Small seating but big flavor! Great value and wonderfully attentive and friendly service. Both the sushi "special" the Hawaiian Roll and the Pad Thai were wonderful. For two to dine in the evening and walk out with a tab like that - wow! Can't wait to come back to try some other rolls and dishes! read more

Generous fish portions in my yellowtail roll! Spicy tuna roll was good too. Ginger salad was yummy! Note that one order of nigiri is one piece only. read more

Had the Naruto Roll, Spicy Crab Salad, Miso Soup, OP Roll, Northland Roll, and Rock and Roll Roll. All so delicious and we got full and took some of the rolls home along with a to go order of chicken fried rice and cashew chicken. The service was great and the staff were friendly. The location is clean and spacious and cutely decorated. Bathroom was nice and clean as well. read more

Food was delicious! Some of the best sushi I have had in the KC area and very reasonably priced. I would recommend this place. We went for dinner but I'd definitely want to get lunch here. The service was speedy. The waitstaff was kind and offered great suggestions. I really enjoyed the decor and it was perfect for a casual date night. read more

Got carry out for just two rolls. The sushi rice was neither well seasoned, nor was it cooked well enough. The rice was fairly hard. It tasted good enough, and the fish seemed fresh too. I'd try this place again, it may have just been a one off. read more

I've been here a few times now, usually after work and it's a good rotational Chinese restaurant. The location is about the toughest thing since it's tucked in a strip that only has access further on down west past the bank where you have to come up and back around or up Quivira to a light. Parking is fine out front usually. Upon entering there's a few tables and booths, but I normally opt for a to-go order. The various cooked offerings have all been great (General Tso's, various Lo Mein, etc). The soups are just okay. And I haven't tried the sushi yet, but it's looked good. Time to get an order ready is the standard 10-15 minutes depending on how busy they are. Service is always quality. Overall it's a good place to grab some Chinese. PS - Like a lot of Chinese restaurants, if you want something to be spicy, you really need to drive home the point that you're wanting something very spicy, since their normal "spicy" isn't spicy at all. read more

Ordered through Uber Eats so I can't write about the location or service. I can write about the delicious food that I received though. We ordered salmon and tuna sashimi, a spicy tuna roll, and spicy edamame. The plating of all the sushi was beautiful, even as a delivery order. The spicy edamame was just the right amount of spicy. The sashimi tasted very fresh. I had never noticed this place before, but now we definitely want to try to eat there sometime. read more

Delicious food! I've tried several dishes here, including their yellow curry, and all have been delicious! We also like their edamame and egg roll apps, and my son loves their chicken lo mein on the kids menu. We visit weekly now. read more

Quality hand made food! Awesome unexpected service (now a days). They truly care about what they're serving. We will definitely be back.

What used to be one of our favorite sushi places is no longer a place I will go to. You cannot bring part of the tables food and then wait 30 minutes to bring the rest of the tables food and expect people to ever come back. What's worse is that the manager did absolutely nothing to remedy the situation. read more

I was impressed with the delicious food, the generous portions and the first-rate service at this new restaurant during my dine-in lunch visit. The Hunan chicken lunch ($11.99) was served with a smile ten minutes after I ordered at the table. It was loaded with a flavorful sauce, premium chicken and a good variety of veggies. I liked the healthy, moist, brown rice option (+$1.25) and the two crab rangoons. The dining area was clean and newly remodeled with a sushi bar, one TV and five tables. A soda dispenser and a liquor license for sake are expected soon. I found the service to be cheerful, friendly and genuinely interested in feedback - nice! The menu includes appetizers, Asian wok, noodles, sushi, meals for the kiddos, lunch specials and gluten-free choices. The lunch special prices weren't especially value priced, and I wasn't a fan of the fried rice and brown rice upcharges, so overall, I'm going with very nice! read more

Pretty sub par sushi. I got the love boat and I'd say the nigiri was average and the rolls were kind of hit and miss. The caterpillar was really cream cheese and avocado heavy and some rolls were too saucy. Other like the Godzilla were great so hard to say. Service was good overall and the ambiance was alright. read more

Great service. Good is good. Very affordable. love the mom and pop family vibe and feel of this place. We'll definitely be back soon.

My girlfriend got a takeout order and I was going to sample it since I had never tried their food before. The moment I opened the steamed rice container, a strong fermented odor hit me, and I could tell right away that the rice was at least a day or two days old. I immediately warned her not to eat the sushi, as I doubted it was fresh and suspected the fish might be old. We ended up throwing everything away, including the rice just to avoid getting sick. If you order takeout, always check the quality before eating. read more

I came here after a soccer game with my mom and it was a nice calming relief to the hot day. The decor was very cute and the music had a nice ambiance. We were immediately greeted by someone and were seated right away. They were very attentive throughout the meal and we didn't even have to ask for anything. My mom ordered a blue crab roll while I got fried rice and chicken. Mine wasn't very flavorful, but to be granted I got a plain dish. Other than that it was very good. My mom thought the roll was heavenly and ate the entire thing. Something else to add is that the portions are humongous, the prices are relatively cheap, and we got complimentary desert. read more

Small little space that's great for takeout! The employee greeted me with a smile and had my order ready to go. Everything in the bags was correct (even with my special requests). The food was hot, even though I had placed my order early and told them to have it ready for a later time. The fried rice was really good, we enjoyed that! Crab Rangoon was also good, pretty standard. Drunken noodles were just ok.. my husband didn't think they had a ton of flavor (the dish lighter in color than we're used to), but it wasn't bad. My steamed shrimp and veggies was fine too, actually a better variety of veggies than most restaurants. We'd definitely go back for the fried rice and try another more traditional Chinese dish. read more

Tried out a new sushi/Asian fusion restaurant-interior of the store is super adorable. Service very friendly and attentive. The jalapeños yellowtail was very good. The miso was tasty, doesn't taste like it's from a kit. Price was decent and wasn't overpriced. Recommend going read more

I went into the establishment today with my friend to grab some delicious lunch. We were in the mood for sushi so here we were in Overland Park and I pulled out my trust yelp. Upon entering we seated ourselves, and were promptly greeted by restaurant people who took our drink order and then brought us menus. They gladly pointed out the lunch specials and once ordered the food didn't take long to get here. I ordered the lunch sushi roll special with a California roll and white fish Nagari. I also ordered a side of calamari and some green tea. All things were delicious and tasty. They were happy to bring us to go boxes for our leftovers and split our check without any problems. the staff really was just phenomenal and just kind. The restaurant was clean. However, there was a problem with the toilet which I forgot to tell them about. I'm sure if they are aware of it though the handle was broken on it and I had to flush it manually from inside the tank. With that being said, the bathroom was still clean and tidy. read more

I ordered the lunch sushi special. It was delicious!! It's become my new favorite sushi spot!!!!

This place is ridiculously overpriced for how disgusting it is! Everything about it gave me an immediate sense of unease. The floor was filthy, the restaurant had a terrible odor, and the manager was incredibly rude. I ordered two rolls--the Drunken Shrimp and the Dynamite Roll. The Drunken Shrimp didn't taste awful, but it fell apart the moment I tried to pick it up; there was no structure to it at all. The Dynamite Roll was a sad, mushy pile that looked like dog food. I took a bite, and it tasted even worse than it looked. I called to request an exchange or refund since I ordered takeout, and the manager was dismissive and condescending. Maybe he was having a bad day, but I've never been treated so disrespectfully as a customer. read more

MUST TRY Amazing staff Amazing food Amazing price I thought this place was new when they opened here in OP but their Missouri location has been around for over a decade and it shows! I've called just before closing and had a meal ready for me to pick up right when they close. (Something most restaurants would not allow). The staff is so nice and eager to win you over as a customer. The pad Thai is amazing and usually my go to. They also have their own specialty Rangoon along with original and both are delicious. Give this place a chance and I promise you won't regret it. So glad I made a move on it. I do not usually leave reviews but this place ABSOLUTELY deserved it. I will be back and I will be back often. read more

I was the first person to write a review for Saki shortly after they opened for business and gave them a great review. The food was always good. I also spread the word to my HOA to give them a try. Sadly, they have new owners and things are not the same. Crab Rangoon is smaller and not as good. It tasted like the oil used was maybe getting old. The "fried" rice tastes like "fish" rice and does not appear to be fried. It has no egg or onions in now and taste awful because it tastes like fish. The Sweet and Sour Chicken is overcooked as the chicken is slightly hard and stringy. The to go boxes for the rice are now much smaller but the price has increased! I will give them a chance to correct these issues since they are new owners and hopefully, this can still be our go to Chinese place. read more

If I could give this place a 10/5 I would. Cute atmosphere and decor when you go in, very clean and amazing service. Immediately greeted and seated, drinks and appetizers, then we ordered entrees and they were out fresh within 10 minutes. Everything is reasonably priced, but the food. The food is amazing, crab rangoons are insanely good! Everything tasted so fresh, we got the Mongolian and sichuan wok dishes as well as some fried rice and lo mein. Flavors are off the charts, everything tastes perfect. I will tell all my friends about this place, you have my business for sure! read more

I ordered Dan Dan noodles for takeout and this was my first time trying this place. I have had dan dan noodles before several times and this tastes NOTHING like it. It honestly just tastes like bad lo mein that's salty. I also asked for a side of chilli garlic sauce and they put chilli oil instead (which are not the same thing) and charged me extra for it which I didn't even end up using. Overall didn't taste good nor fresh. Threw my food away. read more

First off, the customer service is by far the best I have ever gotten at any place ever. Every single person at Saki is so incredible that if somehow you were to have a bad experience, I guarantee it was your fault. Secondly, the food is amazing. For a very great price you get some of the best sushi (in my opinion) around here. Also, check out the lunch specials! Absolutely top tier all the way around. I will forever be a customer and I cannot recommend Saki more! read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. It looked disgusting and the roll wasn't even rolled. It looked like they threw rice and crab in a bowl. It wasn't prepared right at all and tasted HORRIBLE. It made me physically sick. read more

Hands down the worst Chinese food...at the worst bang for buck...that I have ever experienced. I honestly want to go back and return the food / ask for a refund. Knew something was off when the Crab Rangoon looked and tasted like something out of the Hy-Vee Chinese To-Go section. Then I try the Egg Roll...puke..it tastes like the cheapest option you'd find from a frozen food aisle. Finally, the General Tso's chicken and fried rice...you have got to be kidding me!?! Exceptionally bland and soggy/chewy (and I even arrived within 20min of placing the order!) At $22, this is highway robbery. Wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy. If you want slightly-better-but-still-awful Chinese food, go to Hy-Vee and save yourself $10. read more

Best sushi in Kansas! Lobster roll is amazing--real lobster!!! Not a cheap imitation. Can't wait to go back!

Have been to this restaurant multiple times and it is definitely becoming a regular for my family. The crab Rangoon is incredible, the rolls are always so fresh and the presentation is top notch. The portions we've had of the fried rice and General Tso are very filling and flavorful and the staff is incredibly attentive and kind. This restaurant is a true hidden gem in a land of bad Chinese food. So thankful we found it. read more
