This mall is surprisingly large... And surprisingly... Alive? Stepping into this mall is a little bit like stepping into a time warp. I haven't been to a mall that was this full in a number of years. Not only were there a lot of people, but there weren't very many empty storefronts. Which I feel is a rarity in recent years. Like I said the small is absolutely huge. The parking lot is huge. It takes quite a bit to walk around the whole mall and see all of the shops. They have all the standard shops that you would expect: Pandora, Macy's, Hot topic, Spencer's gifts, there's even a great board game store. So why four stars instead of five? There are two main reasons for this. The first reason is that while there are a lot of stores, and there are the majority of the stores that you would expect, the mall is missing a few key stores that are needed. Specifically a toy store. There are several stores in the mall that have a small toy selection, but there isn't a store in the mall that just sells toys, and just sells like Legos. A LEGO store would be a great addition to any mall, I don't know if the Spokane Valley Mall is large enough to warrant the Lego store, but this mall needs a toy store. There is a Toys R Us section in the Macy's, but it's one of the smallest Toys R Us sections I've seen in any Macy's I've been in. Oh! And there's a great indoor playground at the end of the mall that you have to pay for. But there's also a great free play place down by the indoor playground. Both are good options for small kids. The second thing that brings this mall from four stars to five stars is the food court. I get that food courts are a weird proposition in 2025, but the pickings here are pretty slim. And other than Sbarro there's none of the staples that you would expect from a food court, although there is a cinnabon located elsewhere in the mall. There's also a large movie theater right by the mall, which is nice, it's also surrounded by a bunch of other stores that you're probably looking to shop at like Old Navy, Barnes & Noble, Dick's sporting goods. It's also surrounded by a bunch of restaurants like Red Robin, Buffalo wild wings, black house steakhouse. So if you're looking for a good mall experience definitely check this mall out. I've been coming to this mall for several years now and I've seen a lot of stores come and go. In comparison to the NorthTown Mall which is located on Division, I feel this mall is far superior. It has two levels and you don't see a lot of vacant spots as you do with the NorthTown Mall. There is also a decent selection of stores and plenty of parking all around the mall. There isn't a parking garage but that doesn't seem to bother me. It does have a food court and also plenty of restrooms. On weekends it can get pretty busy which is actually a good thing considering malls have become less popular over the years. I still prefer to shop in person than online for most things. As far as cleanliness, they do a great job of keeping this place clean. It's not a huge mall by any means, but it does have a decent selection of stores and is a great place to come and pass the time away. read more

Arrived through the upper level of Macys and then ended up at JC penny. Unfortunately the mall portion closed while in Pennys and resulted in us having to walk all the way around the outside of the mall. Yes, I can use the exercise, but this is really an inconvenience. We stopped by the mall today and hit up BESNY GOURMET. We had the Beef/Lamb Gyro and the truffle fries. They We both delicious. On top of the good food Jonathan was very friendly and gave a good reccomendation for sauce to dip the fries in. read more

This mall use to have soo many more and better stores in it.. not sure what happened but the selection is not that great anymore.. they have a few stores worth going to.. Spencer's, Hot Topic, Claire's, Forever 21.. Silver Safari... The food court has good food tho~ Ivar's Seafood, Taco Time, Sabarro Pizza, and some Chinese joint.. kinda like a Panda Express type where you pick a main and two sides, and also a bomb a$$ Mongolian Grill... oh yeah!! This really is a great mall for the area. It has survived the death of malls...so that is saying something. Upgrades including a carousel​ (the reason for the 3rd star...it is a really beautiful centerpiece) and library branch have helped maintain​ the numbers required to keep it up and running. There are still palm trees throughout the mall and the holiday decorations around Christmas are really festive. It is a great place to get some steps or meet up to spend an afternoon with friends. The stores are what you would expect from​ a standard retail mall anymore. That being said...the population it caters to is relatively standard as well. There are a lot of younger people shopping at any given time...and it tends to be really crowded on weekends. There isn't much else to say. The experience always seems really hectic and anti-climactic. Depending on what you are looking for...consider River Park Square as a more grown-up​ venture. read more

I come to here a lot, a long drive but it's probably one of the most populated malls in the world. Like there is 8 vacant spaces , compare that to north town. They also have a lot of cool things in the many stores that sell knickknacks and other things. Major attraction across the street from this mall: Nordstroms Rack! Only one in over 200 miles, so that bumps up the stars. Tip: skip the mall bathrooms if you just gotta go. Instead, find the them in Macy's. The bathrooms in the mall just aren't worth the wait in line. Pretty standard mall, missing a few stores. Check the directory before heading out, as you might decide to go elsewhere, like Northtown unless you need the Rack. read more

I recently visited this mall and was really impressed with how bright and light it was, with the atrium ceiling and all. In fact, so much light was filtering in, my kid and I needed to wear our sunglasses while walking around on the top/second floor. It was really bright! While exploring the mall lay-out and stores here, I kept thinking to myself, this place is a tween's/teen's dream! Seriously, it has nearly every tween/teen store one could imagine, including Forever 21, H&M, Aeropostale, Buckle, American Eagle Outfitters, Zumiez, Justice and more. They also have the big-name anchor stores (Macy's and JC Penney), a few kids' clothing stores and jewelry stores and some home goods/kitchen shops, and a large and diverse food court. The mall itself was super clean, easy to navigate, and the parking lot was well-organized. (It speaks volumes that I didn't lose my car here! lol). There's a decent selection of restaurants and other stores in separate buildings surrounding the main mall here (i.e., Twigs, IHop, Black Angus, Buffalo Wings, Boston restaurant, and a Nordstrom Rack and TJ Maxx and Dick's sporting stores). All in all, a decent stopping ground for most things one might need. read more

Not quite Mall of America, but this is quite a large complex of stores and surrounding restaurants, bars and other services. Stores are about what you would find anywhere now-a-days in America. Anchor stores are Macy's, Penny's and Sears, so it is fairly pedestrian. A Mexican restaurant and an Chinese restaurant have their own places in addition to a food mall of about a dozen eateries. As an outside visitor I notice that the people are neatly dressed and clean. Children, esp teenagers, are well behaved. The Mall is clean. Quite a commentary on the local area and the people who live in western Washington. In addition to the Mall you are within 20 miles of Coeur d'Alene, ID and less than 10 miles from downtown Spokane, which still has a viable downtown area of shops, services and eateries. read more

I don't know what I expected, but this is pretty much your average mall full of your average mall stores. Felt completely deserted, almost spooky on a winter day during covid. Bright lighting, plenty of parking, fast food court. Not horrible, but certainly not unique or exciting. read more

On a Saturday afternoon, the crowd was reasonable. The mall is newer and spacious with plenty of options for every shopper. The larger department stores make the mall visit worth it, just absent of Nordstrom though. We ate lunch at Azteca and they were accommodating with our large group of 30. read more

I love this mall, it's clean and classy. All it's missing is a Starbucks but it has a little coffee shop by the elevator at the second floor. Love the forever 21 store and kiddie stores like Gymboree. read more

It's a mall. It is what it is. It's got Spencer's, Hallmark, Electronics Botique, and a bunch of overpriced crap. And Cinnabon, the most unhealthily delicious food known to man! They've also got a pretty good movie theater with new extra-comfy seating. Here's the thing: their parking lot was designed by inbred monkeys. The ratio of cars exiting and entering vs. number of stop signs and weird-angled intersections is dangerous and aggravating. It's nearly impossible to get in to and just as hard to leave. I don't completely hate going to malls, but I really like leaving malls. Sadly, there isn't anything to do about it as it's pretty much set in stone and they keep adding in more businesses around it. I'm going to go ahead and be the 3rd Seattle Yelper to review this mall. As far as malls go, this one is pretty decent. At least I wasn't accosted by kiosk employees trying to straighten my existing hair while affixing a fake ponytail, while setting me up with Clearwire and putting a new leopard-print cover on my cell phone, while dousing me with perfume and adorning me with dreamcatcher earrings. And they have an Azteca, where I spent the majority of my time. read more

It's exactly the kind of mall you'd expect to find in a city like Spokane. It's got decent variety of mid level stores and plenty of parking. I agree with the other reviewers, the mall is very clean. My only real complaint is the fact it was really warm inside the mall. I was there in March, and yes, it was snowing outside, but the mall was so warm, it made wearing a jacket inside uncomfortable. Lots of sporting type stores here, so if you need a new pair of sneakers or shorts, this is your mecca. read more

There are no cameras in the parking lot! My car was stolen in broad daylight. This is supposed to be a family friendly place, yet I do not feel safe parking my car there anymore. I come to find out this is not the first time this has happened, cars have gotten broken into and stolen. They need to install cameras at all the entrances at least if not the whole parking lot! read more

Monday through friday okay maybe but on saturday? 91 year old aunt sherry is still awake going hard on Saturday night she's probably bottoms up on a bottle of tequila, so who decide that closing the mall at 8pm on Saturday is a good idea? People just got paid on Friday night and want to go spend some money at the mall but they cant because the mall closes at 8pm on Saturday. read more

Woohoo, this is as good as it gets for malls in Spokane imo! Especially if you include all the stores surrounding the mall, you could shop for hours! The mall itself is pretty spacious and has several stores that appeal to all ages. This mall isn't as fancy as the downtown mall but offers several more stores, and is much more nice than the Northtown mall. It's conveniently located right off of I90. Having a H&M and Hollister is nice! read more

The one true destination mall of eastern Washington. Easy access off I90. Plenty of parking but entering and exiting at times can be adventurous during peak times. Not the largest by square footage (about 750k) but is more densely populated with stores than North Town Mall (about 1M sq. ft). Anchored by Sears, JC Penny's, Macy's and home of the only H & M in the Spokane area. Food court is average but a handful of stand alone restaurants surrounding the mall make it a good place to eat and shop or vice versa. Satellite stores such as Dick's, Nordstrom Rack, Old Navy as well as other big name retailers truly make it the retail destination of Spokane. read more
