Terrible honor system here. My kid got some cash from his grandma to pick out a toy & we go to target he finds a lego toy he wanted. We go to checkout and the price doesn't reflect on what they were advertising it for so we call for assistance at self checkout with an older lady named Patty. Patty asks us what the item was priced at and we tell her $10. She then rolls her eyes and says "$10 ?" Like a 'yeah, okay' response. She says she'll need to verify the price but then says she can't leave the checkout and tells us her supervisor says the price it rang up as was correct. I go back & take a picture of the item and shelf because Patty basically just called me a liar & go to self checkout to see someone named Mia. Mia checks the item for us and sees that the price isn't matching up either and I show her the picture I took of the fully stocked shelf of the toy & price. Mia tells me that someone stocked the toy under the wrong tag and that the price is listed for an 'LOL' toy that isn't even there. She didn't honor her advertised price & I decide to take my business elsewhere after being treated poorly. Target usually has a good selection of items for every day home shopping needs. With the added grocery area you can knock a lot of items off your list. They also have good specials on seasonal items. On our last visit just prior to Easter they were selling large eggs 2dozen for $1. Target also has one of the better greeting card selections in town. One thing I've learned is that you can almost always find cheaper pricing on their own website. If you're willing to spend the time looking they will match those prices in the store. One downside is the way the checkout lines are set up with offset registers. During holiday rush people tend to get very confused about where to be standing. read more

The pharmacy has horrible staff. I stopped to get my husband some allergy medication. I needed over the counter ones and she was so snotty and irritated. Shopping around the store and other staff is great. I stopped at the starbucks inside to get my daughter the studded rainbow cup and she was oh so sweet. If you need anything from the pharmacy do not come here for those needs. read more

I got treated like a criminal when all I wanted to do was return some cheap ink cartridriges. Target personnel has lost its mind. Whatever you guys do, do not buy electronic equipment here. Target does not honor returns. When their junk breaks, you're on your own. Unbelievably rude customer service, telling me how many times I had been in the store, watching me come in and out, and refusing my return. Another checker accused me of cutting in line when in fact, I did not. There's something foul in the air here. I'm going to start shopping elsewhere. Building is absolutely beautiful after the new remodels, and the makeup/beauty department is splendid, but during today's trip there wasn't any clean carts so me and my elderly mother had to carry our stuff across the store and cut our visit short. :( read more

We all love Target - I mean this location alone is huge. My favorite section is the books section, truly - they organize it and the bestsellers always rope me in. Biggest Weakness: The concessions are always my favorite. I actually like the layout in terms of the aisles and how easy it is to get a hold of an associate if you need one. The seasonal items selection is awesome. My son of course is obsessed with the toy aisle and there are so many. The Northside Target - a great way to get lost in an afternoon. read more

Can we say cluttered, much? I stopped into this location because I needed to pick up a few items I forgot to pack for my quick weekend getaway for my BFF's wedding. The discounted area was a complete mess. Looked like people had just ransacked it and no one bothered to come clean it up. Toys were the same way. I guess since it's Christmas shopping season, the employees just wait until close to closing to clean up?? That's what it seemed like. The baby section was difficult to maneuver with a cart because the racks were so close together. Turned me off from browsing so I picked up what I needed and got the heck out of that area. The layout of the store could definitely be improved. At least there were plenty of registers opened. Also nice to have employees ring you up without pressuring you to open up a Target Red card to save 5% on all of your purchases. I didn't get any coupons this trip, which I found interesting. I usually get some kind of coupon with every purchase, even if I'm just buying a toothbrush! read more

This is my favorite target store to shop at. It's just always stocked. They have a great variety of avengers and ninja turtles. Being a mom of boys that live and aspire to be action figures (lol) this is the best place to go especially during Christmas season. The bathrooms are always disgusting, broken down and obviously rarely cleaned. I would not trust that the machinery and counter tops are cleaned properly in the snack bar area. I've been reading other reviews of this Target and I'm a bit flummoxed by the 'filthy and dirty' comments. I've never used the bathroom here, so I can't judge that. Target is a discount store, so I expect very little as far as service goes. This isn't Nordstrom. I have asked where something is and get a polite reply and I've never met a person at the checkout area who was rude or anything but nice. I only gave it four stars because nothing is perfect. I don't do a great deal of grocery shopping here, but they carry certain types of food at decent prices, that I need. I have food allergies, so have to be picky. I'm thankful they carry it. I use the pharmacy and am amazed that they usually know my name. I really have no complaints. read more

I love target. However, I sadly can't say I LOVE this one. I am so used to having an idea of where I will be going once inside the store - not so with this one. It is so... frankly it's odd! It reminds me of a flustered old lady trying to gather all her things in an ordered fashion, and failing. I can tell they tried to get a decent layout, but I am just thrown into different departments I don't want to be in. Walking into the store, you are immediately in the apparel section. Now don't get me wrong I love getting deals on their things, but sometimes I have an issue with buying things I don't necessarily "need" but think for that price it is something I could always use. If you need to get electronics, be prepared to wear your walking shoes because it isn't exactly close to...well, anything! That, or order off a website! To make a long story short, this target could do well with a designer who knows how to design a store layout. read more

If I could give this place no stars I would!! This target discriminate against plus sized people. I was shopping for a swim suit for my sister and they had none in plus sizes!!! Also on top of that I call a head of time before going so they could put 2 floating tubes on hold for me because they only had a few left and they said yes, but when I got there to get them they not only did not put them on hold they didn't have any and that was the whole purpose of going to target the swimming suits were just if they had some! Having lived in Minneapolis where there are dozens and dozens of Targets (they are headquartered there), I've seen a lot of them. This one is pretty OK, but nothing great. I find the layout of the store to be irritating. You walk in, and you're in the clothes section. You have to walk damn near half the store until you get to something other than clothing type crap. With other Targets, I've found the layout to be a bit more friendly. The movies and TV they have in stock is actually woeful compared to many other stores I've seen. Aside from that, it's stocked pretty well on most other things I've seen. I happily shop here when I'm on the North side of Spokane. read more

They did have the particular CD I'd been looking for, so while it took forever to find it, I was elated when I finally did. And then I picked up a couple more because they were on sale. I needed help replacing my mother's cell phone at the Consumer Cellular service department at the North Division Target in Spokane. I was sorely disappointed in the lack of service. I understand that services are limited during the time of Covid, but the only appointments they provide are during the work day. So if you work and are unable to set an appointment before 3:00 pm you are out of luck. Even the national Consumer Cellular representatives couldn't schedule an appointment ... even during their limited customer service hours. And, when I complained about the limited hours, the tubby Target representative got mouthy with me. Avoid the Target electronics department if at all possible. I've made a complaint to Consumer Cellular, but I doubt anything will change. read more

This is less about Target and more to do with the shopping app, but I was very frustrated with the lack of service provided by the North Spokane Target. I placed an order for delivery, and was told the groceries would arrive no later than 12:00. 1:00 rolls around and I see the app has updated the time to 2:00. At 2:00 the time was updated to 4:00, then 5:00, then 7:00, now 8:00. I checked my email to verify nothing was cancelled at 1:30 in the afternoon - due to the holiday rush, but no messages so I thought I could trust the app. I tried calling the store after 6:00 to verify but the phone just rang until disconnecting me. I tried several times to get through, to multiple departments. I realize they are very busy with the holiday, so I'm not particularly upset about the inability to get through to a person on the phone. What I AM frustrated with is the app clearly makes it appear that the order is still in place, and the delivery time is just being pushed out. I checked my email a little while ago and received a message just before 2:00 that my order was cancelled. No text, no message through the app. One might argue I should have checked my email again later, but I would argue the purpose of having an app that updates should be to have accurate information available. This thing never said anything was canceled, and I spent all day waiting for it. This is a problem that needs to be fixed, if they want people to use that service. I'm glad I paid the one-time-only fee for service because I will not be using it again. read more

If I could give 0 stars for the customer service I received through target.com I would! We ordered a new car seat for our child who has out grown his current seat. On targets app it says it was ordered and shipped on jan 17 to be delivered on 1/20, however through fedex delivery was 1/21. No updates were posted through fedex on this order supposedly coming from Georgia. On 1/22 I had still not received this item. I contacted target.com to inform them that fedex states they had not yet received this package to ship yet target website says they shipped it on 1/17. When I spoke to them and had to go through several different people to get any helpful information other than to use the tracking number that I had already used to tell me the information that I JUST provided them. I was told that since the package was not 48 hours past the anticipated delivery date nothing could be done. I called back today (48+hrs) and was basically told they still had no idea where it was or if it had been shipped. I had the choice to reorder or get it refunded on gift cards. They would NOT expedite the shipment, discount the shipment, not refund my money, or otherwise do ANYTHING that would be similar to customer service. Now I have to wait for another 7-10 days to get a car seat to keep my growing child safe. I will not be shopping at target after this experience. How hard is it to do SOMETHING to make it right for a customer? read more

This is my favorite Target in Spokane, I really don't like the layout of the valley store, and it is much too small. I like to just stick to my northside one even though it's a bit of a drive up there for me, I still prefer to do it, I know where everything is, we can get some starbucks for energy on the way in, get the kids some popcorn and we're off! It's clean, well stocked, and the employees have always been friendly to me and my family. For our household needs and a few other items here and there Target is def my place to go. read more

Employee morale must be very low here lately. Last few trips have made me question my Target loyalty. While checking out tonight, I asked the cashier a rhetorical question about my Cartwheel app ("hmmm, I wonder if it's possible to see my history of purchases or coupons in here."). She said, "I have no idea. I don't even shop here." She continued scanning my items silently and switched her light off to signal her check stand was closed while there were 2 people in line behind me. She didn't acknowledge them. They hesitated then took the hint and found another line (they all had at least 2 -3 customers in line). As I was putting my card back in my wallet after paying, she logged out, said "don't forget your two bags down there on the floor" and disappeared. No good night, good bye, thanks for coming in or at least making sure I had all of my items before she bailed. I asked the guy in the next stand over what her name was and he said "uhhh, I don't even know." Nice, Target. read more

We went shopping today and there were too many employees stocking products at noon and chatting with each other, with carts and pallets in almost every single aisle. We couldn't even go through to get what we were needing. In the end we went to pay few things and the cashier didn't even smile or say Hi. If you are looking do an iPhone 5S cover, you will have a far better selection of quality products. If you go to a speciality retailer you may miss quality at a good price. read more

I was asking her about a product, and price exchange, and she told me if I wanted it cheaper to just go to that business and purchase it because losing a customer wouldn't hurt target. I am utterly and completely disgusted with this store and it's employees. The 70% off clothing sales are insane, this is not Nordstrom's. I was in need of assistance during my visit in two different departments and was treated like a complete inbecile. And in fact I personally had to walk all over the store to find an employee to assist me. The customer service is appalling and down right disrespectful. I took the couple of items I gathered to the check out, after about 3min of waiting, I was asked how I was paying to which I responded via Target gift card, I was then informed that the gift card processing machine was down and had been all day. I call bullshit, as I had visited the S Hill Target just an hour prior and had no issues. Because this Newport Highway store is filled with a bunch of asshole customer service people and a faulty card processor, my grandson now has to suffer, as I was not able to purchase the gifts that he asked for. He is going to be completely devastated and will wonder why he couldn't get these items for Xmas even though he has been an amazing wonderful kid who is always on his best behavior. I nor any of my family members and friends WILL NEVER EVER SHOP AT THIS TARGET EVER AGAIN. And I'll have to be the one to explain to my 8yr old grandson why he could not get those three items that he so desperately wanted. I'm so upset about this and will be sure to share my horrible experience with EVERYONE I know.
