These guys are LEGIT! A good friend of mine is a student at Fort Lewis, and he 'forced' me into eating here. They keep strange hours...11-3, and only accept cash, but that's not really that big of an issue. I ordered the standard gryo, but their menu had tons of other options. The walls here are adorned with cycling memorabilia because, well, Durango is a super bike friendly town, and from what I hear they are really good friends w/ Todd Wells--which is pretty cool. This review is purely on one of their menu items that I've had twice in two days in a row. It was so good on the first try, that the next day I was craving for it again. It is that good. RGP is tucked away on main street in one of older city buildings. You have to walk inside the mini mall all the way to the back on the right hand side near the Hair salon to find them. On the menu they had Grilled Panini's and I saw wraps. To my suprise its actually the bread they used for wraps for their paninis there. Think of their grilled sandwiches as more like a grilled flatbread sandwichi that eats like a quesidilla and pita, but the textures of the bread is of a wrap bread. The name grilled wrap is a little misleading. What comes to my mind of a grilled wrap, is a wrap that is rolled typically like a burrito and then put through a press. It is not that at all. See my description of the bread above. They make their bread every day, and you can taste it. I ordered what they called a cross of a Superman/Chicken Pesto. It contained grilled chicken, bacon, pesto, cheese, and a spicy ranch sauce, onions and tomatoes. Very tastey. Durango seems to suprise me all the time. read more

Today was my first visit to this place but it won't be my last. I ordered two grilled wraps online and it worked flawlessly. The order was accurate and ready to go when I arrived. My husband ate the Greek wrap and loved it. I had the pulled pork without onions. We both inhaled our sandwiches. Excellent food at a good price. The wraps are BIG. Incredible wraps. We split the Superman. The homemade flatbread was an ideal combo - soft but grilled achieving a subtle crisp. Assembly of roasted chicken, bacon, feta, tomatoes etc was done with care - full attention to detail style. It's not rocket science but too many places don't get it right. I hate wraps that are over stuffed (making them impossible to eat ie: they break) and when ingredients are piled high but not blended. Not the case here. RPG's nails it. Each bite is blended to perfection ... And they don't overdo it on the dressing. There's no real atmosphere (it's in a mall) but with food this solid it doesn't matter. I'd rather enjoy what I'm eating than focus on decor. So if you want a sure thing food wise - fresh, healthy, made with focus and intent - GO HERE. As a side note, the staff is top tier. I'm in Austin where service isn't top of mind to say the least. The gentleman working the register was PROACTIVE in explaining the menu - top picks here... We make our bread fresh... You can sub anything you want... You two will be fine splitting a sandwich... The guy manning the grill was appreciative of my feedback. (I told them we were first timers and loved the wrap).... The Southwest Turkey wrap is by far one of the tastiest sandwiches/wraps I've ever had in my life! This is also a husband and wife owned business. As I recall, the restaurant was always clean and the staff was friendly and accommodating with each visit! The ONLY downside is they don't take credit cards. Being that it's 2014 and many of us don't always carry cash, I think this is a must in today's world. I understand they're a small business and they don't want to pay the fees, but I know for a fact there were times I didn't go there because I didn't have cash on me. I'm sure the same is true for others as well. Not sure which is worse, losing business or paying credit card fees... Regardless, I highly recommend this place for a quick and tasty lunch! Wow. These wraps are incredible. This place is tucked in the corner of the durango mall off main st in the back right. You order at the counter and they'll bring you your sandwiches. They have 3-4 small tables inside if you want to eat there but you can easily eat outside in the mall or get it to go and eat in the park. The wraps come grilled on a soft, chewy, hot bread. They are messy, bring lots of napkins! The ingredients are fresh and tasty, and they have wonderful sauces! We ordered three things from there: The southwest - 5 stars - very very tasty. The guy & girl (forgot the names) - it has turkey, bacon, cheddar, and a chipotle sauce. 5 stars - This one was our favorite! The gyro - Eh. 3 stars. The lamb was average. read more

Pros: Awesome Food - delicious, creative, and fresh! Great Service - always upbeat and polite! Both are consistent. Cons: very wasteful. Disposable everything (plates, forks, cups) - even when you dine in. Still use styrofoam containers. Be sure to check this place out. Great little hidden restaurant. Wait time was 5-10 minutes and the interior, though in need of some aesthetic sprucing up, was clean. Disappointing. I would've asked for add-ons but this was a takeout order so I didn't know it was necessary. The chicken pesto sounds good but the first half was so dry I couldn't eat it. All dry chicken, no cheese to speak of and maybe 4 tiny tomato pieces. The second half was slightly better - actually had some cheese and tomatoes but still bland which is surprising bc pesto is usually very flavorful. RGP's has some darn good wraps. My mom was raving about RGP's and I was a bit skeptical because I came here a couple times when I was in high school and I wasn't that impressed. However I have totally changed my mind because these wraps are DELICIOUS. The restaurant is located in the old main mall in a little corner, so it fills up fast. There are not that many tables inside but a lot of people take their food to go. I ordered the turkey wrap with no cheese and with greek dressing. Each wrap comes with either chips or coleslaw which is legit so I got the slaw =) We had a big order which meant we had to wait awhile, but my mom said they take forever in general so be prepared to wait a bit. It's worth it though! The wraps are giant and they taste great! My turkey was amazing, especially with the greek dressing on it. The coleslaw is delicious as well, I ate the entire container haha Parking can be a bit difficult and as I mentioned before seating is limited but the food is good, portions are big and the staff is friendly. read more

Very unique sandwiches. It looks like it used to be a pizza place that's been converted into this sandwich counter in the back of a small mall with an atrium. The sandwiches seem totally made from good ingredients. The bread must be house-made. You can just tell. And when they put a light grill on it, it makes the sandwich quite special. I had the Southwest Turkey. They said it's their best seller. Get a lot of napkins for it. IT'S CASH ONLY!! But fortunately, it's not expensive either. read more

I hate wraps. Yep, I said it, it's out in the universe now. This, however, is not a wrap. This is some magical, transcendent experience that renews your faith in handcrafted, artisan businesses. Their homemade dough arrives crispy and filled with the freshest ingredients. I opted for a turkey and cheddar with a spicy ranch. YUM!! I loved that they took the time to ask what veggies you wanted, (I got everything but carrots), even though it was busy. One word of warning, their spicy ranch has a kick, but I wouldn't have it any other way. I thought we should split a 'wrap', but I'm glad we didn't.
