Went to an Atlanta United match recently with some friends and we were looking to grab a drink outside of the stadium once it ended. This spot is right across the street (depending which exit you go out of, of course) so we were able to take a nice short walk. It was pretty busy and we definitely weren't the only ones with that idea as we saw some other groups of folks with their ATL UTD jerseys on. We did spot 2 open seats after a couple of minutes so we snagged those and the guys just stood behind us which worked out just fine. The bartenders were so sweet and had great energy. I ended up ordering a mocktail, the Guava Lemon Drop with lemon juice, guava puree and simple syrup, but added a shot of Tito's and it was delicious!! This was an average experience. I ordered the lemon pepper chicken, thinking that it would be delicious since that's what Atlanta is kind of known for and unfortunately, it was not. The chicken was pretty dry and tough and kind of hard to cut through. There was also Not much flavor to it either. It was kind of bland tasting. I will say, though that the sides for sure were enjoyable and satisfying and was a big reason why I even ordered them in the first place. All the main entrées come with cornbread, which was really good. I also ordered mac & cheese, which I enjoyed and I got mixed vegetables as well, which were tasty in addition. So, where do i start?! Place is cute and cozy even near the arena. Nice space decorated well. We were just driving around looking for a spot to eat and decided to stop in... and it really worked out... the food and the experience was all family. Walk in and they can tell -we aren't from around here! But Lacey was a gem and we absolutely loved her and the staff was very friendly! Our new buddy hanging at the bar was celebrating his birthday too so we had to buy him a drink! Had the Hennessy bread pudding (also recommended by our new buddy) and I have never had a better "drunk dessert"! It's in the icing so it's an optional topping but absolutely for the adults! 10/10! We came here for a bite to eat and the place is nice, the bar area. The customer service was good and gratuity is already added but you've got to move quickly here. There was one bartender and she was sweet but she was making drinks for everyone at the bar plus patrons who were sitting at tables. I went here for happy hour with my daytime employer and I was quite pleased. Upon entry, I was instantly greeted and navigated to where my coworkers were located which was on their patio. When I reached the patio, a waitress took my drink order. And to my surprise she remembered our drink orders even though we were moving around and mingling. For food, we had pretzels, chicken wings (hot and bbq), cornbread and nachos. All was good especially the hot wings. I didn't place the order (nor do I know who did) but the wings didn't have bones in. So make sure you ask about that if you care when ordering wings. The restaurant is quite small with a small parking lot which luckily I didn't have to navigate as I parked elsewhere. But I can see the restaurant filling up quickly especially before a game as it's right across the street from the Mercedes Benz Stadium. But inside was such a nice fit. Intimate with good vibes. We paid about $100 for two. We had 2 entrees, one side, one appetizer, and 4 drinks. Soul food spot. We had to wait about 15 min for table. There is a small lot for parking- but if that is full there is a church to park at across the street. Very close to the Georgia World Congress Center and Mercedes-Benz Stadium. You can walk to the restaurant from there. Pros: The food was great! Everything is made fresh... no canned yams, no canned greens, real potatoes and real vegetables. I got the pretzels and queso, fried catfish with Mac and cheese, yams, and a side of greens. () Plenty of TV's and hookah available for purchase. Hookah at normal Atlanta prices. Cons: We waited a long time for food. About normal for a popular Atlanta food spot though. Would I Go Again/Recommend: Yes. I would go again but order take out. I have the Atlanta Dining Out Passbook so since this restaurant was in the book, I stopped by before going home. I was seated as soon as I walked in and was greeted with some water and a piece of hot cornbread by my server. The cornbread was so delicious! As I browsed the menu, I noticed the music playing was not censored. Since it was 6pm on a Tuesday, I was not expecting uncut music in a restaurant. I ordered the Nashville hot catfish with yams and greens for sides. The fish was golden brown and pipping hot, just needed more heat from hit sauce. I enjoyed the collard greens, but I was not a fan of the yams. They we canned yams and covered in thick sugary, almost slime-like syrup. I also ordered a chicken ceasar salad wrap to go. The wrap was pretty good, but there were pieces of old lettuce inside of it, and the side of fries did not have any seasoning. read more

There were a lot of people dining because we were all going to the cowboy Carter concert. I was there for probably about 45 ish mins. Not a long wait at all. Haven't even tried the food I've already been solicited twice. So my friends and I were trying to have a celebration dinner for my friends show. Checking out the menu online and it says 20% gratuity on all dine in orders so basically you're already charging me $20 to get inside and spend more money to try/buy your food or establishment. People were their having lunch meetings or just enjoying each others company. Free parking in the lot but I imagine it fills up quickly during peak hours. Food: they start you with a complimentary corn muffin drizzled in icing. 1 per person. Ask for an extra and it's $1. Why do I know? Bc I asked for an extra and she didn't even mention the extra charge. The icing over did it for me so I requested it w/o and it was pretty good. Nice , warm and moist. The veggie tacos left a bit more to be desired but with extra salsa, they were pretty good. The yams on the other hand were underwhelming, unfortunately. One of mine were still hard and they didn't fully absorbs the flavors. However, they weren't too sweet which was a plus for me. The Mac n cheese was decent, but the noodles were over cooked. Service: things started off good but what I noticed that other servers don't like helping other tables (well, at least the one I asked) . I asked another server for some extra salsa bc I didn't see mine and she was visibly annoyed. Ultimately my server ended up bringing it to me. At times when I was looking for my server, she was in a corner on her phone. It wasn't busy but I would have appreciated more attentiveness. Overall I would consider giving this place another shot if I was in the area. Oh, note that they charge a mandatory 20% gratuity even if you didn't get that in service. Lol. read more

Great service. My service was knowledgeable and friendly. I enjoy the drinks as well. They also have hookah. The cornbread was great. It was coded in a sugar glaze. I would definitely recommend the fried turkey wings and gravy! I have never had fried turkey wings so flavorful. I highly recommend. The catfish was not as good sadly. But the ambiance was chill. My very first time here, just moved from Orlando and I HAVE to say this is some real southern food the owner was very personable, she told me exactly what to get and absolutely did NOT miss. We stopped in here as a random place to grab something to eat last night (around 9:30pm). It was semi crowded as the basketball playoffs were on. Lively crowd. Clientele is mixed. The music was all trap and pretty explicit and a turn off after a few songs to be honest. Maybe they should switch it up. They have a pretty large bar so we sat there and were served immediately. My bartender was really nice and attentive. I ordered a Long Island which was just okay but huge so you get your money's worth. I also ordered the fried shrimp which were also just okay but the dipping sauce elevated them to good. My homegirl ordered the spicy bbq wings which took about a half hour to come out. But when they did....oh my! These might have been the best wings I've tasted my 3.5 years here in Atlanta! Seasoned to the bone, juicy, flavorful. Very very enjoyable.
