Ok today I have them a 3 out of 5, the cheese sticks are always awesome and they are bigger then other places and the strawberry lemonade wasn't bad and I liked the bacon cheeseburger but the fries were pretty salty and you can tell it was seasoned salt. I had tartar sauce but couldn't mask the salt so if they tone back on the salt it'd be a better rating but everything else was very good. So if you haven't been here swing on by there and grab some cheese sticks you won't be disappointed. read more

This is a popular place for locals. They have a large menu and even breakfast is all day. The thing they're famous for is you can get a free steak on you're actual birthday. Not service, but the wait time for food is always slower than average, even when it's not prime dining hours. My friend loves their beefsteak sandwich. Everyone loved their food. I got the chicken pesto spinach pasta salad and that was so good! I'd get it again for sure! Tried the jalapeno chicken corn chowder. It was good, but not as thick as I'd imagine it to be. Got their Middle Doors breakfast (two eggs, any meat so bacon for me and fries, but I asked for hash browns). Eggs weren't cooked correctly, but it's ok. Bacon was generous like 5 pieces! Hash browns were great - crunchy outside and soft inside without being wet mushy. read more

Their food was absolutely delicious but it took about 1-2 hours to get a chicken fried steak. I also recommend the pancakes they are huge.But only if you want to wait at least 1 hour for food come here. Made reservations for a Gonzaga game night. I invited my niece and her husband to join us. Food was really good. Service was good except when my Niece asked for a gimlet. The server looked at her and said "i don't know what that is" and kind of laughed. I was a little shocked because that drink has been around forever, besides, if you dont know go look it up. I've been wanting to try this place for awhile because I like sports bars and heard the broasted chicken was good. The place was just as I imagined but had no idea how awesome the service was! Greeted right away when we sat (4:30 on a Friday afternoon) , ordered drinks and got them right away. It was happy hour so the place was crowded. Dawson was our server and was very attentive. The chicken was pretty good, but my husband had a huge, grilled ham and Swiss sandwich on parm bread that was very tasty. A very relaxed atmosphere. Will return. read more

Mary and I ate here for the first time Saturday night; the place has a typical local sports tavern/pub look and feel; every football game was on one of the many big screens. It was very busy, we were greeted right away but it took longer than normal for a waiter to get to us; he was polite and attentive from there on. We started off with beverages, a Sunrise for Mary and a 44North Huckleberry lemonade for me, very tasty. Mary had a small Fiesta Taco Salad, taco meat, cheddar cheese, tomatoes, olives, onions on shredded lettuce, tortilla chips and salsa, tasty. I had the Beer Cheese Philly; sliced angus beef topped with sautéed onions, green peppers and beer cheese sauce. It came on a very fresh hoagie style roll, overall a very tasty sandwich. What a great place to watch any sporting event. Our server was great! Our apps were so good. Drinks were perfect. The atmosphere here is all about some sports. We could watch all of the games and there was enough space between tables that you didn't feel like you were sitting at someone else's table. We would definitely go here again to enjoy the REDSKINs games! read more

​ I went there and ordered a 23 oz beer which they charge a ridiculous price for. My beer came with a giant head that had disappeared because it sat too long. The Best Chili in Spokane. Topped off by the awesome staff. As well as the best place for pull tabs. They always have someone tending the pull tabs. Down fall is they close at 11:00. Still worth the stop. read more

This review is about the service!!!!!! Most of the staff at the Swinging Doors is great, but this one lady's attitude is 100% Terrible !!!Her name is Linda and this is the second time she's been real rude to me and my son. It's getting real annoying! My son and I walked in to do a To-go order as we waited for my older son to get out of work. The first thing out of her mouth was, uh he can't be in here past 10. (my son) It was 9:40. I looked at her and said that's quite a welcome to your guests, what time is it? She said the time. So I said good, can you get our to go order in now? Rolled her eyes let out a sigh and waited for us to tell her what we wanted. When I asked for something off the menu she said we turn that cooker off an hour ago so we can't serve you that. So I asked for wings, oh we can't do that either. I'm like well that guy next to us just got wings so I think you can you better check with your cook! She came back with more of an attitude and just asked what kind of sauce we wanted with the wings. There was two families with their kids in there who weren't being looked at or talked to about them making sure they were out of there right at ten! The first time we had an issue with her was when I went in to have a breakfast with my oldest son on his break and they serve breakfast till 2, I was there by 1:40 and sat there waiting for her to even come to the table she finally came at 1:53 and said oh we don't serve breakfast past two! I asked her the time that time and said ok it's not two yet, and I've been sitting here awaiting service since 1:40, her response was an eye roll then and You have not been waiting here that long! I told her I didn't appreciate the attitude and wanted my order put in so we could eat. She should not be working there as a server if she can't be kind and respectful to customers! read more

Awesome food nice bartenders a lot of pulltabs to play. Our kids love coming here and since we wint go to the Illinois bar and grill anymore we prefer to come here. Drinks are consistently good - a touch more expensive but we are ok with the higher prices. Awesome service EVERY TIME. On June 9th my friend and I met for lunch at the Swinging Doors. It's been a local favorite for many years especially during football and college basketball seasons. We both ordered soup and salad. The salads arrived sans tomatoes. When I asked the server what happened to the tomatoes, she replied that she could get some for me but it would cost extra. Really!?! She relayed the sad state of rising costs. A green salad isn't a salad without a tomato. Truly disappointing. Come to think of it, the Bloody Mary wasn't all that great either. read more

Potatoes under cooked and other food was cold as it came out. Service, I am sorry did you not see the table of 6? 20 minutes to get our drinks to us. Then food came out for a period of another 20 minutes. Item by item. It was odd. Next chance. Ordered two bugers... menu lists toppings burger comes with out those listed. Question is asked, informed that we must ask for tomato and pickles they don't come with it. Mayo that was asked for never came. Bill took a long time to come (note must have minimum of hour to eat here). Next order for take out get a salad. Salad price is $4 more than listed on online menu. I pay. Then make mention of differnece. Am told to stop looking at third party sites for prices. Well it was actually your website not uber eats. I was treated like I was asking for a freebie when I didn't even ask for a price match! I came in with a client for a post closing celebration. And was bummed at the actual quality of food. It looks pretty but the guac was browning, the meat was weird tasting, cheese was on the under layer and all of it was overheated/overcooked. We ate a little and told the waitress we didn't like it. She asked if we wanted anything else and we needed to go so said no. She asked if we wanted her to talk to the manager. Really? Do you ask customers this? My husband and I went here for the lunch. The food was good but extremely expensive for a bar. And the service was terrible. I have been going to this place for years. They have absolutely the best chicken fried steak in town. Great for breakfast or dinner. Comes with homemade sausage gravy. The steak is huge, not to mention the large portion of hashbrowns. I always substitute their toast for their homemade biscuit. It is absolutely my favorite breakfast eatery besides Old European. The waitresses have been there for years. Always friendly. The service is superior. I highly recommend it! read more

I came here with a friend for her 21st bday (they offer a free bday meal). Aside from this restaurant having the most tv's in town, there is nothing too special about it... it's just kinda ehh. I ordered the chicken club sandwich with a Caesar salad. The salad had way too much dressing on it, too much for me to finish eating it. The sandwich was alright, nothing too special. It was just a soggy chicken sandwich with brown guacamole. They do offer breakfast at all hours of the day which is nice and our server was really nice. A really good, hearty breakfast place! Especially when you're hungover. Big portions and the pricing is reasonable. I've gone for a few birthdays also and always got good service. Not memorable but it works. Since it's always so busy, it does suck when you walk in there and there is nobody there to help you find a table. But overall you can't complain. read more

The Swinging Doors is much more than just a bar. They have great food! They serve breakfast all day long and have a ton a appetizers. The broasted chicken is to die for! But be prepared to wait because that dish takes a while. That one should be shared. The dishes are quite large as well. The jojos are great and I add them to my meals instead of fries. I like to get the club sandwich or the captains platter (2 cod fillets, clams, and shrimp). Definitely a great place to come have dinner in Spokane! read more
