The good news... the food is great. I love their breakfast items and more. The not so good news... I went there for a birthday party 11/1/2025 and ordered a 'bottle' of Pino Grigio from Italy as the menu indicated that one was available. I didn't realize that they actually served me a different Pino Grigio because it was in a chiller and I didn't pay for the tab. When I called the next day to discuss the different bottle, I was told that not only was I given the wrong wine it cost almost double what I anticipated. The manager was very nice & understanding. She provided me with a gift card for the difference which I gave to the one that paid the tab. We decided to try them again for another birthday & went on 6/11/2026. This time I made sure that I was getting the right bottle. I reviewed the drink menu & found that it clearly shows that they have a Pino Grigio from Italy in a bottle form for $18. I pointed this out to our server, Dee Dee & told her that I only wanted it if it's the bottle. She returned and told me that it was only available in a craft. This tells me that they haven't corrected their drink menu. Our server, Dee Dee was short with us several times. Especially, at the end when I asked her to explain my bill because it didn't make sense to me. It shows $38.70 + $3.52 (tax) - $4.80 (HH discount) = $42.22. My math shows that the total would be $37.42, not $42.22. Instead of trying to help me she took off and got the bartender who explained that the $4.80 discount was taken off beforehand which created the $38.70 total. I thanked the bartender for explaining it to me. I then went to explain it to Dee Dee so that she could explain it to others and she just walked off. The Doors used to be our go to place for our group's birthdays, but not any more. First the got rid of the free steak dinner, and it appears that they've also gotten rid of decent servers and an accurate menu. read more

So we love this place. We stop here almost every time we come to Spokane. We came here a lot when I lived there. So with that background - we were here again last Thursday and I have to tell you it was awesome. We had the Broasted Chicken with a side of mashed potatoes and brown gravy. Both incredible. The potatoes are made there and there is still some good soft "chunks" in it. the nice thing - we split it because damn that could be on a thanksgiving table it's so big. (note: SD - don't make it smaller it's perfect). The Mac and cheese - you have to get this. it's the best homemade Mac n cheese I've had. The steak salad was "okay" not great but mostly because it seemed a bit short on steak. the beer is always great and hey they have T3 on tap. Hoopfest weekend on Sunday. 12:00 we were told food would be 25 min out. (No problem) our server(s) were fantastic. But for the first time in years, the chicken in a biscuit was AWFUL. I've enjoyed dinner with friends here, as well as a few breakfasts. One of my dinner companions worked there as a high schooler when it was a pizza joint. They called her the "flour-girl" because she was always dusty from pizza dough. "Doors" is my favorite kind of bar-diner. Dark when you walk in, it takes a minute to focus on the dining area, which is ringed all around by big screen televisions broadcasting all manner of sporting events. My dinner was a Double Bogey Burger with Onion Rings and an iced tea. I ate it like I was going to the chair!! My breakfasts are steak and eggs. The portions are very generous and tasty to boot. Definitely a locals place, looks like a sports bar (because it is) but the TVs are on mute most of the time. Lots of seating at tables, booths and the bar, all seat yourself. A nice selection on the menu as long as you aren't too picky and quick friendly service. Good prices and large portions make most of it shareable. I've gone to Swinging Doors for years, it's always been great and only go for breakfast. I get Eggs Benedict and my friend gets the broasted chicken. We went last Saturday morning and for the first time was disappointed. The eggs were more like soft boiled, the English muffin was burned and most disappointing of all was the hash browns. Had breakfast here with a friend and ordered a breakfast burrito. It was ok, a bit small for the price in comparison to what you get at other establishments. They also wrap it in paper and then tape it closed. I personally found this a bit annoying in that it was tough to find the end to unwrap it. Just one of those things you don't think you're going to have to do to eat. Service was ok and did not get a coffee refill when the reserve pot they give you was empty. For the price I was hoping for more. The restaurant/bar is pretty dated and since the last time I was there they have added little blue LED lights around the booths. 2/15/2020. Chili review. Good sized bowl, for a fair price. Nothing stood out to me, other than it seemed to be put together with pre-processed food off the Sysco/FSA truck. That, and everybody else got their meals before me, which leads me to believe they probably shouldn't have this on their everyday menu. Ladle...bowl...garnish...serve. Not too tough. And there wasn't any 'swerve' to make me think that Chef Jaques showed up for work this morning, and made the house chili. Canned taste and consistency. Cool bar on the Northside, and very busy for a Saturday lunch. I very much enjoyed my philly, and the kids that accompanied us today loved all their meals too. I thought their elevated booths in the back area where they sat us were really neat. They were comfy, but you had a nice view of the entire place. Our server and other staff were very friendly, and we were always checked on to see if there was anything else we needed. They also had these cute little TVs all around showing sports and such. My husband and I had dinner there last night. I have eaten there many times. The food and service are for the most part always great. Jake K was our server. He was the best server I have ever had in my entire life! Friendly, accommodating, came back to our table quickly, and got our order right. I ordered the bacon cheeseburger sandwich, which in my opinion is the best burger in town. My husband ordered the prime rib sandwich. He said it was really good. You cannot go wrong with thier food.
