TLDR: not 3A certified. Do not use if you have plant related infestations. if you're a woman. If you don't like to be gaslit by ex cops. I'm a small business owner that had a terrible fungus gnat infestation in my plants. This happened to be a truly terrible season for fungus gnats. At the time I didn't know, but only companies with 3A certification should be dealing with pests in plants. Something I later heard from one of their own technicians and confirmed by my landscape company. The treatment they performed was something I could've done myself, and did not help the issue. Three weeks later, I asked them to come back. They said they would come on a Saturday, I cleared my clients, last minute they said they couldn't come which cost me $3000. They said they will be back on Monday, they canceled Monday and said they'd be there Tuesday. When the technician showed up, he looked me in the eye and said to me have you tried Neem oil. I kid you not this is real life a grown ass professional pest control person asked me if I use neem oil because he heard once that it worked for a friend of his. When the general manager called me, they said they would cancel my account, but not refund me. But I let them know that they were not certified to do the job in the first place. He deflected and said he was still not returning my money. When I said they cost me a plant, he said no they didn't and when I said that they cost me time and money, he said no they didn't. He basically was 101 learning Alex class in gaslighting. Then shockingly I find out he's a former cop. He refused to do anything further for me. So I called him a mthrfkr, and I hung up. So I guess if you wanna be gaslit by a former policeman and feel the need to call somebody a motherfucker than definitely work with this place read more

Beware of the supposed fine print in the one year contract!! I signed a 12 month contract and called twice after I moved to ask that my contract not autorenew. I paid the remaining months on my contract without fail. When I called to ask why they were still charging me and to request a refund they said that I did not cancel "within 30days". I called with more that 30 days notice and not only did they charge me but extended my contract without my signature!! I will be contacting the BBB and my credit card company regarding this fraudulent company read more

BUYER BEWARE: DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They send their exterminators out without product. I had a mouse issue in my apt, and spoke to a lovely woman on the phone, who assured me they would plug all holes. They came on time (on a Saturday morning), but told me they had run out of product because it was their third stop of the morning. I said, what am I paying for, and asked if he could get the product. He said he had other jobs to go to, so I called the company, who offered to cancel the job, but they charged me $163, and then another $54 the following month. This is not the way to run a business - to promise a service, appear without product, and then charge for it twice. Anyway, lesson learned: do not click on the first company that comes up on Google. I found a much better, mom& pop exterminator, who came prepared, and who has cured my mouse issue. read more

We've used them for 5 years, but they have recently outsourced their customer service department. While they have no issues with billing us $150 per month, calling to schedule a tech to come and actually perform the services has become damn near impossible. After trying to schedule services for over two weeks, we finally requested to cancel our services altogether when Alison hung up on us. Now we have to get our lawyer involved. This is a long overdue review. Firstly they charged me $381 dollars for a bad service done on 9/4/21. They only foamed 2 cracks in the bedroom with no mesh and no holes were sealed but traps were set. Also terrible customer service, the rep (name starts with A) actually said "I CANT DEAL WITH THIS RE-SCHEDULING APPT ANYMORE IN EMAILS! YOU NEED TO CALL THE MAIN NUMBER!!" How rude!!! After a month we still have mice issues...we found a giant hole! I was concerned since it was so big my tenant had to stay at a friends house to avoid the mice issues! so I quickly asked my friend to help seal the hole to avoid further problems and the cost was free! I should of went straight to my friend to check the apt for me i would of gotten a free service and till this day we have no mice issues! 1 star is for the 2nd technician crew that came and did a much more thorough job! I really didn't want to give them such a bad review but for a service that's almost $400!! The hole should've been fix! Having bed bugs is no joke! I just got back from vacation and freaked out as I got bitten up at my hotel. Two nights later I find a bed bug crawling around my bed frame. I freaked out and somehow captured it. Rest Easy Pest Control was quick to help. They took my call right away and then came out same day to inspect and treat. Two weeks later we had our 1st follow up and no more bed bugs were found, and I have not been bitten since. They took a really awful situation and made it as stress free (as possible). Do not use this company for pest control if you actually want your issues resolved and to have good quality service. Started renting a new place a few months ago and not long after moving in, we developed a bee problem. They were getting in from the outside and making their nest in the ceiling above my bed. The landlord called rest easy and they came out and vacuumed the hive out and I guess sprayed some kind of repellant. They didn't seal the entrance, however. The first few days, the bees scattered around the outside of the hive, which I read is normal. After a few days though, they went right back and started rebuilding the hive. In that span of time 2 bees got inside the house and they started migrating all over the property . We had to duck and evade bees for several days at our front door. Rest easy evaded my landlord for a week, and finally 13 days into their 2 week guarantee the landlord got them to agree to send a tech back out after having to threaten the company. They state they will guarantee they come back if the issue isnt resolved after 2 weeks but the reality is they will try to leave you high and dry. The tech is coming back today so we will see what happens. However, I would not trust this shady company after what we've had to go through with them. read more

The technician moved a dishwasher in an apartment in my house never asked me the owner and contract holder permission Also never discussed any liability. They caused damage and then I needed to pay for a plumber to fix the problem. They will never respond because they know how wrong they are. No apologies nothing. They are a money hungry business they don't care about people's problems. Disgusting and should be closed down. read more

Beware of Pricing Bait & Switch/Terrible Customer Service yet Great Technicians. Technicians who came out are top notch, unfortunately the company isn't entirely trustworthy. Two times over my year long contract the company misquoted me higher prices for service or tried to downgrade the service (blamed it on a "new" customer service rep). Perhaps it's because I'm a woman? I still have time left on my year long contract and when I told the customer service rep I wasn't renewing b/c of the pricing and service fluctuations she rudely said, "thank you for your business" and hung up. I'm still a paying customer until my contract ends. This is not Rest Easy at all--they play games with pricing and are rude to people who are current customers, so if you do engage with them you have to record every phone call and maintain all of your records. I also noted this on the BBB website: "This firm has misrepresented itself as a BBB Accredited Business on its website at http://resteasypestcontrol.com/. On December 4, 2017, the BBB requested that this firm cease and desist all unauthorized use of the BBB name and logo on its website. THIS FIRM IS NOT CURRENTLY A BBB ACCREDITED BUSINESS with the Better Business Bureau Serving Metropolitan New York, the service area in which it is headquartered.As of December 6, 2017, the business responded and removed the unauthorized use of the BBB Accredited Business seal and torch logo." It's the cockroach theory--if there's one roach, there are more and if you lie about one thing you'll lie about something else. After calling 2 or 3 places I have finally got in touch with one who picked up and I am glad they did. I spoke with Allison on the phone and she was not only knowledgeable but also answered all my questions. We decided to move forward, appointment setup was easy, and we were given a two-hour arrival window. We have been battling Roaches for the past year(we live on top of a restaurant) Carlos inspected and then began treatment he baited multiple areas in our kitchen and around the apartment. He also used a spray that did not have a smell. We discussed ongoing treatments since we know the source is below. Rest Easy Pest Control was amazing! What a scam, they charge a monthly fee for a one year contract and only show up 4 times a year. Buyer beware! I called for my Aunt who had a mouse problem, they came and dropped down a few traps and charged her $500.00 and we had to call for them to change out the traps. She still has a mouse problem and she pays a monthly fee of $62.00 not sure why, they really didn't do anything we couldn't do with a mouse trap kit from Amazon for $11.99. read more

Bad experience after I booked a 5-month treatment and even had the first treatment scheduled and confirmed. I was contacted the afternoon before the day of the treatment and told that a new person on the team gave me the wrong pricing and it was actually over $150 more, and that I must have confused the new person by asking for multiple service options. I asked them if they would hold the pricing for this season and they refused. Called and scheduled TruGreen who ended up being $200 cheaper for the season. read more

I hate admitting that I had a bed bug issue, but the service and professionalism offered by Rest Easy is worth outing myself to tell others how great they are! When I was concerned that I had the bugs and Jeremy, Oscar and Adam happened to be in the neighborhood that day. They quickly came to my home and identified the problem. We started a course of treatment that week. My "low/moderate" infestation required three rounds of treatments over the course of the next two months at a total cost of about two thousand dollars, which had to do with the size of my apartment and the number of rooms they would be treating. It might sound pricey, but I believe I paid for great, quick, efficient service that worked. It was easy to schedule appointments. They were professional and courteous and always answered the phone immediately or called me back within a short time. Oscar and John came to my home to perform the treatments (and at one time another employee). They were quick, prepared, thorough, and managed to sort through my belongings in a way that did not make it look like a disaster when I returned home. As frustrating and painful as an experience this was, hiring a company that knew what they were doing and did it quickly, I believe was a great decision. Oscar was extremely helpful in identifying the source of the problem and telling me how to fix it. He also gave great advice on how to remain bed bug free after treatments, as best as possible. Additionally, the company was available by email and encouraged me to send photos of possible bed bugs and anything else I noticed. Moreover, they went to some of a friend's home and a neighbor's home to check for bed bugs and came back with negative findings. Indicating that they were honest in what they found. HORRIBLE experience. When I first signed up for service and was told I would be signing a year long contract, I specifically asked what would happen if I wanted to cancel service before my contract ended, and I was told there was no cancellation fee. The first man who came to our apartment hardly looked in our cupboards, even after we told him we'd been having horrible cockroach issues. He casually sprayed a couple of tiny spots near the cracks in the kitchen and then said he was done. Of course the cockroaches were still rampant weeks later, so we called them again. The second man that came took a closer look in our kitchen and shook his head in disbelief. "Who came here last time!?" he asked, and told us there was a nest in our cupboard. We decided to cancel our contract after this second visit, but when we called the company, they refused to let me cancel without a charge, regardless of what I had been explicitly told. They charged me a sizeable cancellation fee and told me they were doing me a favor by letting me cancel contract at all. Fastforward four months - I checked my bank account and notice a quarterly charge from Rest Easy. I emailed them asking for a refund, telling them I'd already cancelled my contract months earlier. They responded by sending me a copy of all my charges (they'd charged me TWICE since having cancelled) and said that they wouldn't refund me because of the contract I signed initially, and that I was lucky I hadn't had to pay the full amount for a year's service. They told me they'd take my card off their system, but that was it. I asked them to please explain the seventy dollar cancellation fee, from a date when no service had been provided, and they ignored me. I work in customer service, so I understand how businesses operate, and I'm generally very understanding, but this company left me in disbelief. Refunding a $35 charge or two wouldn't have hurt them in the least, but their service was awful and they chose to go back on their word multiple times. Please do not trust them in your homes or with the keys to your bank account. read more

Hello Pest Control also known as rest easy pest control sucks do not use them they are a lying bunch of thieves literally and figuratively running a bait and switch scam on customers. First unlike most legitimate exterminators they charge 150 dollars for an inspection (most I found out do not charge for an initial inspection.) Secondly they want to sell their seasonal plans and refuse to do a single treatment process claiming they state that in their advertising. No such thing is stated. They sent over Jason who took my 150 dollars, did a very cursory inspection and then said he did not want to drill holes in my wall to apply the chemicals that would rid me of my pests. I called another extermination service they conducted a free inspection and they told me they there would be no problem fulfilling my extermination needs and would drill and refill the holes as part of the service. If holes are not drilled to introduce the killing chemicals the pests can not be eliminated. The biggest liar working for this firm is Alison who promised to call me back (she never did ) and then promised to give me a job price estimate by the next day and which I am still waiting for several days latter. and told me their advertising specifies they only offer seasonal plans. I would recommend no one to use this firm. I will be posting complaints with the Better Business Bureau .Google and the Certifying extermination associations. 0 STARS read more

I am not really in the habit of writing reviews, but when I receive exceptional service I feel it is earned. My family and I have been terrorized by these huge camel/cave crickets that have lived in our basement for years. I have to go down there to so laundry, so I can't avoid them. My children, however, refuse to go down to the basement. These crickets do not jump away from you when you walk towards them, they actually jump towards you, which makes them even more terrifying. I decided we had had enough with these disgusting critters and called Rest Easy Pest Control. They answered the phone right away and told me they would have someone at my house the next day, since it was already late in the afternoon, otherwise, I do believe they would have been there that same day. They fully explained the treatment to me, which I was very happy about. Jeremy told me they were going to use all-natural ingredients rather than toxic sprays or other treatments. This was important to me, since I have small children and a dog. The technician was very nice, informative and professional. The treatment took about 15 minutes, and it literally worked within a day. I went downstairs the following morning and there were no crickets jumping around. The only ones I even saw (and there weren't many) were dead. I haven't seen a live one since. My landlord's exterminator wasn't helping, and it got to a point where my sink would have a congregation of cockroaches--during the day--as soon as I left the room and there were a few mice running around. I contacted rest easy late last week and spoke to a rep who promised my yard would get sprayed before the 4th of July. (barbecue planned and wanted to get rid of mosquitoes for the party). Before I paid, I was promised a Monday appointment, which changed to Tuesday after I paid in full for seasonal treatments. I got home in the early afternoon on Tuesday and there was no indication the yard had been treated. I called and was told my appointment had been switched to Friday, without my knowledge or consent because 2 guys called in sick. I canceled my contract. So disappointed! read more

Not very happy with this company. Paying a monthly fee for termite and spiders. Well they always come unannounced during the week when no one is home and just inspect the termite stations. I expect a call with a day and time but that seems to be too much work for them, of course then they would have to actually do their job and spray for spiders. I work at a veterinary hospital. We had a terrible ant problem for months. The previous pest control company that we were using would come in every month and treat but the ants would return a few days after treatment. A friend referred us to Rest Easy Pest Control and since they have been treating our office (over 6 months now), we have not seen 1 ant. After seeing how great of a company they were, I also had Rest Easy come to my house to take care of the overwhelming amount of mosquitos this summer and they did a great job. I was finally able to take my toddler outside and play without getting a million bites. We are very satisfied with the services they have provided us and would highly recommend them to anyone with a pest control issue. read more

But after calling 2 other companies about what may or may not be a bug bed issue, I spoke to Alison who was kind, considerate and patient with me. He placed traps in areas that are not visible so as not to attract guests' attention to our mice problem. I'm not proud to admit that I've had bedbugs 3 times in 4 years. My building had them when I came in and will have them when I leave. This means I've had the chance to watch how companies work more than once. The first time I used the landlord's exterminators. They panicked me, hugely inconvenienced me, and even though the treatment itself is paid by the landlord, their process cost me a lot of money. The bugs were back in a little over a year. No way was I going to go through that again. I decided I wanted to learn up and make educated decisions on my own and found these guys and have worked with them since. They demystify the whole thing and really help you to not freak out, see it for what it is, and to be smart about what to do, but also about what you don't have to do. Their guys are all great, and are actually kind of charmingly fanatical in studying and understanding how these little pests work. Helped a lot, especially the first time, but in times after as well. I frantically called when I found a bug in my newborn's crib. I spoke with Allison who helped calm me down. She was so nice and said if I sent her a pic of the bug, she would be able to let me know if it was a bedbug. Within minutes, she called me back and assured me that it was just a beetle. Not only did she save me the cost of an inspection, she also helped calm me and bring me piece of mind.
