We had shopped with a Kohl's Card, and bought some clothes. While at the store, we told the cashier we'd like to completely PAY OFF the Kohl's card bill. We did so, and headed home. What we did NOT know was that we had done so TWO DAYS LATE... so they tacked on a late fee. KOHL'S DID NOT TELL US THIS while in store. We thought we had completely paid off the card... because we used the phrase "we'd like to completely pay off the card." So, imagine our surprise to receive a bill in the mail for ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS in LATE FEES... which we were NOT TOLD ABOUT... because, silly us, we were under the impression that "we'd like to completely pay off the card" meant that we had completely paid off the card. NOPE. Once we FINALLY got through to an actual customer service representative, we explained the situation... and the customer service person provided NO ACTUAL SERVICE. She said she could remove 40.00 of the late fees... which she did not actually do. DO NOT USE A KOHL'S CARD. Their policies do not make sense. If you tell a cashier in a store that you'd like to completely pay off your Kohl's Card... be ware that you might not have ACTUALLY have done so. BAD FORM, Kohl's ... BAD FORM. We have deleted our card, and obviously won't be shopping there again. read more

The store has ample parking , inside and outside is always clean, they have a nice selection of clothing, and the sales associates are friendly. They just don't seem to have enough help working in the store. Most times I visit, it's not the busy season (or store hours), but I have to hunt down an associate. Again, they always seem short staffed. read more

Lena at this Kohls is welcoming, helpful and a delight to be checked put by. She explained how the Kohls bucks work which Ive not been using. She encouraged me to download the app then showed me how to navigate the website with deals!!! Her cheerfulness makes me eager to return to this store. What a great experience! Every employee I walked past said hello and smiled. The purpose of my visit was to return some items for Amazon, which was also a great experience. One of my favorite thing about any Kohl's store. They leave enough room between displays and clothing racks that you can actually get through and look at what you are trying to buy. I really wish more stores would figure this out. That's right, Macy's, I'm looking at you. Anyway, I also have had really good experience with all the staff at this store. Very friendly and very helpful. The only thing I would like them to do is quit trying to get me to sign up for a Kohl's card even after I said "No thanks" the first two times. I know they are getting pushed by the company to do that, but seriously, one no should be enough. Other than the things I mentioned, I like this store. The manager is rude, as a past employee you are not allowed to have a relationship at all, even if you don't even talk to the person at work, there was people who were extremely rude and no one cared about you or your job. read more

I was so disappointed when shopping with my teenagers. I had $400 worth of stuff to buy. As the store was closing 2 employees were so rude to us, basically kicking us out of the store. We left the store, after checking out, within 15 minutes after closing but due to the rudeness of this employee my sweet teen daughter never wants to go back to Kohl's! (Could have been a lifetime customer). I understand people want to leave at the end of the day but we were actively leaving and even stopped to put things back on the racks instead of leaving it in the dressing room for an employee to put away! I was telling my daughter it would be ok because we were trying to hurry and the manager snapped at me that 'they leave the minute that we leave.' Insinuating that we were keeping them at the store after hours. It's not acceptable to me for anyone to over hear my quiet conversation and correct me in front of my children! We were walking to the check out, not lingering or still shopping! I did not comment back to him! I will avoid this store next time we need clothes or households. Just shop online! It's a shame because I love Kohls but for goodness sake to be so rude within 5 minutes after store closing is just not acceptable! Especially when we were trying to be nice and help them out by placing stuff back on the racks! And leaving quickly. read more

Have been in multiple times this holiday season shopping for gifts and every time there are many employees having side conversations that have nothing to do with work. One even talking trash about another coworker. Not trying to act like it doesn't happen anywhere else but I find it incredibly unprofessional and honestly annoying. When in the racks I had a girl ask "can I help you with anything?" But not even look at me and never stop walking. Since there was no one around me I could assume she was talking to me. Another just stared at me until I said hello to break the awkwardness. I feel more training needs to be implemented and managers expressing that these conversations need to happen in private. As well as simple things that take no time but make your customers feel valued. read more

Buying a Kohl's gift card is not like using cash.There are "rules" you won't know about until you try to use the Kohl gift card that you paid for. You can't use it to pay your bill. The money you paid for it no longer the US currency you paid with. If the item you need is not in stock don't expect to use a discount and the Kohl's gift card purchase on-line. Use your Kohl's credit card because the Kohl's gift card has no value there. I wonder if you walk into a Kohl's store and asked for a written copy of of the "rules" before purchasing a Kohl's gift card if there is a concise document? Or, it's left up to the customer to go to Kohl's on the internet and find info. I think Kohl's should be a more customer friendly when it come to the money invested purchasing in Kohl's. read more

I was taking back a pair of shoes I purchased on amazon, I called ahead and talked to a nice lady said yes they take Amazon sketchers returns and also give a 20 % off coupon for in store returns, I told her I bought them on Amazon and did not have a receipt, she said no problem when you come in we will help you through the process for the return via your phone. So I took the shoes in for return and this very young red head girl rudley told me I had to go to Amazon and fill out the return form because they may not be a return store, I said that's why I called ahead to make sure I could return the shoes . she huffingling said you need to go to Amazon, I said again the lady on the phone said an associate would help me through the process, and she said with a attitude that's what I'm helping you with I'm like no you were not, so I pull up my Amazon account with her help and kohl's is not a return center, and she says in a snippy voice like I told you so, make sure in the future you check. I said once again that's why I called first. I work in customer service and know how many mistakes can happen within the structure and I realize her being in returns is very stressful read more

I've always enjoyed the store it's usually clean and there a handful of employees that truly love their job BUT their return process has become increasingly frustrating...... **I bought a pair of super comfy shorts and the butt seam tore in the washer so I went in and after 30 mins I came out with a new pair... two weeks later the new pair, the button completely tore off. I took them in with receipt and tags.. it should have been a simple in and out. The man who helped me mad the comment "the button tore out so they must have been 'pore' stitching" the way he said it made me feel he was accusing me of buying too small of shorts for my body-honestly it hurt. I asked him why I couldn't get cash back since I've bought now two pairs and they are just not good quality he said I had to have in store credit, he "couldn't" override the option.. I used to love kohls for how friendly and helpful employees were, for nice clothes and kitchen department and for amazing deals I used to get there every time! I was shopping there a lot, always had cashbacks, different discounts and kohls would always combine it all and give me 15% off on top of that for using my credit card. So when I went there last time and I was going to purchase a water bottle. I grabbed it from a discount shelf (reg price 16.99- discounted 8.99) On the cashier register I found out that that particular bottle was 16.99 and they don't give you discount when you use your credit card anymore. I got very disappointed. I used to go there for all the amazing deals and now they took it all away. Without discounts kohls is very overpriced. read more

Today was the second time I've picked my order up and had the employee roll her eyes at me when I ask for a bag for my item(s). I come in with a two and a half year old, and a one year old. I carry my one year old and hold the toddler's hand. Asking for a bag with a handle for my order isn't a crazy request and I don't at all understand why it's an issue because give all customers a bag if they buy anything up front, so why is it so crazy for me to ask for one for my online order? I don't understand why customer service workers aren't nice like they used to be. I find good deals at Kohls, but I'd rather go somewhere else and pay more and get treated right than pay less and have associates roll their eyes at me when I accidentally "inconvenience" them. Also, they send you an email when you're order is ready and give you the option to let them know when you're coming so that they can pull your order and have it ready at the desk, so I did that, and they didn't have it pulled haha. Which isn't a big deal, but I don't know why they say they'll have it ready if they actually won't. If you don't care how you're treated and just want a good deal, Kohl's is the place for you! If you want good deals and to be treated better, I'd explore your department store options. read more
