I waited to write this review to ensure that our roof held up to the rain. Well...it passed! Our new roof held up to the recent rainstorm during Christmas holiday and there were no leaks or issues. Awesome job on my new roof and super happy with the work. We went with Reno's Roofing after talking with a few other companies. Talked to Roger on the phone and he promptly came over to give me a quote. Price was very competitive, which was better than most quotes that I got. Quote didn't include any plywood, but he threw in 2 plywood for free (only had to replace 6 plywood total, so paid for 4). We got our roof done during busy rainy season, so picking a date was a challenge. The project itself went well. On the first day of the tear down, I was surprised how fast and efficient the team worked. By the end of the day, roofing materials were already delivered, damaged plywood replaced and underlayment installed. They finished the project exactly on time, as they said they would. Yelp you have done it again! I was in desperate need of a new roof, so as usual I turned to my favorite source of quality recommendations, Yelp. Investing in a new roof is no small matter. It's expensive and the workmanship quality is so important. As a result, I focused on Yelps trusted service providers. Immediately, I noticed that Reno's roofing had an excellent reputation. My experience was so fantastic. I want to share all of the details. First of all, this is the second time I've had to purchase a new roof in the last 10 years. I won't mention names, but the first time I went with one of the big box stores. I was not very satisfied with the entire experience. I will leave it at that. Reno's roofing has it down perfectly. The professionalism immediately stands out, they are organized, efficient, and every step of the way I felt as though I was in excellent hands. I'm talking about the initial phone interview, the gentleman who came out to do the quote, the workmen who performed the job and the steps in between on an administrative level. Specifically, the gentleman who came out to do the quote did the job so thoroughly I was immediately comforted. He spent a good amount of time on both my garage roof and my home roof to ensure that he covered all of the bases and that there were no surprises later on. Here is another observation. It is my opinion that this company has a good culture. I think you know what I'm talking about. One can tell when employees are disgruntled and not happy to be at work. Everyone I dealt with at Reno's roofing was so professional and happy. I overheard them talking to each other and laughing and enjoying their work, that says a lot to me. This review is long overdue. Reno's Roofing replaced my old roof back in October 2024 and they were EXCELLENT! I met with four companies for quotes about patching a suspected leak in my roof. Reno's was the one I had actually seen at work on another house in my neighborhood. Reno's was also one of only two of those four companies that did a thorough-enough inspection to determine my roof had more problems than the one leak I suspected, and informed me up-front that a) I need to replace the whole roof now (not patch it) and b) there would likely be additional costs for additional wood needed once they pulled up the old worn shingles and got a complete look at the roof. I greatly appreciated that honesty. Reno's was reasonably priced and Roger, who did my initial inspection, answered all my questions (and follow up questions) in a timely manner. Their team started the project (a complete re-roofing) on schedule and finished earlier than expected. They cleaned up their mess each day and took care of the inspections for me. The other roofing companies came out and told me that a repair was needed on my roof. In rare occasions, a company performs so well they are worthy of taking time out to write a review. Reno's Roofing is worth the time. We were the last house on our block to get a new roof. Ours made it 29 years but it wasn't going any further so we started down the path of referrals and quotes. I had posted our project on Yelp to help us find a roofer. Getting a new roof is scary. When you get a quote, the quote is for the new roof...NOT for the damaged decking under the old roof...how much will that cost...won't know until the old roof is off and the inspector can see it...that unknown is scary to me. So knowing what the cost per sheet or stick of lumber a roofer will charge for repairs is important in considering a roofer...and EVERY roofer is different!... We got 9 quotes...and with 9 quotes, you get 9 different personalities that you might have to deal with after signing on the dotted line. So as a customer you have gauge those personalities...are they going to listen to me and not patronize me?...are the going to do the job right?, are they going to try and cut corners?, are they going to try and milk me for all I'm worth?...more scary things to consider. After getting 9 quotes, I came to the conclusion that Reno's Roofing was the right choice...primarily because of Reno himself and his no BS approach. Communication is key , not with just Reno, but with his whole group. Tina from the main office, kept the lines of communication open as to what was happening and when. Kevin and Phil, on site, were more than willing to listen to a customer's concerns and explain how they would make sure the concerns would be dealt with. My biggest concern were the lines and finished edges, after seeing what had been done to all my neighbors' roofs by their roofers. On site all the guys had a happy demeanor and worked well together...no grumbly surly attitudes. Demo crew was super fast and super clean. They tarped off around the entire house but very little fell into those tarps. The roofing crew was obviously a crew that works together all the time. Each guy seemed to know what their task was and didn't stand around waiting for someone to tell them what to do. Once the 7AM fist bump was done and they got on the roof...it was GO time...and they did. With any job, the quality can only be truly appreciated after it's done. I've had multiple neighbors stop to ask who did my roof because they had been watching it go on and noticed, not just the quality of workmanship in the final product; but that the work site wasn't a loud, cacophony, of organized chaos like that of some of our other neighbor's roofing projects were. Now...was Reno the cheapest... honestly no...out of the 9 quotes, he was third cheapest...NOBODY could touch the cheapest quote...BUT the cheapest quote ghosted me when I asked him to make sure he included permits...so be careful of those cheap quotes. We had our house tented in July 2021 and the fumigation company workers broke about 60-70 clay tiles on our roof. I found 6 roofing companies on Yelp to call and schedule roof inspections and get estimates to replace the broken clay tiles. Four companies were scheduled but one company was a "no show" and two companies never returned my calls. Out of the three roof inspections that occurred we decided to select Reno Roofing for the following reasons: 1) responsiveness from Reno, the owner, who answered my initial & subsequent calls; 2) customer service from Tina, the office manager, who scheduled Gabriel the next day via text, provided the proposal and revised proposal via email, and answered my phone calls; 3) technical expertise from Gabriel who performed the initial inspection and answered all our questions about the broken clay tiles; and 4) the detail work and artistry of Gabriel in repairing the round turret where clay tiles needed to be custom cut. It took Gabriel and Angel two days to repair the all the broken clay tiles in August 2021. Overall, Reno Roofing gets 5 stars and we loved Gabriel and the work he did in repairing our broken clay tiles--especially on the round turret (see pictures). I gave then 5 star review when they promptly performed the repair work 3 years ago. I just noticed a week ago the ceiling was soggy and water damage reoccurred in the same room apparently from recent rain. Even though the leak occurred again in the same bed room only about 3 years past I had to deal with the out of warranty situation. It turned out that I was out of luck since Reno's offered only 2 year warranty. My experience with this business was quite disappointing due to the 3-year comeback of the leak in the same room and its minimal warranty. Reno was great to work with! Last week those gail-force winds knocked out shingles on one corner side of our roof. Last weekend the weather forecast showed that there was a chance of rain possibly this past Tuesday. My husband didn't want to leave it to chance of getting a leak in our roof so he researched Roof repair with 5 star ratings on Yelp. We wanted to have it fixed asap that Monday-on the day of! I called 5 roofers on the list, including Reno Roofing. There were several on the list that didn't answer so I left voicemail messages. Reno answered the phone and asked me to send a picture text of the affected area. Because I was able to do that, he was able to give me an estimate on the spot which was $880 (the total including parts and labor). I requested if they can repair it that day and they were able to after they were coming from another appointment. They said they can come at 4 pm which was fine since my husband and I were still at work. Since Reno was doing repair work, he had his two assistants do the job. Lo and behold they came early (at 2pm!) while we were out to lunch. They actually were able to fix the roof without us being there and assessed if there were other damaged areas. By the time we were done with lunch (at 2:30pm) they were finished! Holy Moly! That was fast! They sent us a picture text of the final product which was impressive since the new shingles meshed well with the rest of the roof. They waited patiently until my husband came home to inspect it. Later he emailed us the invoice and warranty. Ironically, it did not rain that Tuesday but we feel great knowing that our roof was repaired and was in good hands. All in all, I would highly recommend Reno's Roofing! I had several roofers come over and give me estimates for my main house and detached garage. I have a background in sales and would set up sales training for an international company. I know when someone is playing me. Some of the estimates I received were rip offs and high pressure with doomsday scenarios. I also did extensive research on what the job I needed entailed, the amount of square footage needed to cover both structures and how much it would cost. Reno came over, inspected the roof said it would take 2 days and said he would get back to me with a price after he did his measurements from his computer. He did not need to manually measure the roof right then because he had the capability to do it from his computer. Knowing software I was impressed. He was the only roofer who said he could do that. I waited for the estimate and it was accurate and fair. We signed the contract. He showed up the day we agreed and his crew did a fine job and it was done in one and half days. They cleaned up after they were done and left the area clean. Reno's assistant at his office, Tine, was very helpful and even registered my shingles warranty for me. Like many here, I came to Reno's Roofing because of the 5 star reviews. I hope you have a more honest experience than I had. If you're not diligent in learning about roofing and materials, and then supervising every step of their work, it's possible that you could be in for a "switcharoo" with cheaper materials and/or sloppy work. Of the many roofing companies that quoted me, all the legitimate* roofing companies' quotes hovered mid-$20,000 for my roof. (*valid licenses and insurances, materials from top companies like GAF, Owens Corning, Malarkey, etc.) Reno's Roofing estimate was $6,000-$10,000 less than all of them. Reno's also described premium materials and techniques that were meticulous, like the legitimate roofers similarly explained to me. I asked Gerry and Reno to see the materials and over months, there was great difficulty in getting to see the materials. In everything, Reno and the office was kept in the loop so Reno was aware of what was going on. As I got to see materials from Gerry finally, what Gerry delivered detracted from what they described in the contract. The materials they brought to my house were unbranded; it was not the high quality name brand stuff they wrote in my contract. I thanked him and asked if I may see the exact materials which would be installed on my roof. More back and forth communication occurred because they said they didn't have any sample materials to show me. (The materials were very standard, not special order materials.) Weeks later, Gerry delivered materials but what he delivered, while it was now the correct brand, was of a cheaper model within the brand. Without any ambiguity, I asked Gerry pointedly if this was the correct model of materials; in asking, I pointed out the name of the upper tier materials which my Reno's Roofing contract said I would get. This time, with complete confidence and no ambiguity, and after weeks of me specifying this model, Gerry confirmed that this was the correct model. It was not. The materials which they intended to install on my roof was the cheapest, bottom tier materials of that brand, not the upper tier stuff in our contract. These are professional roofers. They recognize these materials. This bald-faced lie to me was the last straw that allowed me to conclude what I had already suspected about these weeks of charades. They tried to get away with quoting me at upper tier materials and then installing cheaper materials, some of the same brand but of a more economic tier. Also, as the above was happening, I asked to see their proof of insurance; the insurance proof they showed me was expired. The workers' comp. insurance form I asked to see was also expired. When I pointed this out, they showed me an insurance proof form which looked like it was edited with editing software with the date changed to be valid, and most of the insurance legal language was missing from this form; this was shown to me without explanation. This was pretty weird to see. All together, I witnessed a lot of questionable stuff with Reno's Roofing which all came out from my asking simple questions. So, I do not trust Reno's Roofing, especially with a large, important investment such as this. I'm sure Reno's Roofing knows how to actually do every step correctly; unfortunately, I doubt they do so for all of their customers. I suspect the one star experiences here, with their reviews updated years after Reno's work, are customers who perhaps are experiencing the results of the above lies. From my experience, this is likely a part of how they are able to give you a surprisingly lower quote compared to other companies. Reno's Roofing might not do this to everyone but they certainly did to me and I caught it red handed over a number of interactions. Perhaps Reno's Roofing is used to explaining away any *one* of these oddities but to my thorough way of vetting, it is the totality of circumstances here that tells me the story in addition to Gerry and Reno just lying to my face when the proof, contrary to what they were trying to convince me of, was printed directly on the materials they delivered. If I were you, I would save up until you could afford a serious and consistently more honest roofing company. If Reno's Roofing's proposal is too good to be true, it just might be. If you decide to go with Reno's Roofing, consider not signing the contract until you get verifiable answers to these basic questions, consider seriously doing your homework on roofing materials and labor, and consider closely double checking the materials inventory and every step they take. read more

They are licensed employer with all compensation package for workers. They covered all broken tiles as they committed so I didn't need to pay extra. We used Reno Roofing in 2020 for our home in Burbank when we had a leak in the flat part of the roof. They came and were fast and efficient. Recently, we needed to replace the pitch of the house roof and garage. We received several quotes from Reno and other roofing companies, but Reno came in at the best quote. They showed up when they said they would and completed the job from start to finish within 5 days. We are very happy with the quality of materials and workmanship. Also, they were the only roofing company that showed us samples of materials and roofing color options.
