Salt and Salt & Pepper Pork Chop

The curry fried rice was very delicious and pork chops as well. However, that being said I was very unhappy with how much pork chops it contained. That serving is not worth $20. I was so disappointed and sad. I'm only giving three stars for the fried rice and how good the pork chops tasted. Please kindly either lower the price or increase the serving size. Thank you.

Fried rice, salt and pepper pork ribs, orange chicken, sweet and sour chicken, chow mein, bok choy

Rice Express was delicious. I love Chinese food and this place delivered exactly what I was craving. I usually order the same thing as ordered in the photo I provide at every Chinese establishment, that way I have a good criteria to personally grade Chinese food. This place delivered flavorfully and quantity wise. The meat was crispy on the outside and soft and tender on the inside. The sauces were unique as every establishment has their own touch to the sauces, but I truly loved the flavors here. Another thing to note, I usually get what I call MSG fatigue when eating Chinese food, but I found myself eating lots of it without that fatigue. I ordered delivery so I can't say much to the service, but this place delivered (food wise and delivery wise). This place had the Dyllan Guarantee.

My new go-to Chinese restaurant! I've only had takeout from this place, but it has never disappointed even when they got my order wrong once; everything on the plate was still so tasty. My favorite dishes are the Sweet & Sour Pork, BBQ Pork Fried Rice, and the Bok Choy. The chicken is crispy and everything has such an amazing flavor. Service is quick and everything is hot and when you order multiple things, they put it in a box, easy for transport. So excited to try more!

Mixed vegetables with Beef

Delicious, great service, fresh food. Always friendly. Jalapeño check and walnut shrimp are the best.

Wor Wonton Soup

Sheldon was very hospitable and friendly. Food was prepared quickly. Wor wonton soup was 4 stars, good amounts of green vegetables, wontons and shrimp plus a few strips of pork. Dinner plate was okay with Mongolian beef and chow mein, came with a bowl of soup and an egg roll.

Chicken chow mein

Manchurian beef and chicken chow mein were GREAT. They made the food within 15 minutes and it was fresh and hot. The beef was crispy and the sauce is sweet but not overwhelming. I will be back!

Hair in my congee
Tony S.

Found multiple hairs in my congee, this is disgusting and I've never had this happen to me before. Total we found 3 strands of hair, and that's only what I found before I tossed it all out. Won't be back and I don't think anyone should. Nasty. Avoid!

Food was not bad. Quick service. Ambiance is nice. 4 stars won ton soup. Overall was good. Broth was so so. Wontons were a bit small. Pork and cabbage was good. 4 stars chicken fried rice. Rice was good. Only had a little bit of chicken in the rice.

I was in Folsom, so I decided to stop in for a bowl of congee. Not nearly as many restaurants make it as used to. The restaurant was clean and bright, and the gentleman who helped me was very polite. They have a large menu, including lunch specials, I decided to go with the fish congee. When I asked him what type of fish, he said "cod." he asked me if I wanted ginger in it, and I said yes. It came in a big bowl, there was a good amount of fish in it, and the congee itself was, rich, creamy, and very tasty. The ginger gave it a nice little "kick". The price was reasonable. I would love to come back. Thank you.

Food is Americanized and pretty typical of what you find in Folsom and surrounding areas for this type of food.

SoCal and the Bay Area are where it's at for Asian food... and Vancouver!! Okay, sorry, I'm rambling now. Anyways, I'm glad I ventured a little farther out to Folsom to grab some delicious food. Their orange chicken is super flavorful, and I loved that they used real oranges. The Kung Pao chicken is amazing--they include a variety of veggies and squash, which I loved. The beef chow mein was on point as well. The only reason for the 4 stars is that the chow mein was a little too soft (though the flavor was there), and the price felt a bit steep for the portion size. Three orders for $60--eeep! I miss the good ol' days when a whole plate was filled to the rim and overflowing from the to-go box for $12-$15, but it is what it is. Anyways, if you've got the dough, I'd spend it here. Have a great day!

Listen, on a real bad day, I'll pour some bourbon neat. But on a regular bad day? Banana cream pie from Fats will have me forgetting my problems real quick. I walked in knowing exactly what I wanted, two slices of Banana Cream Pie. No distractions. No new friends. No plot twists. I couldn't wait to get home to have me some silky banana cream pie (lol). Then here comes the young man at the front, asking if I've tried their strawberry pie. Sir... stay focused. I said no, asked if he tried it, and if it was actually worth betraying my original order. He said he liked it. That slice of strawberry pie made it into my order. Y'all, he didn't lie. That Strawberry Cream Pie? A solid 9/10. Had me questioning my loyalty for a second. Banana cream pie, never disappoints. Will always be my favorite. Now, did I need three slices of pie? Absolutely not. Did I eat like I lost custody of self-control? Yes. This restaurant had been…read moreon my radar for sometime, but the fact that it was called Folsom Palace lead my brain to believe it was in Folsom-took me a minute to grasp that it was actually right down the street from me in Citrus Heights. Our usual family of four was a family of three for the evening and this was the restaurant we chose. Boy did family member number four miss out! The service was impeccable from the moment that we walked in. That includes being greeted right away. The waitstaff was incredibly attentive and on top of the details. We ordered some pretty standard items off the menu to please everyone-vegetable chow mein, lemon chicken and pot stickers. Even though these might sound like boring dishes, they actually came out with such flair! The presentation on the dishes were gorgeous. They tasted amazing as well. I love the lighting of the restaurant. It gave it such a chill vibe. It's on a very busy street but you've never know it once you walk in it kind of feels like you are more tucked away in a smaller neighborhood.. The tea was amazing and was great to enjoy while perusing the menu. It's been awhile since we reviewed our go to Chinese restaurant so we set out to try some new dishes as well as old favorites for a fresh rating: Hot Tea - 10 - Lemon Black Tea from a special partner in China. Wonton Soup - 8 - Good flavor in a clear broth. Wonton tastes good but could use more flavor. A solid version of Wonton soup without the frills. Chicken Fried Rice - 8 - Needs a touch of soy sauce amongst other flavors Chicken Chow Mein - 9 - Almost perfect version of the dish. No flavor needed but always room for some pizzazz. Sweet and Sour Pork - 8 - Oerfectly sweetened sauce but the chicken could use a little more crisp and it could use more charred onions, bell peppers and carrots. Honey Walnut Prawns - 9 - Perfectly crisped prawns and toasted candied walnuts (and I don't like walnuts) but slightly over-sweetened sauce. Almost perfect!!! Chicken and Mixed Vegetable Stir Fry Medium Spicy - 7 - Perfectly cooked vegetables and tender chicken but the sauce amd chicken were on the bland side. Great service throughout the dinner but they do tend to stay in the back of the restaurant servicing DoorDash orders so grab their attention when they walk past! The prices were very reasonable for the quality of the food I honestly don't think they raised prices through COVID / inflation. I'm bumping them up to 4 stars...keep cookin!
