Absolute favorite pizza place in Spokane. We tried it all the way back in 2021 for the first time and it's still our top choice. We don't even live close to it anymore, it's so good, we make the drive. Since our first visit, we've tried almost every pizza on the menu, and seriously, you can't go wrong. Service is friendly, it definitely gives off a neighborhood bar vibe. If you have kids, we highly recommend sitting on the back patio, it's enclosed and usually quiet out there. read more

What a fun neighborhood pizza joint. It's a friendly dive bar with a couple TVs and some games to play too. Football and soccer were both on. Staff is super friendly, even when it's slammed and the barkeep is running the entire front of the house. I loved the fact they have a fancy type of green olives and NA beer by my favorite Atheletic Brewery. The cheese blend they use was flavorful too. The kitchen made our pizza perfect. I'm a pizza snob and I won't deny it. I actually came here expecting to hate it but I just can't, it's too darn good! Dough is awesome and it's well topped. My only complaint with the pie is that here, like most places, the toppings are too heavy in the center, too light on the edges. Should be pizza 101 but most places fall down here. We got a full size chicken and pesto pizza with goat cheese and bell pepper to split between two of us, and I had two slices at the table and two more walking around afterwards. It was so delicious, especially the goat cheese, and I was definitely more for getting a whole pizza instead of a single slice so that we could get one of their specialties. I would definitely come again and try another of their specialty pizzas. The ambiance is nice and dark, and the server was very friendly and accommodating. The drinks here aren't bad either! Probably not the best I've had but also definitely not something to complain about. read more

You know myself and wife are all about local but when your ignored for the second time in a row watching food go out the entire time... frustrating.... The Server is hanging with her friend at bar who ordered and also got her pizza instantly... nice.. (the oven was having problems though,,).. Then be told all the sudden the ovens down from the server, instead of just being honest our pizza order was forgotten... lame... 45 minutes before our order was even put in.. Pacific Ave Pizza is under new management. That is a good thing. We love our little neighborhood (Brownes Addition) and now we have an excellent pizza parlor several blocks f on our condo. We ordered a 20" Pepperoni with olive well done. Outstanding crust, very tasty pepperoni and awesome sauce and cheese. The red wine blend for $5 a glass (regular price, not happy hour) was an added treat! We are already planning a future visit when our Portland friends join us in November. Just ate there since new ownership. Was looking forward to it as they an owner also owns Perry Street Pizza which is the best. Sauce was so salty and not caused by the meat. The pie crust was good though. There were 14 people in the place, one bartender and one cook. We could not check out. Had to go to the bar with leftovers to check out. We stood for a while and was ignored at the table. We were hoping for a great pizza compared to Perry Street but it failed. Bummer as we wanted one closer to where we live. Guess it is just a bar that serves so so pizza that is salty to make you drink. Never had a pizza anywhere that was so salty. read more

This is a go-to for great pizza and a cold beer. The comic book decor speaks to my soul and I always feel comfortable here. Pizza by the slice is always a good choice. My personal favorites are the Thai and the Breakfast Pizza. The staff here is always friendly so if you're alone, sit at the bar and they'll have a chat with you. There's also a gamer table in the back where you can play PAC-Man while waiting for your pizza or your friends to arrive. I also love that they have daily specials. Great place. read more

The crowd is always laid back when I've been in and the bartenders make it feel more like a home-away-from-home. BIG props to their gluten free crust offering and vegan pizza toppings. The vegan cheese is actually quite tasty. It's a real challenge to find good tasting pizza that is dairy-free and Pacific Ave nails it. read more

My wife and I like to come here for both pizza and the hot sandwiches. We have yet to have a bad meal. It's a cool place to hang out and they have outdoor seating as well. While the service has not been spectacular I wouldn't call it bad either. The food does stand for itself thus the reason I'm giving them a 4 star rating. read more

I believe the problem with this place is the lack of attention when it gets crowded/busy. I sat at a table, received a menu and sipped a beer (20+min) before I was bothered to order as the waitress was busy with the bar top and other duties. I get it. If I were able to order and get out in a timely manner, great! As it sits, I've drank two beers and waiting on food. Has been roughly an hour. Have other people come and left in that time? Yes. The Vegans Are Coming! If Paul Revere had been an omnivore hell-bent on preventing tasty animal substitutes from making their way onto American pizza, he may have shouted this at the top of this lungs while riding through town on a valiant steed. But unfortunately for him, it's 2011 and no one listens to crazy yelling lunatics anymore. Well, no one except Glenn Beck fans. Fortunately for us, we can enjoy fake cheese and vegan pepperoni if we want to. I think it's now a constitutional right (thanks, Paul). And the best place to get it is at Pacific Avenue Pizza. I recently organized a meet-n-greet for the Spokane Vegans here. We called ahead to make sure they had plenty of vegan stuff, and when we got there we were delighted to find out they had lots of options. Two types of vegan cheese. Vegan pepperoni and sausage. And even vegan ground beef for vegan nachos! Yum! And yes, they have real cheese and meats for all you omnivores out there. From what I hear, those are pretty good too. I had a pizza made with their spicy Thai peanut sauce, which was delicious. And I washed it down with a delicious beer. Yep, they have a full bar too. The ambiance is great. Comic book and movie memorabilia deck the walls and some great music was playing as well. We have decided that it might just be one of our new favorite places to eat. I'll leave you with Paul Revere's slightly less famous quote about pizza: "One topping by land, two of by sea. Oh, screw it, just make mine a double pepperoni." read more

I returned to Pacific Ave a few days ago because I'm back in town for work and literally every thing that made me love this place is gone. Pizza by the slice? No more. Creative pizza and Stromboli options? No more. Vegan and vegetarian subs and easy gluten-free subs? Not from what I could tell. Fun engagements with video games and comic books? Nah. Please don't waste your time here. When my family visited this restaurant, there were probably around twelve other parties in the restaurant, a decent but by no means large crowd. Yet, when in came time to order, we were told that, due to the unexpected spike in business that evening, we would have to wait at least 40 minutes to receive our food. We were fine waiting that long, and just decided to take a walk around the area while the pizza was being made. So, half an hour later, we arrive back at the restaurant to find that our pizza was still not ready. In total, we waited over an hour and 15 minutes to get our food. Finally, our waitress comes out with one 12" pizza (which was admittedly quite good) and told us that our other pizza would be out in a couple minutes. So we waited, and waited, and waited. Finally, my dad asks if we could have the other pizza in a take-out box to coyly hint to our waitress that she might have forgotten to bring it out. Then she tells us that we didn't order another pizza. After arguing back to us for a few minutes, she leaves and returns with a tiny scrap of paper with one of the two pizzas we ordered written on it, clearly ripped off of the original notebook she took our order on. Even in the case that our waitress had only written down one pizza, that would be her fault. We finally ask to see the manager, and Pacific Avenue Pizza's owner walks out. Instead of apologizing for the mixup and/or giving us the first pizza for free, he reiterates exactly what our waitress told us the first time, this time saying the wait was due to "oven troubles" (a completely new excuse). He finally offered us a measly $5 discount on the first pizza and we went on our way. I can personally say that I'll never be returning to this establishment again. read more

Waitress came back to check on us after a while and brought the check. Had to walk up to the register to pay since we didn't want to wait another ten minutes to cash out. This place is awesome! On Tuesday it's only $2 for slices and pints of beer! That is the type of deal a poor law student loves. The pieces of pizza are huge! Two was plenty to fill me up. Their draft selections are legit too - I got No Li's Amber Ale and it was fabulous. It can get crowded on Tuesdays (obviously, everyone wants the awesome deal) but it also depends on what time you get there. Three friends and I got there around 6 and were able to snag a table in the back. The pizza is also legit! Thin crust New York style - the kind you have to fold to eat, my favorite! Be patient with the wait staff when it gets busy. And sometimes you may have to wait for the slices when they run out and have to throw a new pie into the oven. But I mean, then you get super fresh pizza, so it's a decent trade off to have to wait a bit. They also have a full bar as well. Check out this little gem in Browne's Addition. I wanted to give Pacific Avenue Pizza 3 stars, but I think the description "Meh. I've experienced better" was the best way to describe this pizza joint. We ordered the garlic breadsticks, they were pretty good. Served hot, which was a definite plus. I was excited about the margherita pizza, but was disappointed to hear that they do not use fresh mozzarella. Strike one. We settled for the supreme and hawaiian-style (canadian bacon/pineapple) pizzas instead. We really liked the seasoning of their red sauce, but thought the pizza was lacking something. It seemed a bit greasy and there weren't many toppings on it. Maybe they were running low that particular night? To be fair, I saw the pizzas that other people ordered and they looked much better than ours. Maybe we just ordered the wrong thing? The atmosphere was cool. It has a comic-book theme, which gave the restaurant a unique feel. The service was great, our server was nice and attentive. If I could, I would give them 5 stars for service -- however their pizza was just middle of the road for me. read more
