I questioned it, with the owner, who happened to be at the store. I was later told that the manager said I only received credit for the money I spent and would not be receiving the money that I earned in their so called loyalty program back. After having spent $1,000 at their store over the years, I apparently received a $50 credit to use at checkout. I was so excited as I didn't even know it existed! When I brought one of the items back that I purchased, to get a store credit, so I could get something else from their store, the manager said that I was given a "gift" of $50 and lost that when I brought the item back. It would have been nice of them to tell me I could exchange it for the same amount that was spent, but they never said anything. I'm not sure how they figure that into their "loyalty" credit, but was saddened by the disloyalty I received after having shopped there for so many years. They apparently care more about keeping $50 than they do earning $1,000. I still can't wrap my head around it. However, it left such a bad taste in my mouth that I won't be giving them my business. It's a small town and word gets around, when customers aren't treated with respect. As their sister store, Sage, is run by the same family, I also won't be supporting their business anymore. Sad day, as Just Because was my favorite boutique in the area.

The bathrooms are generally pretty icky, and this is one area where the employees at this location could definitely improve. The customer service is also mixed. I've had horrible experiences with employees that left me baffled and extremely disappointed, barely palpable and non-memorable interactions that were negative or neutral, and a very small number of genuinely pleasant exchanges with certain employees. The pricing is standard for T.J. Maxx which means expensive and quickly adds up. Overall, I'd still recommend checking this location out for the fun of finding something cute and unique. Just be mindful of the sharks for employees!
