EXCELLENCE EVERY TIME!! BEST gyozo- potstickers! Beautiful sushi!! No simple rice or seaweed wraps-- wide variety of seafood, veggies, fruit rolls, & sauces! Almost too pretty to eat!

I love to come here for their bento box lunch special! It's a great price and you get a little sampling of everything. Their sushi is delicious and the presentation is quirky. I have been here many times and each time the service has been excellent and we get our food extremely fast.

Food Poisoning from eating here on 10/10/25 I really hate to leave this review, but I unfortunately my mom and myself got food poisoning after eating here for her birthday. We both became very sick and have had all the classic food poisoning symptoms. We hadn't eaten anywhere else that day, so I'm confident it was from this restaurant. It's disappointing because the food itself seemed fine at the time and the presentation was lovely, but no one expects to leave a restaurant and end up ill. I'm sharing this so others are aware and so management can investigate their food safety practices -- I'd really like to see this addressed so it doesn't happen to someone else. The rolls we got were the Iron Man, the Sake Panda and King Salmon.

This place is a repeat favorite of mine. The sushi quality always hits and it's speedy service. I like to get it to-go because it's right next to my house. Prices are reasonable as well. This isn't pictured but I also love their stir-fry udon.

Ordered two Eel Avocado Rolls and one Color Dragon roll. Absolutely delicious

The sushi is delicious, the presentation is neat. Service is prompt and friendly. The feel of the restaurant is calm and relaxing. Making it feel upscale and fancy while remaining affordable. Cannot go wrong with this place

Was greeted promptly and walked into a well kept, attractive, modern asian restaurant! Waitress promptly greeted me and took my order. I ordered two rolls, gyoza and a bowl of white rice. All were brought promptly! Presentation, freshness and taste were on point! I do not have anything bad to say. This was a great experience and I will be back!

Stopped by here for a late night dinner. I had only been here once before for lunch, and their bento box was great. We were seated right away and the waitress was very friendly. The presentation of our food was amazing. My boyfriend's order was striking. I wasn't super hungry so I just ordered one roll, but I did have a large beer. They have a good selection and a very nice full bar, if interested. I love that they are open later and I am sure we will be back.

AMAZING. From our waitress to the food to the atmosphere everything about this place is amazing. Our waitress was so sweet. Loved the wide range of options. 10/10 would recommend and will be going back!!

Wonderfully sweet customer service. Oh everything we received was fresh. The crab cream cheese wontons were definitely more so on the creamy sweet and side. The blueberry Mojito is a nice refreshing tasting drinking, real blueberries sweeten the drink not purée... even though purée would probably make the drink taste even better.

As soon as we walked in, we were seated right away, given menus, and our drink orders were taken almost immediately. I highly recommend the lunch menu. There are plenty of options, including sushi, sashimi, teriyaki, and appetizers. We ordered the three-roll lunch special and the sashimi. The sashimi was incredibly fresh and cut into thick, generous slices. The sushi rolls were also impressive they were large and packed with filling instead of being mostly rice. The food came out quickly, and the service was attentive from start to finish. Amazing food, great prices, and the excellent customer service.

They absolutely need to get a larger place, especially when they are constantly busy. It was a weekday night when I went, and it was just as busy on times I've been during the weekend. Very cute place, but not great with the amount of clientele. Staff was great and very attentive. I had two whiskey cocktails and they were nice. I enjoy the fact that they have inexpensive Japanese whiskey. I've been expanding my palette, and Toro and Uni are some of my favorite pieces.. but I must say, I was very underwhelmed with their selection. Toro wasn't bad, but the Uni was so... salty. Not how I've had it before. The roll was just okay. I was very impressed with my chicken noodle dish! That was probably my favorite part of my meal.

The staff was friendly and helpful, and the space was charming, with a Japanese cooking show playing on a wall mounted tv, nice music playing in the space, and eclectic decor throughout. Everything was also very clean and organized, and I appreciated the amazing prices for the food! The quality is on par with other Japanese restaurants I have been to, which often charge more even for their lunch special. I'll absolutely be returning to Sam's in the future to try more of their food!

I would like to be very honest here, I was really misled by the ratings and reviews here on Yelp…read more While I thought the decor was really nice, added a cute Korean and Japanese touch, the food did let me down. We got the Yummy Combo with Garden Salad ($17), the Mango Tango Roll ($14), and the Sakura Blossom Roll ($14). The service was fast, and our server was very sweet and caring. To begin with, even though the sushi looked colorful and appealing, it lacked taste. It was missing seasoning, felt stale, and had almost zero freshness. It reminded me of the premade sushi you get at PanAsia, Target, or Sam's Club. Freshness is a huge factor for me when I go out for sushi, but this just didn't have it. The rice was dry by the time it reached our table, and it wasn't sticky enough. It felt like the cold rice was microwaved and then used to make sushi - that's the feeling I got. I also didn't think it was worth the money. We spent over $50 + after tax and tip for three rolls, which is similar to what many other sushi restaurants charge, but those places serve much fresher and better quality sushi - Sushi Uni in Lenexa. The garden salad dressing was also a complete disappointment. It had no distinct ginger flavor or even enough seasoning. It was very thick and heavily spread over the salad, which made it unpleasant to look at and eat. Overall, the service was excellent, but the food didn't live up to the ratings or the price. The three stars are for the lovely server, the beautiful decor, and the well presented sushi. I really hope they improve the freshness because, based on the older reviews, they seem to have the potential to serve much better sushi. If they do, I will be the first one to definitely come back to try more of their beautiful looking rolls.
