They're a great alternative to Kroger & are my main go to for groceries outside of Costco & TJ's. Unfortunately, the bakery isn't there. The doughnuts have looked good, so we finally tried them yesterday. I wish we hadn't. The fritters were (literally) raw. The dough in the middle was 100% uncooked and stringing when we broke one open. Luckily our kiddo didn't eat any, but this has to be a health code violation. As far as the other doughnuts go, to whomever decided it was a good idea to use frosting instead of cream... this isn't a health choice violation, but it should be. It's truly disgusting. Foul even. So obviously I had to to go check it out and see why it was so noteworthy. My takeaways, It's pretty similar to the bigger Walmart's. Lots of sections for light bulbs, rugs, candles, toys, games, etc. The rest of the first floor is filled with a lot more food items than a Walmart, much like a real grocery store. But then the second floor is filled with tons of generic clothing. It's such a chaotic store, yet amazing to someone who is not from Washington. I was surprised to see tons of products I grew up on, yet haven't seen in over a decade were here. As well as a bunch of products that I've never even seen before. So obviously I bought a ton of stuff to try. The building as also super clean which is a huge plus of course. Now for the negatives. The second story full of clothing seems so out of place. All of the clothing is so generic, yet more expensive than a lot of other places around here I've noticed. To be fair, ever person from Washington I've talked to says they never go to the clothing section. But that makes me wonder whose buying their clothes then. All of the clothing looks like the generic clothes that NPC's wear in video games. The other drawback is that they seem to be super understaffed. Only 1 person at self check out, as well as a single checker/bagger were there. Of course they had a couple other staff members who were probably doing things such as inventory, stock, etc. But there definitely wasn't a lot of people for checking out. Overall, It's a cool place to visit and I'll enjoy it while I'm up here.

Walmart only offers a gloss finish; however, I wanted matte. Therefore, I went to Walgreen's on the northside for a matte finish. Unfortunately, their photo printer only printed with a blue tint vs just black & white. Therefore, they refunded me my $. I then went to the Walmart on the northside because I got 1 black & white from them earlier. When I arrived, I told Nick in the photo dept what I had dealt with and that I wanted black & white "without" a blue tint. He printed my photos, put them in an envelope and rang them up. I paid and then pulled them out with the assumption that they would be black & white. They had the blue tint that I didn't want, nor did I see it on the computer screen. I told Nick that they had the blue tint that I didn't want, and he said; 'You much have chosen a filter." I told him that I didn't. He then offered to have me redo them with his help. While waiting forever for him I began the printing process again. I found where there are filters and 1 of the options is black & white which is what I then chose. I told him what I did. I then had to wait another 20 minutes because someone was printing over 700 pictures. When I got my second set of pictures, they were correct. He then charged me once again. Therefore, I paid twice and it took more than an hour. Neither of us were aware that even though you see a black & white picture on the screen you MUST chose the black & white filter for a fully black & white photo. I told the manager what occurred and that they should inform their customers and train their employees better.

No apology. No suggestions. No solutions. Just a voicemail dropping a bomb on the day of my family's event. And when I picked up the sandwich platter? The bag of lettuce they handed me was brown and slimy -- visibly rotting through the packaging. They handed it to me anyway and said nothing. This is my LOCAL store. My family shops here regularly. I trusted these people with an important family milestone and they couldn't have cared less. No accountability. No urgency. No effort.
