I was debating it and then decided I wanted to do it and then the guy ghosted me as some of the reviews elude to. I gave them every opportunity to prove me wrong and the reviews wrong. Couldn't be happier. I'm selling my house, and buyers wanted a lot of minor repairs on the roof before moving forward with the purchase. Allen left me hanging on this job. He told me that he had to special order and have a special custom chimney cap done prior to coming to location. It would cost $500 and up but in reality that is not what he did. They cut the the sheet metal on site because I saw them working it -There was not custom fabrication whatsoever to spec like he mentioned. The tile work was missing on the corner of the house as seen in the picture and I asked Allen to please put it back on. Even his father who worked the job told me that I should put the tile on after they repaired the wood because it would look nice and I agreed to what he said. When I called Allen and told him that they forgot to put the tile back on - he completely gave me a bunch of crap like this was a very expensive repair and the tile is not supposed to be going there anyways. To start off I paid for the job in full and was told by his father that Allen would contact me and provide me with a receipt. I paid cash for the job and once he got his money - he disappeared. I repeatedly asked for my receipt and he would tell me that he would call me back in 5 mins and he never did. I must have called him around a dozen times over a period of two weeks and and he just played games with me - telling me he would call me back. He never did. Do not part with your money and make sure you walk the entire job afterwards and if he has to come back the next day to get his money then so be it. Make sure you get receipt or no money. read more

These roofers are terrible!! Our townhouse complex HOA uses them and after a job last Summer they left a leak that grew mold over the rainy season and has kept us out of my daughter's room for MONTHS. So they fix the roof AGAIN after the mold company detected water in the walls, and a few weeks go by. When the mold guys come back to do the removal, they open the wall and find water in there AGAIN after the second job. So the complex sends Cabrera for a THIRD TIME to patch the leaks while the mold is removed. We were about to close up the walls and finally get the room back for my daughter, when I had a feeling we needed to check just in case. Remember, at this point Cabrera has done the roof THREE times in a couple months. The complex maintenance crew turns a hose on the roof and this time the wall is open. We go inside to look and BAM it rains all over us INSIDE THE HOUSE because the roof is STILL not water proof. We now can't close up the wall and are DEMANDING the HOA management get new roofers. Total fail! F-minus! Hire Cabrera at your own risk, we will never let them get on our roof again!! read more

Do not rely on Alan Cabrera. On 9/29/23 I accepted his estimate for a small project. He eventually agreed to schedule the work for 10/19/23. The day before that I called, texted and emailed to confirm the next day's work. No reply. When he did not appear on 10/19/23 I again called, texted and emailed to determine the status of the project. Again no reply. I have to assume he has decided against doing the project. I cannot rate the quality of his work because he did not do any but clearly his customer service is terrible. read more

We had a leak that we suspected was coming down the roof from our chimney to the window at the bottom of the roof. We left a message Wednesday night and they got back to us early Thursday. They came out right away to give us a free estimate. They showed me the problem (let me come up the ladder and took pictures). They had extra tile, tar, flashing, underlayment .... With them. Since it was a small job (6'x12' tile roof), they stayed and fixed it. I watched how they fixed it and felt they did a great job. A few hours later we had a crazy rainstorm (at least by SoCal standards) and so far no leak. I'm bad with names, but the son is the owner and the person I called. His dad and another co-worker were the ones who fixed it. They even texted back today to see how the repair held up. As far as price, it was very reasonable (lower than most, some roofers even required a $2500 minimum which is baloney!). Speed, Quality, and Reasonable Price. I noticed there was an unusual water flow from the rainfall by the side of the house. I touched the inside wall and carpet noticed a dampness. So I submitted a roofing contractor request through Angi. I received few responses, one of them was from Alan. Mentioned the issue on the phone and requested a free estimate. i had to rush to get the problem handled since I knew it would rain the following days. He sent his father who works for the company to come over. He showed up with an assistant. Took a look on the roof where the problem was, found the issue, gave me an estimate, I showed him another part of the roof that a tile was missing and asked him to include it in the total work and he agreed. He worked on it for about two hours and he was done! As simple as that. Alan emailed me the repair invoice and receipt. Then I started getting text messages and phone calls from few other contractors that couldn't even look at the roof for at least few days later which would have been a disaster due to the rainfall and leaking in the ceiling inside. Very good man worked quickly and honesty and got the job done. I like to deal with contractors like this that there is no complicated process of going through hoops to do the job and this company is just that. Simple honest work and reasonable. They came out to patch a hole in my garage roof. It had been leaking for years. I was just patching it with flex seal but it was getting worse.. Finally got quotes to get it really fixed. This company had the lowest price. I went with them - they patched the hole in my garage and also an overhang on the side of my house. They even did some other minor roof leak repairs within the same price. Both the garage roof and overhang were done within the budget, within hours, and I waited until the first rain in Los Angeles to give them a rating and everything is bone dry. Alan redid my roof 1.5 years ago. He did a terrible job cleaning up there were nails in my lawn and driveway for weeks. They also skinned my garage and let all the nails and debris fall over my car and storage. The main roof started leaking in the exact same spot he supposedly fixed. After many unanswered text and phone calls he finally sent a new guy out to glue the metal flashing they installed. After the damage to my interior drywall. He blamed it on cracks on the chimney. I would give them A++ We surprisingly had a leak caused by two rainstorms. We decided to get a new roof after getting an immediate temporary fix bevor the next rain. We had several bids - some of them crazy expensive, another company had not only the highest bid but had aggressive sales people who were pushing for more and more extras that "had" to be done. We ended up with Cabrera Roofing, not only because of their excellent estimate, but for meeting with the owner Alan who is not only a super professional but also great at communicating what has to be done and how everything will work out. He and his people temporarily covered the roof with a huge tarp for the next rain and started right after the rain. They did such an amazing job, working extremely detail oriented, fast, thorough, and were cleaning up every day. They did a superb job and even the inspector felt he had to point that out. After a week everything was done perfectly and they even fixed the damage in the attic and fixed the water damaged ceiling in the living room.
