I've been here a few times now, usually after work and it's a good rotational Chinese restaurant. The location is about the toughest thing since it's tucked in a strip that only has access further on down west past the bank where you have to come up and back around or up Quivira to a light. Parking is fine out front usually. Upon entering there's a few tables and booths, but I normally opt for a to-go order. The various cooked offerings have all been great (General Tso's, various Lo Mein, etc). The soups are just okay. And I haven't tried the sushi yet, but it's looked good. Time to get an order ready is the standard 10-15 minutes depending on how busy they are. Service is always quality. Overall it's a good place to grab some Chinese. PS - Like a lot of Chinese restaurants, if you want something to be spicy, you really need to drive home the point that you're wanting something very spicy, since their normal "spicy" isn't spicy at all. read more

I liked the healthy, moist, brown rice option (+$1.25) and the two crab rangoons. The dining area was clean and newly remodeled with a sushi bar, one TV and five tables. A soda dispenser and a liquor license for sake are expected soon. I found the service to be cheerful, friendly and genuinely interested in feedback - nice! Pretty sub par sushi. I got the love boat and I'd say the nigiri was average and the rolls were kind of hit and miss. The caterpillar was really cream cheese and avocado heavy and some rolls were too saucy. Other like the Godzilla were great so hard to say. I came here after a soccer game with my mom and it was a nice calming relief to the hot day. The decor was very cute and the music had a nice ambiance. We were immediately greeted by someone and were seated right away. They were very attentive throughout the meal and we didn't even have to ask for anything. My mom ordered a blue crab roll while I got fried rice and chicken. Mine wasn't very flavorful, but to be granted I got a plain dish. Other than that it was very good. My mom thought the roll was heavenly and ate the entire thing. Something else to add is that the portions are humongous, the prices are relatively cheap, and we got complimentary desert. read more

The food was hot, even though I had placed my order early and told them to have it ready for a later time. The fried rice was really good, we enjoyed that! Crab Rangoon was also good, pretty standard. Drunken noodles were just ok.. my husband didn't think they had a ton of flavor (the dish lighter in color than we're used to), but it wasn't bad. My steamed shrimp and veggies was fine too, actually a better variety of veggies than most restaurants. I loved my hot and sour soup, it tasted more interesting than the other local places I have tried, and with more of the yummy egg drop feature. They lost me on the sushi. I had salmon roe nigiri, and a yellowtail roll. The takeout menu just said "yellowtail roll" but there were large chunks of cucumber in it which really affected the flavor profile. Better to simply list it as a yellowtail and cucumber roll. The fish in both dishes was not very fresh or flavorful. I would come back here and try more of the Chinese menu, but I would not recommend for sushi. Finally, I asked them for no plastic utensils, and got plastic utensils. So they are not paying close attention to the customer notes. read more

I went into the establishment today with my friend to grab some delicious lunch. We were in the mood for sushi so here we were in Overland Park and I pulled out my trust yelp. Upon entering we seated ourselves, and were promptly greeted by restaurant people who took our drink order and then brought us menus. They gladly pointed out the lunch specials and once ordered the food didn't take long to get here. I ordered the lunch sushi roll special with a California roll and white fish Nagari. I also ordered a side of calamari and some green tea. All things were delicious and tasty. They were happy to bring us to go boxes for our leftovers and split our check without any problems. the staff really was just phenomenal and just kind. The restaurant was clean. However, there was a problem with the toilet which I forgot to tell them about. I'm sure if they are aware of it though the handle was broken on it and I had to flush it manually from inside the tank. With that being said, the bathroom was still clean and tidy. read more

This place is ridiculously overpriced for how disgusting it is! Everything about it gave me an immediate sense of unease. The floor was filthy, the restaurant had a terrible odor, and the manager was incredibly rude. I ordered two rolls--the Drunken Shrimp and the Dynamite Roll. The Drunken Shrimp didn't taste awful, but it fell apart the moment I tried to pick it up; there was no structure to it at all. The Dynamite Roll was a sad, mushy pile that looked like dog food. I took a bite, and it tasted even worse than it looked. I called to request an exchange or refund since I ordered takeout, and the manager was dismissive and condescending. Sadly, they have new owners and things are not the same. Crab Rangoon is smaller and not as good. It tasted like the oil used was maybe getting old. The "fried" rice tastes like "fish" rice and does not appear to be fried. It has no egg or onions in now and taste awful because it tastes like fish. The Sweet and Sour Chicken is overcooked as the chicken is slightly hard and stringy. The to go boxes for the rice are now much smaller but the price has increased! I will give them a chance to correct these issues since they are new owners and hopefully, this can still be our go to Chinese place. read more

It honestly just tastes like bad lo mein that's salty. I also asked for a side of chilli garlic sauce and they put chilli oil instead (which are not the same thing) and charged me extra for it which I didn't even end up using. Hands down the worst Chinese food...at the worst bang for buck...that I have ever experienced. I honestly want to go back and return the food / ask for a refund. Knew something was off when the Crab Rangoon looked and tasted like something out of the Hy-Vee Chinese To-Go section. Then I try the Egg Roll...puke..it tastes like the cheapest option you'd find from a frozen food aisle. Finally, the General Tso's chicken and fried rice...you have got to be kidding me!?! Exceptionally bland and soggy/chewy (and I even arrived within 20min of placing the order!) At $22, this is highway robbery. Wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy.
