My family of 7 came in with a reservation and was met with our table ready immediately. The interior is bright & not too noisy. The drinks and food were delicious. We have absolutely no complaints! I had the chicken & waffles - SO yummy. Service was quick and efficient. Thank you, Taylor, for an amazing dining experience! read more

Great food and great service. Lyd and the bar tender adrian were both awesome and provided the best service. Thanks guys, 5 stars!

we had such a great brunch and Lymanto was the best server! We will definitely be back

We stayed at the Alida hotel and before checking out, we decided to have breakfast. To my surprise it was really good! (We've stayed at other Savannah hotels that had a restaurant attached but their food was just "ok"...nothing special) I was presently surprised at the shrimp and grits! The tomato broth/sauce that accompanied the dish was such a great way to add freshness and a lightness to the dish since a lot of the times shrimp and grits can be very heavy. My other half ordered the French toast. I didn't get a chance to grab a bite but it looked delish! read more

I love this place doe breakfast ! The pancakes are made to perfection. We had the loveliest service from Fatima and Devi.

The host set a poor tone from the start. Rather than asking if we had a reservation, he condescendingly asked, "Were we expecting you?" When we said no, he appeared annoyed and told us there would be a 45-minute wait despite more than 10 empty tables visible in the dining room. We chose to wait at the bar, where we sat with dirty dishes in front of us for about 15 minutes without being acknowledged by the bartender. Ironically, the wait for a table ended up being very short, as the restaurant remained mostly empty. Unfortunately, our server was no better than the host or bartender. The scallop entrée consisted of only four scallops for $46, which is difficult to justify. They were served on a bed of purple cabbage that caused the scallops to turn an unappetizing purple/blue color. The macaroni and cheese, which we expected to be a safe choice, was frankly terrible. The only redeeming part of the meal was the shoestring fries, which were excellent but not enough to make up for the overall experience. read more

WOW. WOW. WOW. Every once in awhile you experience a place that is a true trifecta. Food. Service. Ambiance. 5 out of 5. The best place we ate at during our stay in Savannah. No competition. Not only is the food incredibly tasty but the interior design is top notch. The attention to detail gives this place a true southern, nautical, industrial feel. Ok, you want to know how the food was. There isn't a single thing we would do differently. The food was so dang good that I'm still in awe how this was place was not fully booked. Ok, here it goes. Get the below: 1. Ceviche--they do a twist and marinate it in coconut milk. 2. Hush Puppies--dense just the way I like them 3. BBQ Octobus--super savory and perfect texture 4. Lobster scampi--the melody of the sea but in pasta read more

Chicken and waffles were pretty good. The chicken thighs were seasoned well. Their shoe string fries were crispy and salty in a good way! Their biscuit and gravy were so good that my son almost licked his plate. Service was very friendly and accommodating. The place is beautiful. The kids said it's a fancy looking restaurant. read more

We had reservations on Easter. Our waiter was fantastic. He was friendly and helpful. The buffet was disappointing to say the least. It was maybe 15 feet long. In that area there was shrimp cocktail, a carving station, a few breakfast items and an omelette station. The breakfast items were on a table in between the carving and omelette stations. It was a huge bottleneck. The breakfast potatoes were on par with the chewy flavorless ones you get at a hotel. The bread for toast was larger than the toaster. It took 4 minutes per half if you wanted any color on it. There were no pancakes, waffles or french toast for people who don't eat eggs. The cinnamon rolls with the small selection of pastries were hard. It felt like a money grab for Easter. Maybe their regular breakfast is good, but I won't be back to find out. read more

Devi was a delightful server and the food was delicious. Our family thoroughly enjoyed the meal and experience. The ambiance was also special and fit the vibe you expect in Savannah! Highly recommend! read more

We were staying at the Hilton Garden Inn historic District in Savannah and the front desk highly recommended RHETT, and I'm so glad they did! We started with a Bloody Mary, that I am passionate about, and it was just perfect - flavorful and just the right amount of spice. My food brunch go-to is shrimp and grits and it totally met and exceeded my expectations. Bacon, rather than andouille sausage worked well for me and the sauce was flavorful and delicious, but not heavy, a real, plus. The shrimp were cooked perfectly, and overall it was a very flavorful dish. My husband had the chicken and waffles and loved them. The bourbon infused maple syrup (real maple syrup) was excellent, and the chicken was fried nicely and not too heavily. Chicken breast, tender, and juicy. To make everything even more perfect our server, Yoga, went over and above in attending to our every need. He was always available for extra water or whatever else we needed. His service and charming personality were worth the experience of coming back. And finally, the ambience was perfect. We sat outside in a beautiful patio area with lots of plants and umbrellas. We were lucky to have a nice breeze and they had beautiful piped in music to set the tone. All in all, a perfect brunch experience on a summer Sunday afternoon. I definitely recommend Rhett and look forward to coming back the next time we are in Savannah. read more

Ximena is an excellent bartender and very friendly and personable. She made our experience at the Rhett bar over the top!

We stayed at Alida which is a fabulous hotel. Rhett was one of the restaurants located at the ground level. We ordered breakfast (in some case, brunch) mid morning before touring Savannah. I had the Fish & Chips and they were delicious! It comes with different sauces including tartar and malt vinegar. We also order the eggs Benedict with smoke salmon (they ran out of country ham). It was good and well done but thought it should have a bit more salmon. Pancakes were yummy! Ham, egg & bacon croissant was good. We were seated promptly getting off the elevator. Place feels rustic with a lot of wood furniture. Staff was attentive and refilled our coffee and other drinks. Would definitely come back next time. read more

Rhett is a solid choice for a nice dinner by the river, not on the river but one block up from the riverfront. It was the only top Yelp rated restaurant on the riverfront where we were able to make a reservation for a large party without paying private dining fees or having to reserve a set menu in advance. The space is pretty with high ceilings - although a bit hidden/not good signage from the Hotel Alido in which it's located (it's downstairs - go in the lobby of the hotel then down an elevator, or walk down the street towards the river and then enter from down below the hotel). I hosted a dinner for 20 people last night and everyone enjoyed their dinners. I can only speak to the items I had: Hush puppies with honey butter - 5/5 (best hush puppies I've ever had - light and not greasy at all) Cheddar drop biscuits - 4/5 (biscuits cut in half with a couple slices of bacon inside) Crispy calamari - 4/5 BBQ octopus - 4/5 Rhett Caesar salad - 5/5 - this was really delicious and three of us split the three wedges of romaine topped with a yummy caesar dressing, grated cheese, and some amazing crumble on top Grouper with crab rice - 4/5 French fries - 4/5 (they didn't have Old Bay fries but these fries were very solid) Cardamom Cinnamon Beignets with chocolate sauce and caramel sauce - 5*/5 - hands down the best item of the night! read more

Food was fabulous and Victor provided excellent service! The fried chicken and grits were amazing. Thanks for a great meal!

It was good but not great. Service was slow. Drinks were good. It def lacked flavor.

I give Rhett a rating of 2 because I tend not to give a 1 rating if a place at least had a good point or two. The location is great on the river, the restaurant is open, and large and our waitress was sweet and tried hard. The food was not worth the price tag for the 1/2 chicken which had no dark meat, so it was not a half chicken. Calamari was too salty, and overall food was not up to par with our other favorite restaurants in Savannah. Maybe they will get better and give a better experience for future guests. With a limited menu, one would think they would be experts at preparing what they do have available. Not worth $150+ with so many other places to dine. read more

We were vacationing in HHI and decided to escape to Savannah for the afternoon and dinner out. Reservations are available and I recommend that you make them. Rhett sits "below" the main street but one step above the riverwalk area so if you sit outside you have a great view for people watching without it being loud or congested. We opted to try several small plates rather than ordering dinner meals and that was a great move because it allowed us to try 3 of the best dishes we ate during our entire week of vacation! And we were more than full afterwards (there were 2 of us). The ceviche is nothing like we'd seen or eaten before but it was phenomenal! It was in a tangy coconut milk base with the fish of the day, cilantro, red onions and rice "crackers". It was truly one of the best dishes I've had in a while. We had fried calamari which also included onions and banana peppers which was such a surprisingly good touch. It was a healthy portion and perfectly cooked with the right amount of light batter. Last were the cheddar biscuits which came with a ham mousse and strawberry jam - absolutely delicious flavor profile! Like I said, it was more than enough food for the 2 of us. We had The Pixie and the Usual Fools to drink. They both packed a punch, but in the best way possible. Another unique blend of flavors in both. Service was so attentive and our food came out really quickly, leaving us extra time to stroll the area. I can't recommend this place enough! Rhett is definitely a place to put on your dining list if you are in the area. It was well worth the drive from Hilton Head. read more

I'll keep it short and sweet. Burger was ok. They forgot the bacon. Bottom bun was stale. Should have got an actual entree. The rest of my party liked the food. Crab bisque was tasty. Hush puppies were really good. Main reason for the dropped star is not giving daddy the bacon. read more

Summary: Nice bunch place for groups. Beautiful, hipster decor giving off city vibes. Great brunch food complete with morning cocktails! A must try located on at the Alida Hotel. I visited Rhett for the first time with a Bachelorette party. Went there for brunch and have to say that this place will not disappoint! Great wait staff, catered to all our needs. We had a team of waiters, not just one waiter, we were pampered! I ordered their Loaded Grit Bowl off their Eggs section. This savory dish was SOOO good! It was delicious and really hit the spot! You can order your eggs any way you want -over easy, scrambled- and it was just as good. I didn't have their mimosa but some people in my group did and they said it was great. Had a very tasty dinner tonight at Rhett. We are staying in the hotel so it's great to have a high quality dining option right here! For apps we did deviled eggs and the biscuits both were very good. I had the she crab soup and it was delicious- one of my favorite dishes! And my dad had the fried chicken which was also very good. I was impressed with the food! The server was also friendly but I only took off a star because it took around a half hour to get the check after our meal. But overall we were not in a rush and we enjoyed the food and ambiance in the meantime! read more

Nice ambiance and beautiful restaurant but food was mediocre and overpriced for the taste/quality. We spent $85 for two kids meals, a salad with chicken and a burger with fries. Fries were cold, burger was their version of a "Big Mac" and meat quality didn't seem great (lots of bites of grizzle/fat). We had our children with us and felt like we were a bother to the staff (minus the bartender taking our order who was kind to us). Cute place but not worth the price, in my opinion. read more

Service was slow and had to ask a couple of times to bring condiments, more water...though the staff was friendly. We chose to sit outside so as to enjoy the weather and to be able to hear one another talk. It was incredibly loud inside...it was especially crowded but still very loud. We ordered chicken and waffles, a smash burger and a salad. All of the entrees were okay but nothing really blew us away. read more

This place seems like the type of restaurant no one would ever go to twice. She crab soup tasted strongly of old bay/curry. Drop biscuits were more like a dense hush puppy consistency and had a big glob of ham mousse on them, so we couldn't eat them. Calamari was largely tentacles rather than rings and most of the plate was onions and peppers; aioli tasted like it was just mayo. Husband liked the fried chicken, and I liked my grouper entree, but it was not enough to redeem them for the $60 worth of disgusting appetizers. Don't go here. read more
