Mary and I stopped in here for the first time today. We ordered a flight of red and white wines and a charcuterie board. The selection of meats, cheese, bread, fruit, nuts, olives, we're all delicious. The wines were varied and tasty. You should give this place a try.

Amber is awaiting her first grandson in December but it did not distract her from creating a board to feed 4 as we inhaled the the pecorino, 1924 bleu cheese, the shoulder pork wine soaked need I say more?

We had wine and snacks here before the broadway show matinee. The decor is cool and I love the map theme. We enjoyed some excellent reds and charcuterie plates, ordering sandwiches we could eat on the way to the theater. Well the only gal who was there was very busy, and I couldn't help but think a co-worker must have called in, because they shouldn't have been short staffed on a busy Sunday lunch time downtown. In all fairness, we should have chosen a different place to grab a snack because we barely made the curtain. I thought about leaving a rare 3-star review from me, but in retrospect, we liked the food & wine we had, even though it was all premium downtown prices. I just hope that it's not always a one person show the running place.

French cheese, Italian meats, thin sliced baguette and a nice selection of wine, beer and cider- this friendly place has it all!

Second time coming in here and cool little spot to stop. Various wines and charcuterie boards to try.

A charcuterie platter for lunch is a nice idea, but the selection for this one needed a little more thought put into it, especially at the price point of $24! Our platter for 2 had a soft brie cheese good for spreading on the bread, and 2 hard cheeses that did not taste right with anything else on the platter. There were only 2 meats - a rather standard but good salami, and mortadella which also didn't go with anything else. The olives, almonds and sweet peppers were good for munching, but the grapes could have been left off altogether in favor of a berry or fruit that can be eaten with charcuterie. There were a lot of better options in their display cases, so if I eat here again I will be a bit more selective in what goes on my plate instead of leaving it to whoever is working behind the counter.

Forgot to review this place during my visit last Saturday as I was attempting to recover the day after I got the chance to stop in Wanderlust for a nice ending to my pre-birthday celebration with my oldest sister. We each decided to get a flight of wine, I did whites and she did reds. We also shared two "small plates" (choice of nuts, crackers and meat) because we didn't realize they were THAT small next time we will just get the charcuterie board because the $6 is worth it (and I recommend this to anyone who's trying to decide between the two). We ended up liking the first glasses of wine we tasted out of the three we each tried, enough so that my sister got me a bottle of the Hiruzta Hondarriba! (My first choice) it was so gentle on the palate while also delivering a delicious flavor. This winery-shop is such a cute place to stop and try imported European wine. I hope to come here soon again!

Love this place, fills a void for the foodie in Spokane. Wine, beer, cheese , meats, and can't forget the wonderful hand made chocolates.

Ask the Community - Wanderlust Delicato

If I brought a board, would you be able to fill it as a charcuterie board?

Yes, they have a limited amount of charcuterie, but what they have is good. They have more cheese -- also interesting and good. Of course, it could depend on the size of your board.

There is a massive selection of wines and other charcuterie accompaniments (sauces, dips, cracker, olives).

**A Sad Farewell to Alpine Deli - A Beloved German Gem**…read moreIt's with a heavy heart that I write this: the Alpine Deli has permanently closed its doors, and with it, a truly special part of our community is gone. This place was more than just a deli or restaurant--it was a little slice of Germany right here in Spokane. My wife and mother-in-law, both German, found comfort, joy, and a sense of familiarity in its authentic offerings. Whether it was the perfectly prepared schnitzel, the warm and hearty goulash, or the shelves stocked with imported German groceries--from mustards and sausages to chocolates and breads--you could taste the tradition in everything they offered. The loss of those hard-to-find German pantry staples hits hard. Alpine Deli was our go-to for ingredients you simply couldn't get anywhere else, and now there's a real gap where that connection to home and heritage used to be. The staff always made us feel welcome. There was a warmth and friendliness that matched the comforting food and cozy atmosphere. You didn't just go to Alpine for a meal--you went for an experience, a piece of culture, and a chance to connect over something real and delicious. It's a real loss to see a place like this disappear. In a world of fast, generic options, Alpine Deli stood proudly for tradition, quality, and authenticity. It will be sorely missed--not only by us, but by everyone who ever stepped through its doors and felt, if only for a little while, like they were part of something special. Danke, Alpine Deli. You gave us so many good memories. You won't be forgotten.

It's mostly sausage and meats, meats and sausages, hearty rolls and pretzel buns and rye bread etc. I got a Reuben and it was fucking delightful. Shits was piled high with meat and featured a massive wad of house-made (assuming) sauerkraut. Excellent bread and cheese. Soft. Bread was not really toasted all that long and I devoured the thing. Cost $12 for a whole sandwich with no sides. I shouldn't be crying about this but yet I am a little bit. Throw a few kettle chips my way and make it feel like a meal eh? A few carrot sticks? Something. Anything. I can't afford to eat like this for lunch. My co-worker got a sausage roll and it was just that. A couple smallish sausages with hot mustard on a white roll. Looked and tasted great but I know he must've walked out hungry. $8. Cup of soup is $6. I'm complaining a lot about prices. It's not their fault. They make from scratch and Spokane City has em' bent over with taxes and fees at every turn I'm sure. Service was really friendly and they were knowledgeable. They vary offerings a lot and feature some different breads and desserts daily. Homemade bratwurst is available but they tend to sell out, judging by our 12:10pm visit when they had nada.
