We have been twice now. One time we had to sit in the bar (the restaurant was booked), which was way too loud, the people next to us were a bit drunk and quite loud. Last time was in the restaurant itself, which was much more pleasant. Both times there were 4 of us, and each time, all 4 of us absolutely loved our meals. Last time both my husband and I had the chicken fried steak. We both loved it. Our guests, our pastor and his wife, had the chicken pasta dish. Both raved. 3 of us were totally impressed with the size of our side salad, and the 4th loved his (rather small) cup of chicken dumpling soup. Server was fast and friendly initially but never checked on us again until he brought the check. Only negative was that our drinks were never refilled. read more

The service is very poor. They acted as if our party was an inconvenience. Won't be going back and won't be recommending them to anyone.

We walked in, and it was very confusing as to whether you should seat yourself or not. (no signs saying either way) The only worker I saw was at the bar and she was chatting other customers, and didn't see us. We decided to go use the bathroom, then came back, and she was gone. We walked over to a table, not knowing whether we were supposed to be seating ourselves. We waited a few more minutes, and still nobody was paying attention to us, and the lady that was at the bar was still gone. Went to Darcys we were sat in the restaurant it seemed to not be any help they were all serving the bar. We ordered fish and chips not like the photo huge big chunks of fish taste like rubber the fries were not even cooked. We had to return the meal. Its not good fish the pictures did not show the truth. We will never dine there again. Your fish is horrible please match the photo you have the fish was like rubber not done. This used to be a top shelf establishment. What I see now is heartbreaking . Black walls and ceiling, dirty floors, tables with dining ware unattended, and a poorly managed staff. A once pearl of the Spokane Valley, reduced to a dump. The former owners are sorely missed. read more

Awesome owners !! We had a wedding reception in October 2024 and they were so accommodating and the servers for our event went out of their way to provide great service. This is the 2nd event we've had in 10 years there for a group of 40 then 70 people. They have two rooms to accommodate different group sizes. The food was excellent for our Italian buffet. read more

Service, ambiance and the KJ on Friday and Saturday night is wonderful. Lots of fun singing with a friendly crowd. Food could improve. Bartenders are the best. Fries and drinks are our thing when we go there. Lots of people out to eat though so some people enjoy the food. read more

We did a take out order for the first time on valentine day and the food and the service was excellent I had 3 staff members ask me if I have been helped I have never been in there and my first takeout order was outstanding we ordered the ribeye steak with a dinner salad and green beans and then a mushroom Swiss burger and a side of stuffed mushrooms omg it was all so good the ribeye was as big as the container and the green beans were fresh and the hamburger was so big and tasty and the stuffed mushrooms were a little small but they were so yummy and didn't cost a arm and a leg for the food for 2 people i would go back read more

I went for the Prime Rib -ordered medium rare - it was tough, well done and very very dry- could barely cut it it was so tough and didn't show one faint sign of pink in it. The waiter was good, very nice and apologetic even though he had nothing to do with the cooking. read more

Our local club had reservations for 40. We have come here many times and actually had a holiday party here. The reservations are for 6 pm. They have prime rib printed on the menu. They were out. Irish Naxos also out. Clam chowder...out! Deserts..... asked and was told maybe. Steaks undercooked and delivered to the wrong folks. Baked potatoes that shouldn't have sour cream the server stated 'I'll just scrape it off.' Received the bill and had to again ask for desert. Very disappointed and won't be back! read more

It's easy to miss--at the confluence of Sprague Ave's one-way-from-two-way street driving--and being at the corner of a derelict mall area who's best days were in the 70s/80s. But... This place has been around for quite a while and I have never been here, I would say it was an okay experience. We came for a family birthday and had a group with us. The servers took forever to get our drinks and it was almost an hour into waiting (we were waiting for other people for about 20 minutes. The drinks were good, the appetizers were okay. I thought oysters were really over fried and super fishy, but my father in law thought they were great. The clams were good, with a butter sauce that was pretty good. My husbands steak was raw and we sent it back after a bite was taken out of it as well as cut in half....they did just throw it back on the grill after it had been contaminated by mouths and knives and stuff, that was a little interesting but there was no food waste, so insert *shrug* here. The sliders were dry, my son barely touched his and there were no sauces which just doesn't do it for me. The fries were unseasoned and we didn't really eat them. The steak my husband had was good and he said the caesar was one of his very favorite salads he has ever had. Other than that, it was an okay experience. read more

We recently held my brother's Celebration of Life at Darcy's. We reserved one of their banquet rooms & Annette helped us plan a fitting goodbye. Took my mother for lunch today. She let the waiter know she had celiac disease. He served her breaded and fried fish and tried to claim it was gluten free. After asking him to please check with the kitchen he informed us that they were not gluten free. He took them back and returned them with the breading peeled off and charged us full price for something she could not eat. Awful. Do not eat here. read more

My husband and I ate here for the first time tonight and I was wary due to the negative reviews. All I have to say is go back! Service was quick and efficient and the food was delicious. Amy (AJ) was our server, she was so friendly and attentive. I had the sirloin with peppercorn sauce and my husband had the chicken fried steak. We both loved our meals, very tasty and can I just say their green beans are our of this world. I had a long island ice-tea and it was by far the best I have ever had. I even asked Amy if they had a 2 per person limit due to how tasty it was! Please go check this place out if you've never been and give it another go if you didn't like it the first time. Been here several times. The service and food generally rate in the 3 star territory. However, tonight we went and waited at the entrance for 10 minutes. 2 different servers saw us during that time. Not a smile or a finger raised indicating that they would be with us shortly. Absolutely no acknowledgement. The place had maybe 10 people at the bar and three tables occupied. 10 minutes without a person welcoming you is just unacceptable. We love this place even though it does have it's down sides if you sit in the dining area. They seem to cater more to the bar area. Large size servings and wonderful salads.. I think the Cobb is my favorite. read more

We stopped for dinner last night and two of us ordered the Prime Rib. It was terrible! We could hardly cut it with steak knives and they were of poor quality. It appears it was cooked in a convection oven. I ordered med rare and I can't tell you if it was or not. The meat had not been seared or grilled. The entire steak was red... not raw red but convection oven not browned red! Our waiter was the only one working the dining room and was working his butt off. Very nice kid. First negative review for me. Great food as recently as last week when my husband and I brought our son last week for a delicious steak dinner. They were busy in the bar with a Zags game on, but our server was fantastic and was tipped accordingly. I was excited when we were invited to a birthday party, but a little disappointed to find out the full menu was closed (we arrived after 9pm). I've only ever had great experiences in the restaurant since its owners opened its doors--a relief after them having sold Casey's Place (loyal customer there too). I've dined in regularly over the years and placed dozens of orders to-go (club is my go-to). The young ladies serving the side room for the party were pleasant, unlike the ill-mannered, boorish staff in the bar. I waited for 5 minutes at the bar without anyone asking to help me. I asked a friend if something happened before I arrived because everyone seemed grumpy, and a server who walked up replied that I was the only person there who was being "rude" and told me she didn't like the way I was talking to her coworkers. I was genuinely confused and thought she may have mixed me up with another patron, so I asked if she was serious first, then explained that I had only just arrived 10 minutes before. I asked the bartender if she thought I had been rude to her, and she said, "No, not to me." I had only spoken to one other bartender to order soda (and my husband ordered a beer), and I asked about the menu--I didn't interpret that first interaction as negative though. As I continued waiting for assistance at the bar, I told the party hosts about the incident--I thought it would be best to let them know since they booked the party. The same bartender who just said I hadn't been rude to her began to shout and curse at me, telling me I could leave if I was going to "start s%#t". She went on to say I was "staring" at the one who called me rude, and "telling my friends" about what she had said to me. I told her I wasn't starting anything and that I was appalled by how they treat patrons. She told me I could "go back to the party or leave." I explained I had only been at the bar area because I was waiting to ask for a refill of my Diet Pepsi. I'm unsure if someone misinterpreted my facial expressions or body language, if they thought I was drinking/drunk like the rest of the patrons there, or if they mixed me up with someone else, but I certainly had not said or done anything that should have been interpreted as rude. Accusing me of doing things I hadn't was embarrassing for me, and inappropriate and unprofessional for the staff. Because of this interaction, I don't plan to return and I'm pretty upset about it. I hope Darcy's can get some better staff or train the ones they have, so I might feel comfortable returning one day. read more

My mom loves this place and has been trying to get me to go there for months. I finally gave in about a month ago on a night they have discounted burgers. To be fair, a Gonzaga game had been on earlier and it was still busy. However when I got the burger it had very little condiments on it. I asked for some Mayo because it was dry. I was also offered tarter sauce. The Mayo came after asking for it twice and after I had eaten the burger. The tarter (for fries) never came. I searched high and low for a place to hold a 50th wedding anniversary party and this place EXCELLED in customer care and quality of food!! Not only did we have our own room, they let us come early and decorate including them providing matching napkins and tablecloths and we had our own AMAZING server, Jacobey! At one point I thought he must be triplets! Annette (manager?) checked in several times throughout out dinner party also! We never wanted for drinks, the food was ordered and served very reasonably for a large group and out of 35 meals only one very picky uncle wasn't 100% happy! I have been to Darcy's twice. They are one of the few area restaurants that has a large meeting room for large groups. A club I belong to meets at Darcy's every month. The meeting room must comfortably hole 50 people, maybe more. They also have a good size regular dining room and bar area. The bar serves big corporation beer on draft. They had no amber beer on draft so I ordered a bottle of an Amber. Our server was quick and I soon got my beer. The first time I was there I tried their cheeseburger. It was good but ordinary. The second time I thought I would try "Street Tacos - Six white corn tortillas filled with fish or chicken topped with fresh pico de gallo and a creamy cilantro sauce ~ $8" I waited and waited. The group meeting finally served cake for a special event and I had some cake. Almost at the end of the meeting our server brought my Street Tacos. She apologized for the delay saying "The kitchen was backed up." When they finally arrived my Street Tacos had quite a bit of chicken, and the cilantro sauce dripped over. It didn't sit well with my digestion for the next day. They also have steaks, chicken fried steak, and a big selection of sandwiches and salads. Perhaps next time I'll go back to their hamburgers. The atmosphere was clean and comfortable. The noise level was quieter than many places. Parking was adequate. Restrooms were maintained. Prices were reasonable.
