Dark spots from my clothing!

Tin roof the Tin Roof Showroom and Design Center 1727 E Sprague Ave, Spokane, WA 99202 I was a loyal customer until my recent purchase. Tin Roof sold me a motion sofa and MATCHING motion chair in the amount $9,608.02. . Sales date 05/27/21, 16 weeks ETA-estimated time arrival, delivery 12/17/21 (10 days shy of 7 months), 02/14/22 initial contact to The Tin Roof regarding a problem with dark spots over the entire chair (ONLY 7 weeks & 3 days, having in my home). . SEE 1 of several photos I shared with the Tin Roof taken ONLY 7 weeks having the chair in my home! . The Tin Roof NEVER offered a warranty on the furniture I bought. The Tin Roof NEVER DISCLOSED that the type of leather on this sofa and chair would TRANSFER DARK SPOTS from whatever clothing a person was wearing onto the furniture. The Tin Roof NEVER suggested to me I would need to sit on a throw when sitting on this expensive leather furniture or I would NEED to use a special leather cleaner to remove dark spots from the furniture. I requested to return with a full refund. The Tim Roof representative mentioned "reselect". But, the Tin Roof would NOT stand behind the products they sell if there's a problem. . Tin Roof sent a leather specialist to clean the chair with minimal results after working on it for more than 45 minutes- an hour. Heather Hanley, owner sent me a "nasty" email saying it was NORMAL wear. She said the Bassett furniture and hers would go into buying a cushion cover to replace the current one on the chair (never received). Heather also told me to throw something over the furniture when people sat on it to protect it. Hiding the beautiful pieces I spent $9,608.02 on! If you PM me I am happy to share my story of the problem and share photos I've taken. Along with the nasty email I received from the owner and the type of customer service you can expect if something goes wrong!

We have spent thousands of dollars at Tin Roof since 2019. We ordered a dining set and 6 chairs in 2019. We decided to order two more chairs in November 2020. When we went to pick them up 7 months later (yes, Covid played into this) the man handling them was not paying attention and damaged one chair carrying it out of storage. We declined the chair and talked to Tim Stoltz at the store. He said they would get it repaired. Instead, they used some stain to try and cover the two areas that were damaged. I again declined the chair. Tim told us this time he would order a new one. Four months later they delivered the new chair, but the delivery person noticed it was put together wrong, so left with it before even pulling it off the truck. They returned and I inspected the chair outside so I would notice any flaws. It looked great and we signed off on it. After placing at my table and having started to prep dinner, it was so apparently that the wood stain was an ENTIRELY DIFFERENT COLOR! After sending Tim the photos he said they had two in stock that might work. We took the wrong color chair down to the store along with one of the correct chairs so we could make absolutely sure the replacement matched. It does, but the seat is almost an inch and a half shorter in length. We were done. It was over a year. Tim said they would compensate/refund us a portion due to all of the issues. He told my husband a "check was in the mail" (for barely enough on the gas and time out of our schedules) and of course it has not arrived. I realize Covid has altered some things, but our first purchase there was a new bed. When IT arrived, it did not have the capability of being put together. Tim Roof remedied this and we never said a thing otherwise. But it appears they need people that can order, inspect and deliver the items as their customers order them.

QUESTION: Did Tin Roof advise customer that the leather sofa & chair they were choosing to purchase for $9,608.02 would require more care and you should throw a cover over this furniture? When you and/or your guest sit on this furniture it's likely that in 7 weeks the dye from your clothes will transfer to your leather furniture. You might want to consider another choice because this leather will require more care and you should consider purchasing an extended warranty. Owner believes the Tin Roof Representative/employee/Independent designer! Since 2017 I have had an on-going relationship with the Tin Roof. In 2017 I purchased a household of furniture from the Tin Roof furnishing my newly built ********** home. Since then, I have made many purchases over the years. Unfortunately, my most recent purchase has been a disappointing experience. Customer ID: SALE TOTAL: $ 9,072.60 Sales No: DELIVERY CHARGE: $ 149.00 Sale Date: 05/27/2021 SALES TAX: $ 535.42 Delivery Date: 12/17/2021 GRAND TOTAL: $ 9,608.02 Attached please find a copy of the receipt for the Magnificant Motion Chair and Magnificant Motion Sofa ordered, as follows: After waiting 6 months and 20 days I finally received the sofa and chair. Unfortunately, in less than two months the chair was showing unacceptable wear and tear. I contacted my representative Tin Roof employee now Independent Designer ********** on February 14, 2022, to discuss the situation and submitted photographs (see attached) of the chair. On March 15, 2021, your leather representative Clint was here to attempt to clean the leather with little success. Consider this letter a formal request to schedule a pick-up of both the sofa and chair and issue me a complete and full refund of $9,608.02. Sincerely, Karen Schomer Tin Roof DENIED my request.
