Went out with some friends and kids Kids got chicken tenders with fries. We got pizza and brussels sprouts and a salad. Great serve was great food.

    Community Board - yum!

We're really not fans of the Flying Goat on NW Boulevard but decided to try here, their sister pub, on 29th & Grand anyway. We had a flight of regional beers and a blackberry cider. The cider was great as were several of the beers. We ordered the Community Board appetizer, which was very good. Prosciutto, soppressata, coppa, smoked mozzarella, provolone, bleu cheese, grilled crostini, unpitted olive, seasonal fruit, chutney. The grilled crostini was so good, but it would be even better if they drizzled a little EVOO over the plate. It was a meal in itself. My husband also had a cup of the Guiness stew, a favorite of his. It was full flavored with just a touch of heat, served with an herbed piece of focaccia. Service was friendly and not rushed at all. We usually would have sat outside on the patio but it was still 95' so the cool bar was perfect.

A small part of the whole restaurant. Very different than I expected

So I'll have to try Republic Pi again: our pizza wasn't my favorite, but they have so many artisan pizzas that I am sure to find a really good one. The service was very personable and easy going. Different places to sit, depending on what you want: sports bar, adult high top, and regular tables. Generally a fun place. They really have some interesting pizzas, and I look forward to trying them. The brussel sprouts were really good: tangy, crispy, and tender.

    Cool atmosphere behind our table

On our way out of Spokane my family and I grabbed lunch at Republic Pi after searching on Yelp. We had the charming Jessika serving us who was nice and helpful and checked up on us often. We had a variety of things including two of The Prudence pizzas, a 30th off Grand, and a South Hill pizza. We also had the Hangman Wings (naked) and a Qualchen Caesar Salasd and a Hatch Pickled Egg! Everyone loved their food and we really appreciated the large variety of choices offered. Thanks Republic Pi for a great visit!

Every time I've been in, the staff has been warm, attentive, and somehow manages to make you feel like you matter without hovering. This place gives "the place you go where everybody knows your name," not "exclusive secret society," but okay. As for the food allegedly being "frozen junk"... I would LOVE to know what freezer is producing meals this fresh and this good because I'd like one installed in my kitchen immediately. I just found out they make their own cheese. Everything I've had has been thoughtful, flavorful, and clearly made by people who actually care. I have quite literally planned my day around my dinner tonight. Zero regrets. Also, moldy fruit? Stale buns? Be serious. If anything, I've had the opposite problem of trying to pace myself because everything tastes like it came out five minutes ago. What actually stands out about Remedy is the atmosphere. It feels like somewhere you want to linger. It's one of those rare spots that still feels human, not corporate, and that's probably why people keep coming back. Anyway, if this place is secretly a "private social club," then I guess I'm honored to have accidentally earned membership through the radical act of enjoying good food and kind service. 10/10. Will continue to return, bask, and eat my weight in food. Sorry to be snarky, but I have a real problem with people that nitpick and leave exaggerated reviews just to be that person. Your idea of a hangout must be dental office. This place is an absolute gem.

Every contact I've had with Grain Shed employees has been more than pleasant; they truly seem to enjoy working there, and take good care of their customers. I need to shout out to Toby and Audrey before I go on. They each provided 110% on customer service, being personable and making sure we left happy. On 2 separate trips to Spokane, I've visited the Grain Shed 3 and 4 times over the course of 3 days (yes, if you do the math, I went twice in 1 day, and the restaurant was NOT just around the corner!) Everything I've tried is delish, but in case you have to limit yourself, I highly recommend the OG, the beets and feta toast, the bread flight with sauces and cheese, the molasses ginger cookie, and maybe a chocolate croissant. I've heard their bread pudding and pumpkin pie (holiday special) are out of this world! I tried to get over to listen to their live music before leaving town, but still need to squeeze that into my schedule. Travelers: save space in your luggage for a loaf of bread. Sadly, no shipping at this time, but I'm waiting for it! This SoCal resident is officially The Grain Shed's #1 fan. I dare any of you to try to take away my title!

The Grain Shed does a farm to table model and is a bakery and brewery. I got a snack here along with a beer and left quite satisfied. I got a Grilled Cheese Sandwich on some of their house made bread with some Cheddar, Swiss and Provolone cheese. The exact name for this sandwich is the Cheesy Toastie. And of course moving on to the beer... the primary motivator to come here. I got the Kölsch beer here called Field Trip. I do love a good Kölsch as they are nice, light bodied beers. And they are especially nice in the summertime. Flavor features in this beer is maltiness, breadiness, a bit of hoppiness and a dry finish. Another beer that Steve and I tried was the INWPA which was a Pale Ale. It was also a nice light bodied beer which again hit the spot despite it being a different drinking session. Flavor characteristics in this beer is citrus, a yeastiness, hoppiness and a biscuity trait. Good beers and sandwiches and we are aiming for a return whenever we are in Spokane again.

The food was amazing. I would've been truly happy with the appetizers and the drinks alone (a restaurant should be considered amazing when all you want to do is eat all the appetizers on the menu). I knew this was going to be an amazing restaurant when I told the host the name on the reservation and someone snuck in and taken our table. So the starters were amazing, the drinks were wonderful, the people at the table next to us raved about the schnitzel. That was the only thing they would eat on the menu, but I looked over and they were tucking into a piece or two of their friend's pizza. My only regret well at least two is that I don't live close enough to go back there and finish eating all the appetizers as well as having a chance to try the desserts. This is a place that truly deserves recognition for the ambience the drinks, the starters and the main dishes. Get a reservation... Have drinks, starters a couple main course dishes and let me know how the desserts are. Hopefully, I'll be sitting at a table next to you sharing how much I love this meal.

First off, I was looking for an authentic Napoli style pizza. Like a fresh red sauce from crushed tomatoes and a beautiful chewy, pillowy, yet charred crust. The verdict: Wooden City is the winner! The crust is really really good! The sauce is a bright beautiful tomato sauce that looks like crushed tomatoes however, the sauce was lacking flavor:( I would give this pizza a 3 out of 5. The crust is a 4 1/2 star but the sauce lacking in flavor..brought it down to a 3. Cute place, very pleasant friendly staff..way friendlier vibe than Barrelhouse. The boys are easy on the eyes for younger girls on the hunt! Lmao Don't bother with the Margherita pizza at Barrelhouse. Thank God I only paid $12 for the Margherita Monday deal of half off! The crust was horrible! Dominos has better crust! Costco pizza's had a better crust! The sauce has flavor, very garlicky like fresh garlicky but more of a paste with a load of oregano in it. The cheese didn't have that fresh taste I was hoping for. However, they are known for their Detroit pizza's which I haven't tried but if it's the same sauce, I would pass. Not saying it's bad but it's just not MY cup of tea whether it's for a Detroit style or any pizza. Now you don't have to guess which place has a better Margherita pizza. I wouldn't even pay $12 at Barrelhouse for a marg. Would I come back, yes, if I were in my 20's.. lol but since I'm older and the food is more important to me...no...:/ But hey, maybe their other pizza's are better! I can see a salty pepperoni being good!

We came at a busier time and had to sit at the bar, but one of the waitresses offered to move our seats to a different table after a different party had left; she brought our utensils to us and was very enthusiastic! The food was also great, I got the bacon and pea orecchiette, and my friend got the Chicken Diablo. Both were served with a slice of rosemary bread that was a great vessel for any leftover sauce. I loved the food, the sauces were creamy and it tasted so comforting.
