The staff was busy at the counter with other customers, so it was hard to get help that day beyond a friendly greeting. But I did find out that they have far more options available online than what is displayed there. Prices, barring a sale, range from mid to high. I didn't find anything that called out to me that day, and I didn't have time to deal with online ordering, but I'll definitely check them out in advance for future projects. No appointment necessary, and they do have weekend hours.

Trying to keep a positive outlook, I walked into the store despite wanting to flee for my life. I kept thinking it would get better as I made my way through the store. Most businesses display their newest and best stuff at the entrance so that wasn't a good indicator but I was trying to keep a positive attitude. There were a few fixtures that might have been okay but mostly it was chrome chrome chrome. Just because an item has a 1k price tag doesn't mean it is good. I can say the store is clean because it would have to be with all that seizure inducing chrome. There is an elevated area in the back of the store with ceiling fans and garage sale style foldable tables upon which was junk for sale. I wish it wasn't junk but when you look at what appears to be stick on light strips, really what else can it be called? That was the entire store. Their "sale" from February was called their "Love Sale" which is pretty cringe-worthy. Positives: Store is clean Staff is friendly They have Saturday hours.

Our initial plan to frame our current unframed mirrors, but learned that this was not the best path. New plan is to remove the old mirrors and purchase new framed mirrors and affix them to the walls. One of the challenges is that we do not have standard size mirrors. Fast forward to Lamps Plus which appeared to have different sized mirrors. While they have a good assortment of mirrors, they did not have any sizes that fit our dimensions. However, we now a listing of mirror businesses to choose from. Our three week remodel is now turning into likely a five week remodel. Anthony, our sales associate, was very helpful in showing us the mirrors he had available in various catalogs. Lamps Plus specializes mostly in chandeliers and lighting. They competitive prices and was having an up to 50% off sale.

Most of their bedding, sofas and drapes were in muted whites, beiges or off white. Off hand, I thought it would be the type of furniture and bedding Kim Kardashian would likely purchase. RH is not for the faint at heart with regard to price. Their pricing was a bit to rich for my blood. I do not remember RH being quite that expensive. They do have nice things.

The salesmanship and sincerity was totally lacking. My hubs and I were pretty bummed about the experience here. We came home, visited our local store and immediately 3 people came up to greet us, ask if we had any q's. 1 salesperson drew up our space, told us options on how different table shapes would fit depending on 8-10 people sitting. Asked about the colors of our floors, chairs we were thinking of, rugs.. etc. We got more kindness and helpfulness out of the 15min at our local RH store than this place. After the installation, we noticed that the shade was damaged and the fixture was a whole bubble off level. Upon closer inspection, the box had been damaged and repaired before it left the store. After some wrangling, the store agreed to return the product to supplier. Problem is who is going to remove the damaged light and reinstall the replacement light? Texas Bright said that it was not their responsibility for any removal nor re-installation of a replacement light. Texas Bright said that once the light leaves the store, it is the customer's responsibility. I have been a customer since 2007 and spent thousands of dollars. I will never set foot in their establishment again and I intend to inform our decorator. The staff exhibit an attitude and customer service is minimal at best. In fact, all their Austin signs and Keep Austin Weird signs were a draw to venture into the store. Austin's Furniture depot is located on Burnet Road and offers a unique mix of new furniture, statement pieces, and items from local artists. This is not your typical furniture store. Surprisingly, the Austin signs are quite affordable. I asked Shawn one of the store managers, what do folks do with all these signs. He responded by saying the put them in their homes and businesses. One of the eye-catching items in the addition to the signage, are the abstract and unusual artwork covered in shiny glass. I love abstract anything, therefore, I was very intrigued. They also had some individuals featured in the pictures with bold and colorful features. Shawn was friendly, knowledgeable, and very pleasant. He asked what I was looking for and took time to point out some potential selections. It was an overall very engaging and pleasant visit. Will definitely drop in again...
