    Asian chicken salad

RH Rooftop in Charlotte is hands down the best-looking restaurant in the city. Walking through feels more like touring a museum than going out to eat -- the building and furniture are incredible. Parking is easy and the whole experience of just being in the space makes it worth checking out. The rooftop is on an actual roof but there's not much outdoor seating, so most of the vibe is inside. Food was good overall, but uneven. The Branzino was excellent and easily the best dish of the night. The grilled shrimp were solid and worth ordering. The Asian salad was fine, nothing special but fresh. The Ribeye was average at best -- cooked fine but missing the flavor you expect when you order a steak here. All in, this place is more about the setting than the food. The meal won't blow you away across the board, but the atmosphere makes up for it. Great spot for a night out if you want to be impressed by where you're eating.

Charlotte's RH Rooftop has been on my must go list for years & I'm glad I finally made it. As someone who loves to be surrounded by beauty as often as possible, RH was a top-tier treat for all of my senses. From the swanky yet inviting exterior that gave more of a West Coast vibe and made me momentarily forget that I was in the QC, to the gorgeous decor that RH is known for, to the fabulous chandeliers that made me swoon...and all of this before I made it to the food! The rooftop area was gorgeous, service was great, and food was impeccable. My group started with a round of server-selected apps--we asked for his top three & Sir more than delivered. Creamy burrata, perfectly crisp artichoke (with potato slices mixed in as an unexpected & delicious touch), & some of the BEST grilled shrimp I've ever eaten. I rounded this out with the mini lobster rolls--not mad at the generous dollop of caviar to balance the tender creaminess of the lobster & crème fraiche--and truffle fries. I look forward to many happy returns. Cheers!

As many people have stated before, the place is gorgeous! Such a nice ambiance. We ordered the burrata plate and it was decent. I'm not a big fan of peppers but I tried it and it was decent. Not the best I've ever had but not the worst. The Caesar salad was delicious! The shrimp were well seasoned and the burger was delicious as well. The mashed potatoes were decent but maybe not something I would order from. It was a nice experience but not sure I would "have" to go back. But if someone said they were going there for an event I wouldn't be upset about it. The only thing I would say that's negative is the to go options are terrible. I had left over mashed potatoes and they gave me a huge box to take home. I asked if they had a bowl and the best they could do was a to go coffee cup. For the amount of money you spend there, you would think they had decent options for takeout.

This was my first time visiting. Let me say, the decor is gorgeous. I wish I had taken more pictures but I was already running late. I was part of a group there to celebrate a friend's birthday. Our table was situated on the third floor. The weather was perfect for being up there with the exposed air. The service was satisfactory. Our server got the job done but was not super attentive. One of the people in our group ordered bottles of Prosecco for the table to share. If you're planning a visit, be aware that they only serve beer and wine. I ordered the salmon for dinner. It was tasty but nothing to rave about. I also ordered a side of pureed potatoes. Both items were incredibly light. I'm a pretty light eater but I was able to finish my meal without feeling stuffed. I also tasted some of the broccolini that someone else ordered. Overall, while the vibe is super cute, I'm not sure that the quality of food and service makes up for the priciness. It was a nice evening to celebrate a special occasion. But I can't say that I will be in a rush to return.

Such a nice and pleasant experience, didn't think there was such a nice and elegant restaurant located in Nc Charlotte. The atmosphere was just so elegant and so peaceful with the fountain running. Not to many people when we came here. The fish was my favorite, I honestly was surprised there was no bones in the fish.. The restaurant is a bit pricey but for special occasions it's worth the atmosphere

Absolutely loved this place. The atmosphere was incredible and had a lovely outdoor seating area. We loved the store below as well and the dreamy bar. Every portion we ordered was delightful and tasty! The crispy artichokes were definitely the star of the show and were the highlight. I think next time my husband and I might order two portions! The burrata was perfect as well, so creamy and delicious. My Chinese chicken salad was wonderful too! Only downside of this visit was the speed of service, which may have been because the kitchen was backed up because they seemed a bit busy. My entree was brought out 15 minutes before my husband's, which was a chicken sandwich, that we found a bit odd. Thankfully and very kindly, our served removed the sandwich from our bill. Overall, will return due to the high quality of food!

We had a reservation, but we would be arriving earlier than anticipated. I called to see if they could seat us sooner, and they accommodated us. Upon arriving, we were pleasantly greeted by several people at the hostess's desk. The decor and entire atmosphere were beyond pleasing. I loved not only the floor-to-ceiling windows letting in all the natural light, but the crystal chandeliers throughout. We were seated immediately. We were then escorted to our table, where our phenomenal server, Dennis, came to greet us and take our drink, appetizer, and entree orders. We had a Caesar Salad, which was good. The lettuce was cold, crispy, and fresh. Our entrees were the RH Burger, Fried Chicken Sandwich, and Sweet Potato Fries. Everything we ordered was delicious. A young lady named Nivea walked by, and she complimented me. I thanked her for her compliment. She then asked if we were there celebrating a birthday, anniversary, etc. I then told her I was celebrating my final cancer treatment. She then began to affirm my courage, strength, and ability to fight to live through that. It was then that she expressed how inspired she was by my situation, and she paid for my meal. I thought that was so kind of her. I will never forget that. I cannot wait to go back and try some of the other food choices they offer.

First of all, this restaurant has the best setting, the garden feeling on the rooftop is amazing. It has a lot of light and felt great just to be seating here. Then the great part is that the service is amazing, excellent or whatever word that describes a great service. The staffs are on point. Then the slightly disappointment comes from the food, the food are good but not that fine dining type of good. I think the high price is for the environment not for the food. I will come back on special occasions to enjoy the setting and service, food is just ok.

Asian chicken salad, not enough dressing dry

RH Roof Top Restaurant/ furniture store Very nice atmosphere, ambience and scenery. Wasn't so happy with the food. Appetizer Asian chicken salad dry not enough dressing the waiter took too long to bring the dressing back. I ordered my salmon to be cooked medium-well, my salmon came out seared and raw in the middle, I was disappointed they cooked me another piece and it was way smaller than the other pieces of salmon, overpriced. Our waiter was nice

This was our first time here and it was a fantastic visit. We came here for our Anniversary, upon entering we was greeted graciously from the and directed to the 3rd floor. The atmosphere is breathtaking from the trees to the flowing fountain in the middle of the room. We had a very informative waiter who made many good suggestions. Our food was hot scrumptious looking. We had a very good time.

RH Rooftop Charlotte: Where Elegance Feels Effortless From the moment you walk into RH Charlotte, you realize this isn't just a restaurant, it's a statement. A stunning, architectural love letter to elegance. Think soaring ceilings, crystal chandeliers glinting from above, a replica fountain reminiscent of RH's flagship in Chicago, and olive trees placed so perfectly they almost feel like part of the design blueprint. It's a space that manages to be both inviting and elevated, luxurious without being the least bit cold. Our service was equally polished. Chy took care of us with the kind of attentive charm you wish more places had, and Faith, the manager, stopped by our table to ensure everything was seamless. Hospitality at its finest. Drinks with Intention - We started with two featured cocktails. The riesling by Thomas Hagg was delicate and understated--smooth, floral, and balanced. A quiet kind of sophistication in a glass. The Rosé Spritz offered a brighter note, light, fragrant, and just sweet enough to keep things interesting. Entrées That Deliver - I ordered the braised chicken, and it was exceptional. The garlic--yes, full cloves--was perfectly roasted, mellow and rich, infused into a sauce that felt like something you'd find in a tucked-away French bistro. The chicken itself was incredibly tender, practically melting, and rested over a bed of buttery potatoes that completed the picture without trying to steal the spotlight. We also had the steak, served with a side of flake salt--a thoughtful touch I have personally never seen before. It was perfectly marbled, cooked just right, and simply seasoned to let the cut speak for itself. We paired it with truffle fries, which could hold their own as a dish. Crisp, aromatic, and indulgent without being over the top. A Dessert to Remember - We closed the evening with the butterscotch crème brûlée, and it was one of the best I've had. Silky, rich, and beautifully balanced between sweet and warm notes. The top was crisped to perfection--no burnt sugar here, just a golden shell that shattered like glass under the spoon. Final Thoughts - RH Rooftop Charlotte delivers more than a meal--it delivers a mood. It's the rare combination of atmosphere, service, and quality that makes a place memorable. The attention to detail, the ambiance, the restraint in the menu--it's all intentional and beautifully executed. If you're in the Charlotte area looking for something elevated but approachable, refined without being rigid, this is the place to go. Bring someone you enjoy good conversation with, dress well, and let RH Rooftop do the rest.

    Pathetic!!!!

Honest review: RH rooftop is sadly a disappointing restaurant. The Perception and reality of this restaurant is that social media and Instagram likes doesn't mean the quality and service is up to par. Regardless of price or not, there are so many things that can be improved upon for the price value. When a restaurant is perceived as "Instagram-light" but is disappointing, it signifies a misalignment between its marketing and reality, leading to a broken customer expectation. The restaurant excels at creating an aesthetic image for social media, attracting customers with visually appealing environment and decor, but fails to deliver on core aspects like food quality, taste, or a positive dining experience, resulting in a poor in-person experience Food quality is generic and poor compared to other restaurants at this price point. Service is bad and below standards in comparison to medium and high end restaurants in the area. Example: we came to celebrate my wife's birthday and my wife order the recommended steak by the waiter then brings back a "well done" steak when she specifically asked for it to be cooked "medium". The waiter had the nerve to say the steak is cooked correctly, and due to the lighting it looks "well done". She ultimately declined to even redo the steak since they were justifying themselves, she decided not to eat. At the end they agreed her steak was too well done. On the other hand now they told me that my steak was cooked perfect, "medium", even though mine was well done (see pics). They came back and gave me a raw steak, waiter noticed I wasn't eating it and then takes it back and try's to recook it but still comes back medium raw. At this point I was ready to leave. The icing on the cake was when they brought out 1 cookie with a candle on it for her birthday. Talk about a cheap restaurant!!!! We easily paid over $400 plus 20% gratuity for horrible services and we only had 7 people. They did remove both of our steaks since my wife no longer wanted it and I took only two bites of mine. (Thank you for that), but the birthday celebration was ruined! Ambiance is okay, definitely loud and hard to carry conversation if you are in a large group. Decor is definitely top notch! (No criticism there) Our waiter, needs more training in personality and service. If you don't want to serve people why the hell are you even in the service industry. Having an entitled attitude from a service industry worker can be especially jarring because it violates the unwritten social contract of hospitality. No manager ever approached us due to our steaks not being cooked properly. Not even to apologize for the inconvenience of the situation, especially knowing we are celebrating my wife's birthday. One of my colleagues at the bank referred RH, but I will be communicating and advocating not to come here!!!!! PS. Just come take pictures and go eat somewhere else.

Great spot for a special occasion or girls brunch. The food and service were great. Highly recommend the lobster roll and truffle fries along with one of their charcuterie boards. We can't wait to go back.

I know I made it look very pretty in my photos, but don't be fooled. Here is the complete review. We found the green tomatoes bland and appeared to have been frozen before being prepared. The "Gravy Train" with the mini biscuit was inedible. The gravy itself was OK. Nothing special, not one of the three were "great." But the mini biscuits were terrible, hard, dense chunks of dough. I ate one of them and discarded the rest. The "Chicken Ditch the Waffle" was equally terrible. Whatever they did to turn the biscuit into "fake" French toast is a 100% fail. They were as dense and unappealing as the mini biscuits. The chicken itself was fine. If I was only rating the chicken I'd probably give it a 3.5. The best dish was actually the "GOAT." It was served with a Standard biscuit which we thought was still too dense and dry. I recommend finding an independent restaurant that serves real, "from scratch" food. I should point out that the service crew in the dining room who delivered the food as well as provided cleanup and assistance, were exceptional. They were friendly, courteous, and focused on customer service. I'm sure they deserve more than they are being paid. It was obvious many of them were spanish-speaking immigrants.
