This T.J. Maxx typically leaves you with a cart full of stuff that you just can't seem to let go of! My family and I are always finding cute knickknacks, doo-dads, and overall very useful items that simply make the heart happy. The bathrooms are generally pretty icky, and this is one area where the employees at this location could definitely improve. The customer service is also mixed. I've had horrible experiences with employees that left me baffled and extremely disappointed, barely palpable and non-memorable interactions that were negative or neutral, and a very small number of genuinely pleasant exchanges with certain employees. The pricing is standard for T.J. Maxx which means expensive and quickly adds up. Overall, I'd still recommend checking this location out for the fun of finding something cute and unique. Just be mindful of the sharks for employees! read more

Tj Maxx - T.J.maxx (unexpected product find) - Department Stores Near Me - Coeur D Alene, Idaho

12.9.25: First time in at this location and it was filled with holiday shoppers, which was to be expected during this time of year. I came here specifically looking for a new suitcase that's decent sized and under $100 bucks. This TJ Maxx had a corner section of just luggages and all different sizes. Their selection was bigger than I expected, with both soft and hard shell cases, and the price ranges were pretty good and fair. I found a Lucas brand light-weight (not familiar with this brand) semi-hard shell case with 2-inch expander and 360 wheels for $80 bucks. The inside had a full zip enclosure with 2 zip pouches and 2 scrunch pockets, which was what I was looking for. Check-out line was kinda long but again to be expected during holiday season. With that said, I noticed employees worked diligently and kept the line moving. read more

Tj Maxx - It's their glow up sign and makes me excited to see it knowing all the goodies and deals inside!! - Department Stores Near Me - Coeur D Alene, Idaho

I haven't visited this store in a good six months because during my last visit, I was so disgusted with the cluttered aisles with UnHung merchandise and the filthy dressing rooms that I decided to make the long drive to the Spokane Valley location. Now on a whim I decided to stop by and found that they have re-organized the entire store, but unfortunately, not for the better! It may be a little cleaner and I didn't find the aisles cluttered, which is a good thing because now they are so narrow to shoppers can barely make it through the aisles. Additionally, the amount of merchandise has diminished and the clothes on the racks are spread out to make it look like there are a lot of garments when really there is not! Kind of reminds me as a kid of spreading my peas around on my plate to make it look like I had eaten them when I really hadn't. They've just spread their garments around to make it look like they have more. Don't know that I will return anytime soon, but will continue to make the trip to Spokane Valley store which has a greater selection of clothing and other home items. Sorry, CDA TJ Maxx you still need improvement! read more

I do like this store and I feel like it has high quality stuff at reasonable prices. I buy a lot of kitchen items and pet items here. That being said, it seems like recently a lot of their stuff isn't priced. Today I went in to buy a dog bed for my parents new dog. Very few of the dog beds had prices on them. I then went and looked at some Halloween items and they were not priced either. I mentioned it to the cashier, and she just kind of laughed it off and said they aren't very good at putting prices on things. Ok, she's young so I'll let that slide. I do hope she mentions it to her manager. read more

I went there the day they opened after Covid-19 and I was so impressed with the managers and all the employees. The manager was so fun and constantly wondered the store making sure people didn't need anything. The employees had amazing attitudes and were clearly happy to be back at work. I got asked probably 4-5 times if I was doing ok or needed anything. It was a great shopping experience. Thanks for having great management at this store, it is clear that you do just by your employees attitudes. read more

No one EVER answers the phone. What's the point of giving out a phone number when you don't answer or even have a system that answers to give you choices of hours, directions, departments, etc. You can NEVER talk to a real person. What gives????? read more

I absolutely love TJmaxx and everyone that works at this establishment! A couple of weeks ago I was in the store looking for clothing and baby stuff for my daughters newborn baby, and I asked this girl her name was Taylor C. (I saw it on her name tag) to help me pick out the new and trendy baby clothing for my daughter and she was SO helpful! She knew exactly what to show me and we found some of the cutest baby items for my daughter! If it wasn't for her i'd probably be in there for hours trying to find something! read more

I have been a Tj Maxx shopper for years. I have shopped locally to help the businesses in our area when I can. But after what went down the other day, I will shop at the Valley one for sure! I purchased a pair of shoes and wore them for about a half hour around my house. Within that time frame I developed a huge blister from them. So I took them off and the next day I took them back to the Coeur d';Alene store. The cashier asked me if I wore them and I told her for about a half hour at my home. She said, "oh I have to check with the manager". I said fine. The manager was on the phone so I had to wait about 10 minutes! She comes over and said, "I'm sorry we cannot take back worn shoes." I looked at her and said, "I wore them for a half hour around my house! They are not worn and clearly defective as they gave me a huge blister! Also, when you looked at the bottom of the shoe, it was clean! I could not believe that they would not take the shoes back. Then the manager suggested that I take them to the Spokane store, they might take them back there! Seriously?? I just walked away after that. So the next day I drove all the way to the Valley store, walked in put the shoes on the counter and the cashier asked if I had worn them and I said yes. She looked at the bottom and said "really, they look brand new". I laughed and said, yes I wore them for a half an hour around my house until they gave me a blister. She immediately apologized and asked if I wanted cash or back on my debit card! So to the manager of the Coeur d'Alene Tj Maxx-shame on you for making a good customer drive to another store. I would not be writing this review if I did not feel the manager was in the wrong!!!!!! read more
