes you have to roll the dice when the menu is trying that hard. The Culinary "Hit and Miss" Then came the food, or as I like to call it: The Great Consistency Crisis. The Steak: I asked for medium-rare; I received medium-well with a "char" that felt more like a personal vendetta against the cow. The Potatoes: Apparently, potato portions are determined by a lottery system. I received about half the amount of the person next to me. Maybe I didn't look hungry enough? The Eggs: My over-easy eggs had crispy, hard edges and arrived at a temperature I'd describe as "lukewarm at best." We also had to hunt down salt and pepper like we were on a scavenger hunt. Honestly, I probably should have just hit the buffet and cut out the middleman. The Service Our server was perfectly nice, but he appeared to be roughly twelve years old. Since he wasn't legally old enough to understand the complexity of a craft cocktail, he couldn't give us any info on the drink menu. We just had to "go with our gut"--which is a dangerous game when tequila and cold brew are involved. The Verdict I'm not saying I won't be back, but consider this a fair warning: if Round 2 involves another charred steak and a side of "room temperature" eggs, I'll be sending it back for a rerun faster than a shanked drive into the woods. 3/5 Stars -- Great for people-watching, questionable for potato-equity.

Here they were all pretty quiet. The food was fine, but didn't seem to have much flavor. Price was within reason. We did also order sushi. That was very tasty and probably the best item. I was craving both steak and salmon, which isn't a combo you find everywhere, so I appreciated that this spot offered it -- and that they were still open at 8PM. I ordered the steak and salmon hibachi through a delivery app, so I'll keep that in mind with my feedback. The hibachi comes with rice and a salad. The steak and salmon were cooked very well -- tender, not overdone, and handled with care. Unfortunately, they were a bit under-seasoned. The rice was cooked properly and would probably pass Uncle Roger's inspection in most respects -- it just needed a little more salt. Flavor-wise, I wasn't disappointed. Under-seasoning is something I can fix at home, and overall it tasted about how I expect delivery food to taste. What did disappoint me was the portion size. For the price point, I expected a bit more on the plate. All in all, it wasn't bad -- but it wasn't great either. Just okay. And okay is fine... just not at that price. I'll try dining in next time to see if that changes my perspective. Thank you for the meal.
