    Gorgonzola Steak Salad

This is probably the fourth time I've been to Cascadia. I live out of state, but I make a point to pop in when I'm in Spokane. Their pretzels are so addicting. They're huge, fluffy, salty and crispy on the outside and soft and warm on the inside. Only thing I don't like is I prefer the mustard and not the cheese, but they were gonna charge me extra for mustard. That seemed a little ridiculous to me. But moving on, the salad was so good. I shared it with my daughter and it was everything we wanted to be. This place has great food and quick service. If you haven't been there go check them out.

Service was great. Very personable and they greeted all the regulars by name. They had my favorite beer on tap so that is always a plus and they made sure that my glass was never empty. The look is sleek and contemporary but still comfortable. Ordered the bleu cheese burger. Flavor was really good. Just not exceptional. Patty was a bit dry and the fries were a bit cool. Not stale, just not hot. I heard them say the kitchen was backed up so maybe they were having a bit of an off night. I will go back and give them another try.

Every time we come here, we leave happy and full! My husband and I took my parents here recently and we sat outside on their patio. The drinks, food and service were all fantastic. Hands down the best pretzels in town (we always get an order to go for later). Looking forward to the opening of Kindred soon!

I LOVED the avocado tacos!! I LOVED the garlic fries! I loved the drinks! Our server was so attentive and friendly! I would definitely come here again.

Eh, we were seated right next to the kitchen so it was very loud. The service was just fine. We came because there were tons of people saying how delicious their soft pretzel was. Neither my friend or I thought it was very good. VERY bland. And the texture was a lil funky. The beer cheese was okay, but there are so many better options in Spokane. I have enjoyed coming here in the past but next time I will be getting something else!

This place was really good and I am even more impressed I found it on a whim. Not only was the food drool worthy, but the service was immaculate, and the outdoor seating ambiance was such a vibe. My boyfriend and I just adopted our sweet puppy and drove six house to get him so we needed an outdoor, dog friendly spot. It was perfect because there was even a pet store right next door we stopped in afterward. Every server was so sweet and attentive and made sure our waters were full, even our pups. We hope to go back if we are ever in that area because it was THAT good!

I really don't know why people come to this bar, I've been here twice and both times the service has been off the server doesn't know what's on their menu or on their taps. The food I have tried here is not good and very bland. He place is always packed for whatever reason.

Although this place is in an odd spot with a not great parking situation, it is worth the stop. Service is always stellar and the food is so very good. Outstanding actually. It is a pretty open restaurant so it can get a bit loud when it's busy. They will set up tables for groups as well and will really accommodate whoever comes in the door. Servers are always friendly to kids and surprisingly there always seem to be a lot of families there. This is a restaurant that is well worth putting your 'need to go to' list.

Cascadia Public House has quickly become one of our favorite spots to frequent, thanks to its welcoming atmosphere and delicious offerings. Their happy hour is particularly enjoyable, offering a great selection of food and drinks at unbeatable prices. While I'm not strictly vegetarian, I do enjoy exploring different culinary options, and I was pleasantly surprised by their hot honey chicken sandwich, which I substituted with the vegetarian Impossible patty. The flavor was outstanding, and I couldn't even tell that it wasn't real chicken. The sandwich was complemented perfectly by the perfectly cooked fries, generously portioned and served with an array of sauces to suit every taste. During happy hour, the margaritas are a must-try, bursting with flavor and expertly crafted by their talented bartenders. Additionally, supporting a black-owned business adds to the positive experience, and it's clear that the team at Cascadia Public House takes pride in their work, as evidenced by their recent award. I've sampled various items on their menu, but my favorite so far has to be the hot honey chicken sandwich with the vegetarian patty. The flavors are simply outstanding. The restaurant itself is clean and well-maintained, conveniently located off of Maple Francis. Cascadia Public House offers a fantastic dining experience with great food, excellent service, and a welcoming atmosphere. Whether you're a vegetarian or a meat-lover, there's something for everyone to enjoy at this gem of a restaurant. They can accommodate a fairly large party as well! Multiple Groups of 6 which is nice.

Omg! Decided to stop in Spokane for lunch and of course checked yelp. So glad I did. The food was Amazing ! I had a shrimp po boy...and garlic fries. Friends had the N.Y French dip, and chicken pesto sandwich. All was good ....so worth the 15 min drive off the highway. Parking was a bit rough tho, super busy. The staff was kind and so helpful. We sat outside and the weather was amazing and warm. Great find ...will definitely stop again.

Honestly, Wooden City really lives up to its hype. It's an upscale spot right in downtown Spokane,…read morebut still feels warm and lively instead of overly formal. Definitely one of the best-quality restaurants in the city, where every dish was thoughtfully made and packed with flavor. What we ordered: Starters: - Spring Salad: Super fresh and well-balanced. The snap peas were crisp, with strawberries added for sweetness, and the goat cheese + pistachios gave it a creamy, nutty contrast. The lemon & tarragon vinaigrette tied everything together with a light, herby flavor. - Jerk Cauliflower: Crunchy cauliflower with Caribbean spices with a creamy jerk sauce, good as a side Appetizers: - Peel 'n' Eat Shrimp: Really juicy and spicy from the Cajun spice. There's butter to dip in but I found it too greasy and prefer lemon instead. - Blistered Hungarian Peppers: Smoky pepper with some sweetness and savory from the sausage and cheddar. Served with a toasted focaccia that soak up all the sauce. Main dishes: - Chicken Schnitzel: One of the must-orders. Crispy, golden breading, super tender inside. The lemon & caper butter sauce added acidity and richness that elevated the whole dish. Yoy have to order extra because it's never enough for the table. Yes, it's that good. - Marbled Duroc Pork Chop: Another favorite . Juicy and tender, with 'nduja salsa brava bringing a spicy depth, while lemon tahini and marcona almonds added creaminess and crunch. I always missed tasting this dish like my first time - Beet Ravioli: Earthy and slightly sweet flavor, nice texture but I hate goat cheese so I'm not really a fan of this dish - Pesto Bacon Pizza: Delicious crunch, loved the combo of mozzarella and gorgonzola, kind of creamy with a bit of funk. Balsamic do help balance and gave it a sweet tangy flavor, or else it would be too heavy for me (yes, not a pizza fan) Drinks & Dessert - Not Mai Tai mocktail: very aesthetically looking drink, but a bit too sweet to my liking - Apple crisp: cozy and warm, with baked apple & pecan crumble and served with vanilla ice cream on top. Delicious ice cream. - Pumpkin cheesecake: My 3rd favorite of the night, I still dream about it!! Rich, smooth, and perfectly spiced, you shouldn't skip this!!! That said, I do have to take away a couple points for timing. Our foods took 45 mins to come out even though I had reservations and note the menu items via the email, and the wait time between each dish was also... very confusing. It broke the flow of our meal. But once the food hit the table, it was hard to stay mad, so I forgave them.

I feel like I just went to a dress rehearsal about a play about a group of friends who got together…read moreand said "How about we open a restaurant? That would be fun!" Tonight was just so strange. First, I had no idea who was an employee. There were two girls that were going around together over and over, they kept stopping at tables so I think they worked there...but they never had anything in their hands. Our server seemed to keep forgetting we were there. Or just forgetting she was employed in general. Seriously just not with it. She was very nice...when she remembered we were there. I will say the pizza crust tasted amazing. So many places that serve pizza think of the crust as just something to put toppings on, but this had great flavor. Sadly, it was rolled too thin and said toppings made it somewhat soggy. Caesar salad was ok. Romaine was really fresh and crisp and the homemade croutons were still a little warm. Very good. However, the dressing was rather bland. And when I asked for pepper for it, our waitress first had it in her head that I expected some kind of peppers on my salad. When she finally understood I meant black pepper, she went away. Eventually she returned. Not with a pepper grinder or a shaker, but a sauce bowl that had about 3 tablespoons of black pepper in it. I wouldn't use that much pepper if I cooked for myself for a week and used it with every dish. Had to ask for knives for some of people's meals. I will say the spicy lamb rigatoni was amazing, pasta just right and the sauce and flavor was peak. I am just not sure what to say, other than this was the strangest and most disorganized dining experience I have ever had. I think if a grown up showed up and brought the kids into line, this place would be amazing. Also, for what we paid, I expected to be wowed, not left wondering what I just experienced.

When we arrived, the atmosphere felt warm and welcoming, and the guy at the bar was genuinely friendly and helpful, which always makes a difference. The food prep was impressively fast, and everything was packaged neatly and thoughtfully for takeout. We started with the pretzel, which was solid, but the real standout was the mustard--super unique with a tangy, spicy, almost wasabi-like kick that made it memorable. For mains, the curry dish hit a great balance--flavorful without being overpowering or too mild. And the biggest endorsement came from my daughter, who ordered the kids pasta with marinara and added chicken--she declared it the "best spaghetti she's ever had!" (Shh... don't tell mom.) Overall, great service, tasty food, and a welcoming vibe. The only reason it's not a full 5 stars is I'd love to explore more of the menu next time--but based on this visit, we'll definitely be back.
