Then I met Aviv, the owner of Anytime Roofers / Costar Roofing, and he completely put my mind at ease. Aviv was honest, upfront, and transparent from day one. He showed me photos of my roof, explained everything, and even allowed me to go up on the roof myself to see the damage. And WOW... he was right! My roof was in terrible condition. I had three layers of roofing that were 35+ years old! No wonder my shingles were blowing all over the neighborhood every time we had heavy winds. The entire Costar team was fantastic. Wilson supervised the crew onsite and did an excellent job communicating with me. He explained what they were doing and why, and I never felt left in the dark. The workers showed up ready to work every day, and they cleaned up everything at the end of each day. I also LOVE my new roof vents! I can actually tell a difference, and surprisingly, my dryer works even better than it did before. I've had my go-to roofer for around a decade but after he started being extremely flakey with me…read moreafter Los Angeles had a few unexpected rainy bouts, I decided I needed to find a new roofing contact who was more reliable. I also needed one urgently because LA was due to very heavy rainfall (the most recent one that started right before Christmas and ended two days ago). I'm very particular whenever I search for a new vendor because I've met with literally hundreds of different contractors/vendors/trade specialists in my lifetime due to renovating multiple properties in different cities. My search strategy might be overkill for some but it pays off for me in the long run - Once a highly rated business has been identified, I cross reference the business using different platforms such as Yelp, Thumbtack, Google, Houzz and Angi. I then further drill down to see how long the business has been around, if they have any complaints with the BBB, and what the least satisfied comments look like. Anytime Roofing was one of a handful of companies I was interested in. I contacted them using Yelp's quote system and I called them as well. Aviv answered my call and told me he could have somebody inspect my roof as early as the next morning and told me he could start on repairs the same day if I agreed to his pricing. This was ideal since the rain was due to start the following afternoon. I also later noticed Aviv responded to me via the Yelp messaging system as well. At 7:30 am the next morning, Aviv's roofer came on time and inspected my concrete tiled roof. I was then contacted by Aviv and given a verbal estimate over the phone. After I agreed to the price, he immediately sent over a written estimate via email for me to review and sign. Half my payment was due before the work started and the other half would be due upon completion. There is a 4% credit card charge if you do not want to pay via cash/Zelle. I needed a minimum of 300 square feet of underlayment replaced and some new wood installed as some of my existing wood was damaged. This was also a rush job since heavy rain was going to start later that day. Aviv mentioned he felt more underlayment should be replaced as he saw extensive damage but told me this could be done later and there should be no leaks with this current repair. The work was completed in roughly 8 hours and there were no leaks to be found after 4 straight days of heavy rain. Aviv also followed up a day after the rain stopped to inquire how my roof held up to the storm which I felt was a nice touch. I highly recommend calling Aviv and Anytime Roofing for a quote whether it's an emergency repair or if you are collecting bids for larger underlayment projects. He may not be the absolute cheapest roofing business you can find but he responds promptly, his roofers are punctual, and the ease and quickness of the estimate process are things you don't typically find with other roofing companies. Reliability and consistency are important factors that I feel deserve a premium as well.

They came to do the roof inspection when we were purchasing a new home, and they found numerous issues with the shingle roof, roof deck, gutter, etc. They were all fixed by Capitol Roofing within a few short weeks of request and signing repair request. They delivered as promised, as well as a few other things my insurance inspector requested. I cannot be more happy with their work. Most homeowners under-appreciate how critical the roof's function is, it literally is a shield that protects all of your belongings from getting wet and grow mold. There is one closet that is damp and growing mold, this should have fixed the root cause!

We contacted a few roofing companies, but most were not willing to physically come to our home to look at the leak and give us an estimate. Hexagon was the first company that came out, and Jared showed up promptly, equipped with a ladder and a drone. He spent some time on the roof, took pictures, and walked us through what was going on. As first time home owners, we really appreciated that Jared was willing to take his time and talk us through everything. The issue was felt paper underlayment which was basically crumbling at this point, and the plywood beneath the roofing shingles was exposed and rotting. Jared gave us a few options, gave us a few quotes for those options, and encouraged us to get other quotes before making our decision. Ultimately, we went with Jared and Hexagon because we felt that their price was fair, and they give you a 50 year warrantee for the materials and a 10 year warrantee on the labor, and we appreciated the time and care Jared took with us during our initial inspection. Scheduling the job was a little stop and start, but once we got a time on the books, Jared and his team showed up, and replaced an entire section of our roof in one day. They even went out and got paint to match our house trim so that everything looked perfect, and they installed attic vents (which our attic DESPERATELY needed), that weren't even part of the initial quote. Jared's team took pictures of their work along the way, and while I wish the roofers had been a bit more communicative with us throughout the process (which we told Jared when he came to close out the job), their work was excellent. And the quote was accurate, no extra charges or hidden fees. What's more, we had a small issue with one of our front porch tiles getting cracked in the process of debris coming off the roof, and Jared went above and beyond to make sure the tile was replaced before he would accept final payment for the job. We're planning to have Hexagon and Jared come back to do another section of our roof that's not currently leaking, but has the same felt underlayment. I truly couldn't be happier with the work and customer service, and can't recommend Hexagon highly enough.
