If you're like me, you've been putting off a new roof for about four years.... It's a scary world out there in finding a good roofer AND who won't utterly rip you off. Everyone has heard of the horror stories roofers give you an initial estimate, which is great if not reasonable and then once they start doing the work, they try to add 5000 extra dollars because of stuff they find or they don't honor their work. I was stressed out about doing this, but it had to be done. Like everyone else, I immediately ran to the reviews. So, here is my experience. they sent two contractors ( NICK and ALLEN) to come and give me an estimate. Nick and Allen were absolutely phenomenal. I grilled them on so many questions on so many details even demanding to see it in writing, and these guys came through as if it was no problem. They had drones come and take pictures of my roof. They measured they looked at support beams They looked in the attic, they took photographs of everywhere they looked, and they measured some more. Their price was very reasonable. They showed me their license and insurance which I verified through the Better Business Bureau. When I agreed, they finished the job in three days. The workers who came worked hard , they were very clean and after each day they would walk around and pick up all of the loose nails, trash and debris. Every day, Nick, or Allen would come by to inspect the work and the workers. they would ask me if I need anything or if I see any concerns. The job didn't go perfect which is expected on any job. One of the support beams of my patio ended up snapping which they replaced without any extra cost and the work done to replace it makes it look original which I was super happy about. When the work was all completed, the roof looked great and the rafters looked even better. There was no trash or debris anywhere. Nick is one of the main guys I message back-and-forth with still up to this day as he randomly checks in to see how the roof is doing since we've had record level rains which I think is phenomenal. Thank God I did the roof when I did do it because there has been nonstop rain and my roof hasn't leaked a drop. So if you were like me, and you're out there, terrified of being ripped off taken advantage of, or given poor quality work, I would recommend this roofing company. Don't get me wrong. I am super grateful this is over with, but I really resonate with people out there looking for a good roofer because there are some terrible ones out there. If you're lucky enough to get Nick or Allen you will understand why I felt writing such a good review for them. If it wasn't for their sales pitch, being honest and direct, I would've never gone with the company. These two guys deserve a raise. It has been six months now we have had extremely strong winds. *2/4 update* Saro, one of the owners, met with me and provided a lot of background around their training process, their approach to fixing roofs, workload during this time with the recent rain, etc. that provided a lot of context in the matter which was very helpful and appreciated. At the end of the day, we have a felt paper underlayment which is not as durable and their recommendation was to replace that and lay new tile as changing individual pieces of tile would not maintain the same level of waterproofing. I do believe this is an honest business and my particular situation was the result of some miscommunication and misunderstanding. *Previous update* When Rescue Roofing came to inspect the leak at our property, they showed me photos of our insulation being soaking wet. We have since had 2 other contractors come by to inspect the attic and insulation, these contractors were unable to find any wet insulation. I also went into our attic myself and did not see any wet insulation. My experience with Rescue Roofing has been very negative in that what Rescue Roofing told me was drastically different than what other contractors have told me and Rescue Roofing failed to detail their findings in their quote as well as NOT include any pictures of the wet insulation and damaged underlayment (which another contractor also said is perfectly fine). Why would they not include this? It is standard practice for a contractor to provide these. *Original review* We have a leak in our roof, which became apparent from the heavy rain that has hit LA in recent weeks. I called Rescue Roofing Construction to get an inspection done. First appointment, they didn't show up. They later called and said one of their employees injured themselves. Fair enough, stuff happens. We rescheduled for later in the day, again they did not show up and there was no call letting me know. Instead, I was sitting around waiting for someone to show up all to no avail. Rescue Roofing Construction shows up on the third attempt and they said they BELIEVE the leak is due to the underlayment and their recommendation was to: 1. Replace the underlayment and tile for about 1/4 of the house (i.e. where the leak is located) at a cost of $17k. 2. Replace the underlayment and tile for the entire home at a cost of $55k. I know the roof and underlayment are fairly new so this recommendation of theirs seemed to be overkill and unnecessary. That said, I got another inspection and this other roofer said the underlayment looks FINE. They did notice an issue with the flashing on the roof and said there are a couple of tiles that need to be replaced. They quoted me $800 to get it repaired. This was a drastically different diagnosis than what Rescue Roofing Construction provided. My thoughts are that Rescue Roofing Construction did not conduct a thorough inspection, because if they did why did they not notice the issue with the flashing on the roof? Instead, they opted to propose replacing the underlayment for 1/4th of the house or the entire house, both of which are UNNECESSARY. I would NOT recommend Rescue Roofing Construction for the reasons stated above. read more

After two weeks of vetting, Rescue Roofers landed my #1 pick amongst 5 competing companies. My main point of contact was Eric. He gave me peace of mind in making an educated decision, regardless of which company I was to choose. Rescue Roofers provided the clearest, most concise contract, and Eric diligently explained all parts of it- line by line. After speaking with him, I became familiar with the industry standards and identified pitfalls in other companies' poorly written contracts, overpricing, and quality of services. Although Rescue Roofers were not the cheapest options, their honesty and transparency are why I selected them. One day after signing the contract, they attained the required permits and began demolition. Then six days later, they finished a complete re-roof. Given the time-sensitivity of other projects within the home, it was important that they finish the project sooner rather than later. Eric was unaware of my need for a quick turnaround but delivered a clean and finished project three days earlier than expected. When it came to financing, Arthur was very kind and thorough in explaining the loan process to my mom. Her skepticism changed as he explained specific numbers, due dates, and concepts like no early payout fees. (Note, financing was with a third party company) Again, the company establishes trust by educating its clients on related procedures to make educated decisions for themselves. They'd either ghost me, not bother to follow up on estimates, or just were very hard to get in contact with. I contacted Rescue Roofing with a very tight deadline to replace the roof due to an insurance company inspection. The roof was over 25+ years old and the granules were already coming off. Bought a 20 year old home with concrete roofing tiles. Needed the underlay checked (~20 year underlay lifespan), called rescue roofing. A next day appointment was able to be scheduled. James and Allen from rescue roofing showed up on time. They were thorough and extremely helpful. They used a drone to examine the roof and climbed up in my attic, they gave my underlay a clean bill of health and told me to have it re examined every 3-5 years barring any leaks. All of this was done free of charge. At 20 years old the underlay does need periodic examinations, and James and Allen gave me their honest opinions, that it's good for now and to periodically reevaluate. Giving a shout out to our main guy Eddie M. who we had an opportunity to work with when we replaced our roof 2 yrs ago. Eddie was very pleasant to deal with during the whole process. He was thorough in explaining all our options during our first meeting and always made himself available to all our questions from beginning til the end of the project. SoCal was just hit by a a bad storm the past few days. Much to our surprise, we started having a bad leak on our ceiling in our dining room on Day 1 of 3 of the storm. There was water coming out from the chandelier. I immediately called the company because we feared that the leak would cause bigger damage. As expected, I was told that they were trying to prioritize all calls which I understood and will send someone soon. After 3 calls though I was still not given any ETA. Yesterday Eric and Sam came to check my roof to see any leakage( there is water leak from the roof) They even have drones to check ( very technological and upgraded) on the roof and show me on the screen . Of course Eric went up the roof to check to see what issues on the roof. It turns out drain clogged issues or tiny crack on the edge of roof. They told me to bring plumber first to resolve issues and then seal the crack with handyman. They are not like other roofing company to try to rip you off to say fix/repair the roof. Our relationship started with a free consultation. We needed to get our roof replaced. Harry and James came to inspect our home and did both an exterior and interior review to understand the condition. We consulted with a few other companies and no one else did this. Harry explained they wanted to understand the structure/foundation and disclose conditions found so nobody had any surprises.
