Great beer selection. Below average expensive food. Ok, really below average. Better to drink the expensive beer ($9.50) and pass on the food. they also have some really good music on Tuesday through Fridays, right around dinner time. Seriously talented. read more

Decent service. Bluegrass band was playing so huge bonus for my 3 hour delay. Pork nachos was a little dry and not enough fixings. $9.00 loon juice yuck. Not on map yet. read more

My only disappointment is that I hadn't found this place sooner! I read a review on their variety of craft brews, so that drew me in. Once arriving I realized it was a selection of brews in the area I'm quite familiar with (but if you're from out of town I definitely recommend trying some). I ended up ordering their steak salad(medium) and OH MY GOSH, from presentation to quality to flavor- I was so surprised to have such a fresh and flavorful salad in the midst of a Minnesota winter. Typical airport pricing but so worth it! Bartender was very kind as well, and offered great suggestions! read more

I've been here a couple of times and it was decent for airport pub food. Flying out of the the D concourse so thought I would try again. Had the CBLT (chickenBLT) and really enjoyed it with the housemate chips. It did get busy so the refills of beverages that I experienced in the past didn't happen but it probably was a good thing since I am getting in a flight ;) read more

A $16 Bloody Mary? I get inflated airport pricing but average drink for very above average price. Bartender was very focused on no one with a McDonalds bag touching their counter. Unfriendly, overpriced read more

Had a long layover at MSP on 7/3 and stopped here for a beer. Had a couple Surly ipas and the chips and guacamole. Food and drinks were tasty. Our bartender, Isaac, was great!! The place was clearly slammed, and he didn't miss a beat or get frustrated. I would recommend for the service and the beer selection! read more

Terrible service. Server could care less. Had to get my own silverware. Check came immediately after food arrived, no follow up on drinks. The waitress appeared to be clueless. Maybe she was new. Food was nothing special. Mixed drink was lacking. Not recommended. read more

Crappy bartender - not a great selection of food - over-priced, but a good location. I think they try to cover up all the negatives with live music! read more

I probably will not come here again with all the different choices in the airport. The burger I had tasted like freezer burnt hospital food. Fast food would have been better. I never had my drink refilled at all by the waiter. It was not even busy. This is a sit down restaurant so it was not cheap. read more

Stopped on a whim and long layover. This is now my fav airport restaurant...anywhere!!! Seriously, and I travel at least once a month for work. Breakfast is to die for...huevos rancheros are second to none, esp the pork in them. OMG. Heaven. Even TX snobs (like I used to be) will flip. The vibe is super open, chill, and low stress. You will forget you are in an airport! Live music soon and the jams they play otherwise are current and 2000s hits. Caught myself jamming out a few times :) They have been open only 1 week, so ironing out a few kinks but superb place for food, service (thanks Katie!!), and great music.i read more

Currently sitting here and evidently I forgot to take off my cloak of invisibility today. I ordered a burger, which was dry and terribly seasoned and a beer. I finished those items over 25 minutes ago and since the items were dropped off no one has even checked in on me or offered another beer or my check. I've tried to grab the attention of the staff yet to no avail. 0/10 chance I'll return. wish I could do 0 stars read more

This place is pretty chill. Has a nice large bar to tuck in at. I didn't have a problem with the service. Greg was very nice and took care of me. My beer was a half empty and he asked if I want another one, YUP. Had the turkey club. It wasn't bad. A little greasy but whatever. It wasn't anything to rave about but typical airport food. Beer at kinda expensive, like 9 dollars. Some people on here complained the prices weren't on the menu.... they are on the food menu but not the drink menu. Overall, it's a place to grab a beer. Not amazing, not cheap, but it's what you expect from an airport. read more

Can you please put prices on your drink menu? I don't really want to sit here and ask every single price on all of your options. Just make my life easier, not more complicated. Plus your bartender is busy and doesn't need to be wasting his time doing this read more

Awful service, awful food. The place was filthy. I waited 20 minutes to be greeted and more than that to be cashed out. They were not even busy, read more

All I can say positive is the beer was cold. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger with chips. It came with red onion on the burger and three mini dill pickles on the plate. No mayo, no lettuce, no tomato and the bacon was nothing special. Basically a no frills dried out - frozen patty. My suggestion buy burgers from McDonald's. You'll save money and enjoy a higher quality product. . read more

Food was ok, but service was terribly rude. Would not let us order breakfast items even though it was before breakfast closed if someone was ordering a lunch item. Menu is misleading on prices. Not impressed and won't be back. Especially if their waitress continue to have the attitude she does... read more

Just absolutely awful service. Waitress annoyed we asked for service after sitting for 10 min. 10 min later, we politely asked that she clear items from previous diner and got an exasperated sigh and complaints about how busy they were. Had to ask manager for silverware and napkins. Food was decent, but nothing spectacular. Will not be back when I fly through MSP next week. read more

Friendly service and local brews but the burger didn't hold a candle to those you might find at Chili's or Chili's Too. Live music from 4:30 -7:30pm. read more

I had a layover at a gate near the restaurant...I walked up to the restaurant and I sat myself as per the sign "seat yourself sign". I sat down and was never attended to, not one of the 2 waiters on the floor acknowledged me. When I asked for attendance I was met with an attitude and the waiter told me that he wasn't my waiter but would tell my waiter. Then he told me that they were busy and couldn't get around to attending to me. HELLO IF ONE OF THE 2 BUSY WAITERS HAD ACKNOWLEDGED ME I WOULD NOT BE WRITING THIS REVIEW. Sometime ignoring a customer can make them tell the world about it as well as eat somewhere else. I ended up at VINO VOLO had a great glass of wine an perfect service! Skip this place if you have time!! read more

My turkey burger was fine, sure. But the bloody mary was $14 and was 12oz. It was fine, but nothing to write home about. They didn't write prices on the menu, which was outrageous. Turkey burger had nearly no guac and was dry. Waiter made a fuss when we tried to split checks. I would suggest avoiding. $14 for a bloody is significantly more than what I spend in New York. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. Might I suggest McDonald's? read more

Actually pretty impressed by this place! Food was decent priced most under $12 which is great for the airport! Has a BLT with egg - very fresh and would order again. Had the side salad which I would pass on . Took off one star because my glass of wine was$20!!! The bartender couldn't find the wine list so I said glass of white and it was$20 yikes! read more

I sat down at a dirty table. 20 minutes later no one has come by to talk to me or clean the table. Went to the bar to at least fret a drink. No eye contact nothing. Service is crap and that's all I can say. read more

The worst service ever. Dirty tables never cleaned. Food served with no utensils. 1/2 to get a drink and burger reminded me of lunch room food in 7th grade. A disgrace. Really read more

Very low effort. Shame, because food and drink menu looks very good on paper, but it is abundantly clear no one here gives the tiniest amount of a s***. Dirty tables piled with dishes, reheated dry foods, inattentive apathetic service. Extremely depressing. read more

Overpriced because it's in the airport. Service was extremely slow. Ordered chips and guacamole but the chips were stale. Silverware looked like it hadn't been washed. Would not recommend eating here. Save your money. read more

Republic - Pubs Near Me - Saint Paul, Minnesota

Here prior to a flight back home to Portland, OR. Republic got written up well in a local MSP paper but I saw it had been getting negative reviews over the last few months. I tried it regardless and am glad I did. I had the chicken salad and thought it was one of the best I had had in a while. Fresh ingredients, tasty, and I forgot to ask for the dressing on the side and they did it anyway. Service was prompt and friendly. I also liked the view of the airplanes arriving and departing through the large window at the back of the restaurant. The only reason I'm giving it four stars, not five, is the beer glasses were smaller relative to the price ($9)Granted I live in a beer obsessed city but it felt like penny pinching to me. Otherwise excellent. read more

We came for brunch and had a tough time getting service. The drinks and food are just ok. The live music was cool the other night and they have a lot of tap beers but don't be in a hurry. read more

Myself and 3 co workers sat at the table for a good 15 minutes without water or a server, and then got up to request a waitress. The food was fine, nothing phenomenal but I would have liked to see quicker service to minimize rush eating to make our flights. read more

Decent food. Good selection of beer (and a local cider) on tap. I have been here a few times, but only ever sat at the bar. The bartenders have always been attentive and courteous but not pushy. Nice place to hang out during a layover. Drinks are a bit pricey, but not bad for an airport. read more

The ketchup was spoiled, the food was greasy and nothing special, they charged extra for absolutely anything/everything and taco shell was pitiful on the fish tacos. Don't bother. read more

Terrible service! It took 20 minutes for our server to greet us and she never told us her name. We waited 10 minutes for our beverages and our still waiting for our food (ordered 20 minutes ago). Terrible!!!! read more

Nice interior. Food is ok. Friendly staff. Took off stars because the live music was terrible... the singer had a winey voice that sounded like a mix of moaning and shrieking. Not at all relaxing when you're stuck on a layover and just want to get to your destination. I left the restaurant because I couldn't stand the sound of her voice anymore. read more

Horrible Will not survive. Walked after 20 minutes waiting on a salad. Paid my wine of $9 with no tip AND I NEVER LEAVE No Tip. Travel all the time and know the difference. So bad in so many ways. Felt sorry for the several others that voiced their dissatisfaction with service. Bar tenders was losing revenue for the bar and revenue for himself. Travelers be warned. It's a def NO. read more

Music was great! Beer selections are fair. I had the pork tacos and they were soggy and fell apart completely as I took them out of the taco holder. I am not sure if it was just the grease or whether they were made in advance and left to sit, but the corn shells were soaking and fell apart completely. Sad! read more

Great area, fast service, and great wine. I had the Maso Canali Pinot Grigio and it was great! Also had the chicken salad which was great and juicy. Portions are big but still finished it all myself. read more

Gross food, the burger tasted like a thawed pre-made patty. The waiter messed up my order twice. Never got a refill on my water, and the brownie tasted like a generic grocery store frosted brownie with nuts. Crappy drink selection. read more

Only went for beer. $8 for a bud light type of place. Only one bartender and she was slow and seemed out of it for a not overwhelming amount of people. Spent $8.50 on a nationally available IPA and it was served in a Belgian glass, not a pint. Place is a rip off for beer. Dive bars usually have better service than here. read more

The service is non existent. It took 40 minutes for their omelette and French toast. Then, my fork was covered in dried egg from whoever used it last and don't even hope for a refill of coffee or that anyone checks in on you. I ate my entire meal with my knife due to the dirty fork and zero service. read more

Set your expectations low that this is, after all, airport food. The service is a bit slow, there only seemed to be one person working all of the tables in the place. My colleagues ordered the grilled chicken salad, while it looked appealing when it arrived they commented that the chicken was def not fresh, tasted like it was pre cooked and then microwaved. I had the Turkey club, which tasted fine but was hastily assembled and about half the size of what you would expect for a $12 sandwich. The homemade chips were very good though so it wasn't all bad. If this were a real restaurant not in an airport terminal I'd give it one maybe one star but since it isn't I gave it a bump. Again not terrible but you could probably find something better. Anyone who rated this place 5 stars def needs to get out more. read more
