Yesterday I purchased about $500 in groceries and went there specifically for the free turkey. I realized today I didn't get it. I called the store and was told they didn't order enough so they aren't honoring it and it was only "while supplies last". The ad says nothing about it being supply limited and in the past they would either sub another brand or provide a rain check. When I said "so you are telling me that I spend about $500 and you just won't honor it at all? Even with a rain check or a substitution? Even though the ad is still on the website?" She said "that's right." I sent an email to the store manager but I think that's a really poor way to treat a long time customer. Coming from Arizona, our Kroger is called Fry's. Nothing like the Fred Kroger on Division. Fry's only has food, no outdoor, clothes, natural section, garden, etc. so excited to see these things when I went for the first time. Prices are higher here than Phoenix, but they are higher all around Washington. I've not had an issue finding what I'd use to buy in AZ, so that's great. This one offers a better deli, better bakery, better everything than back at home. I've not experienced any rude people or anyone that wouldn't help me find items (the layout is so different for me). i usually use self checkout, and the staff there have been good. i may not know what WA expeyations are, but ill keep shopping here! read more

Normally I have nothing bad to say about Fred Meyer. I love Fred Meyer. That being said, I do not love the actions of one particular individual who has been employed there. Today, I was at self checkout. I was trying to purchase 8 dragonfruits. It would not let me scan one dragonfruit code for all of the fruits, and some of them didn't have stickers. So like the problem solver I am, I started typing in the code. Somehow the machine thing called over an assistant. Lived in this part of the town for the last 10 years I've been going to this very same Fred Meyer ever since Lots of parking available always have all kinds of promotions going on. They've even started having samples evenings and weekends of their products sort of like Costco. There was a major renovation that went on an added hundreds more selection of healthy gluten-free food which I am super happy about since that's my diet. Love all the natural and organic products you can't beat Fred Meyer they don't just have a small wall of selection it's several rows and fridge freezer section as well. They used to have furniture items but that got removed to add more products that customers frequently requested they still have the clothing section. And instead of Tullies coffee they added a Starbucks which is a bittersweet thing. Why? Because I love Starbucks and then I have more convenience when I'm shopping to buy it. But then I'm like wait maybe I should save my five bucks I don't think that's ever happened they serve the drinks there really well I've never had an issue. Make sure you sign up for their Fred Meyer rewards you save a ton of money on gas and groceries as well and every couple months they send out well for me at least $75 coupon off groceries. read more

This is another good-sized Fred Meyer and one-stop shopping says it all. From gas to groceries you can get most of what you need. No, they don't sell tractors. If you are on the north side of town, this Fred Meyer's will satisfy your craving for an all-in-one shopping trip. Gas prices at Fred Meyer are competitive and only just above Costco prices. The pumps are easy to get to and right in front of the store. It is sometimes difficult to say something unique about a chain store. The best thing I can say is that if you know the layout of your local Fred Meyer, you will not get lost in this one. Good parking here. If you leave the parking lot to go south into Spokane, be careful when you cross the highway as it can be very busy and drivers don't always adhere to the speed limit. read more

The pharmacy's system was down? For how long? When we got an online estimate that a prescription was going to cost over $400 we checked the price at Costco. No coupon, over the counter price at Costco? Under $20. And their system was up. A month ago tried to fill a prescription for a common drug and was told that it would take over two weeks until the store would have some in stock. Called Costco and they had the drug in stock and at a lower price. Gonna have to write Fred Meyer's off our drug store list. We tried to give them business, after getting fed up with Walgreens overpriced drugs. Costco is definitely our go to pharmacy now. read more

It's been a little over a month since the covid19 shutdown but Fred Meyer has been consistently keeping their prices reasonable and items stocked while maintaining safety protocols. The staff has been amazing and professional along with keeping the store clean and clutter free. Every time we go shopping here I always get a big smile on my face!! If you can't find something, ask any employee on the floor & if they can't help, they'll find you someone who can. It has become my favorite store to shop at. Fred Meyer is a Kroger store . . . their prices for many things are a little higher than average, but if you watch for sales on the stuff you like you can make out like a bandit. I needed my favorite Kroger protein bars and they were on sale ($.80 cents off), so, four boxes. I added a few of the house brand items that I love and are inexpensive, so good visit for me. The advent of shopping online with curbside pickup has been a godsend to those folks concerned with Covid-19 exposure. Nobody does this better than Fred Meyer; nobody. Every item they carry is viewable on their website, including nutritional info that can be magnified for making-out ingredients; something difficult to do in the store.. even with readers. The whole process is intuitive and at the store's lot with a quick call a cart appears and a masked employee loads you up. Great service, mindful of distancing and great experience. Almost always have a coffee shop option and are friendly and informative. They are still one of the most customer service oriented stores our family shops. People will still help you in the shoe department. And once I took a costume jewelry chain that was very tangled of my then little girls. This used to be my favorite store. Seriously made me happy every time I would come in. Unfortunately under Covid they have become a dumpster fire of a store. Previously the main issue has been shoppers pushing the bounds with the masking rules, but it is a big store so I cut them slack. I've shopped when it's empty or ordered delivery so we could buy our favorite items there still. Today however the customer service desk made it absolutely clear they support anti-mask customers over those following the rules and expecting the same consideration in return. An entire group without masks were occupying an entire aisle for more than 10 minutes (or all night, who knows, I gave up at that point). My mother had asked the group where their masks were and one got very aggressive with her. Management said they could not intervene, nor did they offer to get the items she needed from the aisle, or assist in any way. They affirmed the other shoppers "right to privacy" and said they were not authorized to refuse them service. My patience ran out, I am sorry to say, but in continued discussion, it became clear that the store is actively prejudiced against those for whom wearing a mask is both a priority and a necessity. They are also completely ignorant of the actual legal ramifications, citing the ridiculous and debunked HIPPA excuse. It may sound crazy to say it broke my heart, but it did. I've spent a lot of money there and to be so blatantly lied to and disrespected was beyond disappointing. I am sorry for the good employees who work there that the management is so ignorant and careless of their safety. read more

We are new to the area (North Spokane) yet not new to COVID-19 regulations. We shopped at Fred Meyers today on Division Street. More the just a few customers decided that it was just to much to wear their masks. I understand that the small female employee at the door asking people to wear their masks is what a store may think is sufficient to comply yet it is not. Spokane is considered a hotspot at the moment for infection rate and private stores enforcing a mandatory mask policy is one of our first defense. Division Street location is the only Fred Meyer that allows people to continue to shop once they are in the store not wearing a mask. It truly is simple no mask no shop. The few dollars you lose is less then being designated as a super spreader location and having no one shop. Fred Meyer you need to mandate everyone in your busy stores wear a mask. We will not be shopping here until they mandate not ask their customers to comply. read more

Shopped at this FM for a long time since I lived nearby, thankfully have since moved to an area with more pleasant grocery shopping options. The organization of this store is abysmal, with products of the same type (ex: eggs, butter, milk, haircare, etc.) on different aisles far from each other simply because some options are considered "green." Really foolish, it made shopping very frustrating. If I'm looking at where eggs are in your store I want to see all the eggs available to make my selection, not select the best option based on what's there and then on a different aisle see more types of eggs, lol. Really bizarre. Just put them all next to each other and mark the "green" options with a green tag or something. Furthermore, during the mask mandate, this place was a super spreader event every time. Loads of belligerent inconsiderate dingleberries in there maskless and nobody making any attempt to enforce mandates or assist anyone with health concerns. Never enough checkout lanes open, lines going all the way down aisles, even for the self checkout stations. Children crying, people getting aggressive, staff hating their lives - somehow it always feels like the apocalypse in this FM. Switched to grocery pickup as a result of the aforementioned gripes and bc it's easier as someone with a physical disability but they would always say they are out of items and then I would find them inside (any household item, forget it, their staff can't be bothered to walk to that side of the store to see if there are trash bags or tampons, or to offer a substitution despite there obviously being multiple options for these sort of things), or the order would be missing items, or have someone else's items (like thanks for the free Uncle Ben rice but like... no thanks, and sorry to whoever actually wanted it), and the produce they give you in pickup orders should be considered a human rights violation. Bruised, overripe and underripe, banged up, one time we got carrots that were straight up expired and liquefying inside. Kind of ableist to give the customers who do grocery pickup the dregs and expired items or make them get out of their vehicle and come in anyway because you can't be bothered to look for an item or offer a substitution. A solution to all of these issues except the organizational chaos would be to hire more workers and attract more experienced workers with better pay to adequately run the store, but then I suppose that would take money out of the bigwigs pockets and thus will never happen. I went to FM for the first time today as they carry a product that no one else in town does. (Love eggs, but you're a vegetarian or they just gross you out? I'm both and I miss them!) There's a new product out called J U S T Egg that is 100% egg free ! Guess what I'm having for lunch and dinner!) The problem is that there is no shelf space for it (BOO HISS, Freddie) in the egg section and you' ll have to be lucky enough to find a dedicated associate ,like I did, to go in the back fridge to find it for you. DO NOT BUY COLLECTIBLE TOYS from this store or ANY store across the nation!!! They charge anywhere from $2 to $11 over the retail price depending on the genre of the figure and than the actual retail listed by the manufacturer. For example: The Multiverse Marvel, WW, JL, etc. figures are $19.99 retail but Fred Meyer (FM) changes $22.99. Voltron lions are $17.59 at Wal-Mart and FM charges around $23. Star Wars 40th Anniversary Black Series oversized remake action figures retail were $19.99 and FM charged $22.99. The list is long and I can go on with several other toys, not just collectibles, that are way overpriced. Every $2 to $11 more they gain, that is $2 to $11 a customer is ripped off paying more for a toy than what the retail market price factually is. read more

Although if you're in a small car, reaching to get the container to put your prescription into (and then reaching back again to get the medicine) can be tricky There's a stupid phone you need to use to talk with the pharmacist, that's REALLY hard to use if you want to stay in your car . In regards to groceries they are definitely on the higher end of pricing, but they have an awesome staff, and great customer service. A few months ago we were in the produce section, and there was a weird hybrid fruit I had never heard of... So I asked the produce person there. I'm writing this review based on my latest experience with the deli, not the whole store itself. I would like to say that I've shopped here for years with my parents and now by myself and have never had any big problems. But I have to say getting food poisoning certainly changes things. I ordered a turkey sandwich (I believe it was called The Sullivan) on a baguette at about 1:00. By 6:00 I started feeling not great and the rest of the night went down from there. (This was also the last thing I had eaten and felt totally fine before lunch.) When eating the sandwich at lunch, I thought that maybe it had just been in the glass cabinet too long, it tasted different but not bad or anything. They get one star because no one deserves to have spend the night with their head in the toilet because of a cheap sandwich. It will be while if ever I go back to the deli for lunch break. read more
