Fred Meyer One Stop Shopping

Fred Meyer One Stop Shopping

Fred Meyer is our favorite store. You know you can pretty much find whatever you need there. Its…read morethe place we are most likely to hit for supplies while traveling in WA or OR. This is a very nice Fred Meyer, nicer than my home store on the other side of the mountains. They have a whole set aside section for liquor and it even has a bar! The aisles seem more generously spaced here than in a lot of Fred Meyers and their specialty foods section seems larger. We stop here at least 1x every visit to Spokane!

I placed an online catering order over $200 well in advance for my daughter's baby shower on April 1st. After submitting it, I heard nothing -- no confirmation call, no follow-up. So TWO DAYS before the event, I drove there in person because I was worried. That's when I found out they never even checked their email. It took over 30 minutes for the manager Syd and her team to locate my order. At that point, they told me several items were no longer carried or made. I picked replacement items for the salads and meats right there, face to face. They assured me everything was good to go. I left feeling relieved. The morning of the baby shower -- two hours before pickup -- a man named Matthew left me a voicemail saying they only had the sandwich platter, fruit platter, and veggie platter. That's it. No apology. No suggestions. No solutions. Just a voicemail dropping a bomb on the day of my family's event. And when I picked up the sandwich platter? The bag of lettuce they handed me was brown and slimy -- visibly rotting through the packaging. They handed it to me anyway and said nothing. This is my LOCAL store. My family shops here regularly. I trusted these people with an important family milestone and they couldn't have cared less. No accountability. No urgency. No effort. Do not order catering from the Fred Meyer deli on Sprague Avenue. They will take your order, confirm it, and fail you completely when it matters most.

Went to…read morereturn the dress the next day and said they weren't allowed to do a return due to "dirt" on the dress. There was no dirt on the dress lol not to mention that I bet half of the stuff there is covered in dirt due to it being knocked onto the floor and put back up to sell. Prices are great home decor is great customer service and friendliness of the staff is terrible and not worth it. Only 1 cashier who was clearly in training and a full line of people a older lady said she would be there to help in a second and never showed up beside to say I couldn't have a refund staff/manager is clearly money hungry

Dishonest business practices. I checked out with my own bag. The cashier asked me if I wanted a…read morebag. I clearly said no, as I hate paying for bags. Its a stupid law crammed down peoples throats by politicians. The cashier silently added the bag fee anyway. I paid and just as I saw the receipt I saw the bag fee. I said I didn't want a bag, refund the fee. The manager said they can't do that. They will charge you a bag fee whether you want it or not, and they will not refund it. They claim there's no way to do it. But that's not the way retail works. Anything put in can be taken out. Manager said patronizingly "well sir its not a big deal, its just 8 cents.". Nice of her to trivialize my finances. Terrible customer service. Will not shop the chain again. Manager was entirely unwilling to fix her cashiers mistake, at customers' expense. Terrible store.

Spokane Valley Mall

This mall is surprisingly large... And surprisingly... Alive?…read more Stepping into this mall is a little bit like stepping into a time warp. I haven't been to a mall that was this full in a number of years. Not only were there a lot of people, but there weren't very many empty storefronts. Which I feel is a rarity in recent years. Like I said the small is absolutely huge. The parking lot is huge. It takes quite a bit to walk around the whole mall and see all of the shops. They have all the standard shops that you would expect: Pandora, Macy's, Hot topic, Spencer's gifts, there's even a great board game store. So why four stars instead of five? There are two main reasons for this. The first reason is that while there are a lot of stores, and there are the majority of the stores that you would expect, the mall is missing a few key stores that are needed. Specifically a toy store. There are several stores in the mall that have a small toy selection, but there isn't a store in the mall that just sells toys, and just sells like Legos. A LEGO store would be a great addition to any mall, I don't know if the Spokane Valley Mall is large enough to warrant the Lego store, but this mall needs a toy store. There is a Toys R Us section in the Macy's, but it's one of the smallest Toys R Us sections I've seen in any Macy's I've been in. Oh! And there's a great indoor playground at the end of the mall that you have to pay for. But there's also a great free play place down by the indoor playground. Both are good options for small kids. The second thing that brings this mall from four stars to five stars is the food court. I get that food courts are a weird proposition in 2025, but the pickings here are pretty slim. And other than Sbarro there's none of the staples that you would expect from a food court, although there is a cinnabon located elsewhere in the mall. There's also a large movie theater right by the mall, which is nice, it's also surrounded by a bunch of other stores that you're probably looking to shop at like Old Navy, Barnes & Noble, Dick's sporting goods. It's also surrounded by a bunch of restaurants like Red Robin, Buffalo wild wings, black house steakhouse. So if you're looking for a good mall experience definitely check this mall out. Don't forget to stop by my favorite store uncle's games.

I've been coming to this mall for several years now and I've seen a lot of stores come and go. In…read morecomparison to the NorthTown Mall which is located on Division, I feel this mall is far superior. It has two levels and you don't see a lot of vacant spots as you do with the NorthTown Mall. There is also a decent selection of stores and plenty of parking all around the mall. There isn't a parking garage but that doesn't seem to bother me. It does have a food court and also plenty of restrooms. On weekends it can get pretty busy which is actually a good thing considering malls have become less popular over the years. I still prefer to shop in person than online for most things. As far as cleanliness, they do a great job of keeping this place clean. It's not a huge mall by any means, but it does have a decent selection of stores and is a great place to come and pass the time away.

What we did NOT know was that we had done so TWO DAYS LATE... so they tacked on a late fee. KOHL'S DID NOT TELL US THIS while in store. We thought we had completely paid off the card... because we used the phrase "we'd like to completely pay off the card." So, imagine our surprise to receive a bill in the mail for ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS in LATE FEES... which we were NOT TOLD ABOUT... because, silly us, we were under the impression that "we'd like to completely pay off the card" meant that we had completely paid off the card. NOPE. Once we FINALLY got through to an actual customer service representative, we explained the situation... and the customer service person provided NO ACTUAL SERVICE. She said she could remove 40.00 of the late fees... which she did not actually do. DO NOT USE A KOHL'S CARD. Their policies do not make sense. If you tell a cashier in a store that you'd like to completely pay off your Kohl's Card... be ware that you might not have ACTUALLY have done so. BAD FORM, Kohl's ... BAD FORM. We have deleted our card, and obviously won't be shopping there again.

I have shopped at JCPenneys for years. I've always had a good customer experience until today…read more I was in the women's dept and grabbed 2 items off of a sale table advertising $19.99 each (I thought nice as these items were usually $40 each). When I got to the register I was charged full price. I explained they were on sale... the sales clerk was nice and went to look. She came back and stated these items were not on sale and must have been placed there by accident (ok, I thought I know this happens). After paying for the items, I went back over to the table. I confirmed that the whole middle counter was the same brand I had just purchased.... and this counter was where the sale sign was. I could understand if someone had mistakenly placed one item on the counter; but this was not the case. I was angry at being lied to, however, I politely turned to the clerk standing there and said they needed to remove the sale sign. When she asked why, I stated that it was false advertising as I was just told these items were not on sale and I was just charged full price. She said let me take a look. I didn't have time to wait, and told her so, and reiterated that it was false advertising. Very disappointed Penneys.... its called integrity. Wonder how many others thought they were getting a good sale and ended up paying full price...
