Me and a pile of friends came to this restaurant and had the BEST experience. We ordered 4 different mental pizzas and several sides. They have many unique pizza flavors and they were all fantastic! Don't sleep on the sides they're mind blowing. GET THE FRY BREAD!! the service was excellent. We were able to meet the owners and they're the so kind and down to earth. It seems like they put their heart into this restaurant. The interior was dialed. Plenty of space to sit a big party. ANDDD if that wasn't enough the bathroom was spotless. I'll be back anytime I'm in Spokane!

We're really not fans of the Flying Goat on NW Boulevard but decided to try here, their sister pub, on 29th & Grand anyway. We had a flight of regional beers and a blackberry cider. The cider was great as were several of the beers. We ordered the Community Board appetizer, which was very good. Prosciutto, soppressata, coppa, smoked mozzarella, provolone, bleu cheese, grilled crostini, unpitted olive, seasonal fruit, chutney. The grilled crostini was so good, but it would be even better if they drizzled a little EVOO over the plate. It was a meal in itself. My husband also had a cup of the Guiness stew, a favorite of his. It was full flavored with just a touch of heat, served with an herbed piece of focaccia. Service was friendly and not rushed at all. We usually would have sat outside on the patio but it was still 95' so the cool bar was perfect.

A small part of the whole restaurant. Very different than I expected

So I'll have to try Republic Pi again: our pizza wasn't my favorite, but they have so many artisan pizzas that I am sure to find a really good one. The service was very personable and easy going. Different places to sit, depending on what you want: sports bar, adult high top, and regular tables. Generally a fun place. They really have some interesting pizzas, and I look forward to trying them. The brussel sprouts were really good: tangy, crispy, and tender.

Food: 4/5. Very good!! Nobody complains about 4/5 pizza. Gluten free crust is delicious too! The District and South Hill pizzas are very very good!! The edamame is addicting and only $7 on Happy Hour. Brussels sprouts appetizer is tasty too. Drinks: Good selection of beer and wine. Cocktails are pretty good! The blackberry sour is very sweet, but a fun treat! Aperol spritzes are perfect. Overall: Super cute inside! A bar area for 21 and up. There are TVs around but not everywhere so definitely let them know if you want to watch a game. Parking is decent.... There's a big lot but there's lots of businesses. Service is attentive and friendly. Tuesdays: $5 off pizza! Definitely a good deal. I don't know that I'd go again not on a Tuesday during happy hour.

Stopped here for a spontaneous lunch and I'm so glad we did. We shared the Cobb salad and Wilson pizza. The salad was packed full of fresh ingredients and the house made Gorgonzola dressing was soo good! The pizza had smoked chicken, thinly sliced Yukon gold potatoes, green onions, and roasted garlic. I love Republic's garlic cream sauce base. Also enjoyed was a flight of local beers. Service was fast and friendly!

I genuinely don't know what parallel universe one of the last reviewers is coming from, but my…read moreexperience here has been the exact opposite. First of all, slow service? Every time I've been in, the staff has been warm, attentive, and somehow manages to make you feel like you matter without hovering. This place gives "the place you go where everybody knows your name," not "exclusive secret society," but okay. As for the food allegedly being "frozen junk"... I would LOVE to know what freezer is producing meals this fresh and this good because I'd like one installed in my kitchen immediately. I just found out they make their own cheese. Everything I've had has been thoughtful, flavorful, and clearly made by people who actually care. I have quite literally planned my day around my dinner tonight. Zero regrets. Also, moldy fruit? Stale buns? Be serious. If anything, I've had the opposite problem of trying to pace myself because everything tastes like it came out five minutes ago. What actually stands out about Remedy is the atmosphere. It feels like somewhere you want to linger. It's one of those rare spots that still feels human, not corporate, and that's probably why people keep coming back. Anyway, if this place is secretly a "private social club," then I guess I'm honored to have accidentally earned membership through the radical act of enjoying good food and kind service. 10/10. Will continue to return, bask, and eat my weight in food. Sorry to be snarky, but I have a real problem with people that nitpick and leave exaggerated reviews just to be that person. Your idea of a hangout must be dental office. This place is an absolute gem.

There was only one server upstairs, he was nice but a bit overwhelmed because he had to be running up and down, so he was managing 4-5 tables alone, so everything took a bit longer, but he was pleasent and we weren't missing anything. I was mostly underwhelmed by the food. I think, I just thought it would be better. The chili verde is one of the most expensive things on the menu and was kinda mid. Just really not much flavor, and the rice was overcooked by about a million. I really wished I had picked something else. We also had the wings and they were also kinda just ok. I guess I just expected it to be a bit better when you look at the menu. I had higher hopes for a nice place on Southhill, but the food and cocktails kind of let it down. Excellent location and nice servers and staff though doing the best they can.

Every contact I've had with Grain Shed employees has been more than pleasant; they truly seem to enjoy working there, and take good care of their customers. I need to shout out to Toby and Audrey before I go on. They each provided 110% on customer service, being personable and making sure we left happy. On 2 separate trips to Spokane, I've visited the Grain Shed 3 and 4 times over the course of 3 days (yes, if you do the math, I went twice in 1 day, and the restaurant was NOT just around the corner!) Everything I've tried is delish, but in case you have to limit yourself, I highly recommend the OG, the beets and feta toast, the bread flight with sauces and cheese, the molasses ginger cookie, and maybe a chocolate croissant. I've heard their bread pudding and pumpkin pie (holiday special) are out of this world! I tried to get over to listen to their live music before leaving town, but still need to squeeze that into my schedule. Travelers: save space in your luggage for a loaf of bread. Sadly, no shipping at this time, but I'm waiting for it! This SoCal resident is officially The Grain Shed's #1 fan. I dare any of you to try to take away my title!

The Grain Shed does a farm to table model and is a bakery and brewery. I got a snack here along with a beer and left quite satisfied. I got a Grilled Cheese Sandwich on some of their house made bread with some Cheddar, Swiss and Provolone cheese. The exact name for this sandwich is the Cheesy Toastie. And of course moving on to the beer... the primary motivator to come here. I got the Kölsch beer here called Field Trip. I do love a good Kölsch as they are nice, light bodied beers. And they are especially nice in the summertime. Flavor features in this beer is maltiness, breadiness, a bit of hoppiness and a dry finish. Another beer that Steve and I tried was the INWPA which was a Pale Ale. It was also a nice light bodied beer which again hit the spot despite it being a different drinking session. Flavor characteristics in this beer is citrus, a yeastiness, hoppiness and a biscuity trait. Good beers and sandwiches and we are aiming for a return whenever we are in Spokane again.

Honestly, Wooden City really lives up to its hype. It's an upscale spot right in downtown Spokane,…read morebut still feels warm and lively instead of overly formal. Definitely one of the best-quality restaurants in the city, where every dish was thoughtfully made and packed with flavor. What we ordered: Starters: - Spring Salad: Super fresh and well-balanced. The snap peas were crisp, with strawberries added for sweetness, and the goat cheese + pistachios gave it a creamy, nutty contrast. The lemon & tarragon vinaigrette tied everything together with a light, herby flavor. - Jerk Cauliflower: Crunchy cauliflower with Caribbean spices with a creamy jerk sauce, good as a side Appetizers: - Peel 'n' Eat Shrimp: Really juicy and spicy from the Cajun spice. There's butter to dip in but I found it too greasy and prefer lemon instead. - Blistered Hungarian Peppers: Smoky pepper with some sweetness and savory from the sausage and cheddar. Served with a toasted focaccia that soak up all the sauce. Main dishes: - Chicken Schnitzel: One of the must-orders. Crispy, golden breading, super tender inside. The lemon & caper butter sauce added acidity and richness that elevated the whole dish. Yoy have to order extra because it's never enough for the table. Yes, it's that good. - Marbled Duroc Pork Chop: Another favorite . Juicy and tender, with 'nduja salsa brava bringing a spicy depth, while lemon tahini and marcona almonds added creaminess and crunch. I always missed tasting this dish like my first time - Beet Ravioli: Earthy and slightly sweet flavor, nice texture but I hate goat cheese so I'm not really a fan of this dish - Pesto Bacon Pizza: Delicious crunch, loved the combo of mozzarella and gorgonzola, kind of creamy with a bit of funk. Balsamic do help balance and gave it a sweet tangy flavor, or else it would be too heavy for me (yes, not a pizza fan) Drinks & Dessert - Not Mai Tai mocktail: very aesthetically looking drink, but a bit too sweet to my liking - Apple crisp: cozy and warm, with baked apple & pecan crumble and served with vanilla ice cream on top. Delicious ice cream. - Pumpkin cheesecake: My 3rd favorite of the night, I still dream about it!! Rich, smooth, and perfectly spiced, you shouldn't skip this!!! That said, I do have to take away a couple points for timing. Our foods took 45 mins to come out even though I had reservations and note the menu items via the email, and the wait time between each dish was also... very confusing. It broke the flow of our meal. But once the food hit the table, it was hard to stay mad, so I forgave them.

I feel like I just went to a dress rehearsal about a play about a group of friends who got together…read moreand said "How about we open a restaurant? That would be fun!" Tonight was just so strange. First, I had no idea who was an employee. There were two girls that were going around together over and over, they kept stopping at tables so I think they worked there...but they never had anything in their hands. Our server seemed to keep forgetting we were there. Or just forgetting she was employed in general. Seriously just not with it. She was very nice...when she remembered we were there. I will say the pizza crust tasted amazing. So many places that serve pizza think of the crust as just something to put toppings on, but this had great flavor. Sadly, it was rolled too thin and said toppings made it somewhat soggy. Caesar salad was ok. Romaine was really fresh and crisp and the homemade croutons were still a little warm. Very good. However, the dressing was rather bland. And when I asked for pepper for it, our waitress first had it in her head that I expected some kind of peppers on my salad. When she finally understood I meant black pepper, she went away. Eventually she returned. Not with a pepper grinder or a shaker, but a sauce bowl that had about 3 tablespoons of black pepper in it. I wouldn't use that much pepper if I cooked for myself for a week and used it with every dish. Had to ask for knives for some of people's meals. I will say the spicy lamb rigatoni was amazing, pasta just right and the sauce and flavor was peak. I am just not sure what to say, other than this was the strangest and most disorganized dining experience I have ever had. I think if a grown up showed up and brought the kids into line, this place would be amazing. Also, for what we paid, I expected to be wowed, not left wondering what I just experienced.
