Beautiful restaurant great pizza and appetizers but the star of this establishment is truly beer. I highly recommend the nitro stout if they have it on tap even if you're not a dark beer drinker you will love this one. Similar to the flying goat, but not to say ! "let's not get it twisted" #Respect the chef‍‍. Yes, same owners but they do things just a little different. Great service friendly courteous staff. Worth the drive for our friends who think Southhill is so far away. read more

Wood fired pizza is the best! Their combinations of flavors are great. Definitely in our "rotation"

For sure my favorite pizza place on the South Hill. We shared the balsamic Brussel sprouts and pi bites. Both were delicious. I think by this point, I've had almost every pizza on the menu. My favorite are: The South Hill, Dalton, and The Bluff. Every time I have been here or had takeout, the food has been superb. The restaurant also has a nice vibe with the gorgeous wood, music, and happening bar. read more

They were so accommodating to my daughter's particular plate. She doesn't like cheese and picking it off is not an option. They made her a cheese-less pizza to perfection! read more

Great food, awesome service & love the neighborhood ambiance!! We love Republic Pi!!!

I've been to Republic Pi a couple of times, and overall, I like it. The pizzas on the menu are pretty good. The brick oven, thin crust, and a good variety of toppings are all things that help make a good pizza. However, there are some things that I find not so great. First, although, as I stated above, the pizzas are pretty good, they are VERY greasy. Since they use a brick oven, I'm not really sure why they find it necessary to use so much oil. Also, the pizzas need actual seasoning before they are brought out. Having crushed red pepper on the tables is not a substitute for seasoning the dish you are preparing--you don't omit seasoning your pasta or steak, so why would you do it with a pizza? The toppings simply needed to be enhanced by seasoning them--simple as that. Second, if so many patrons complain about your staff, why has this not been addressed yet? The owner/manager has responded to some reviewers by saying that they will retrain their staff accordingly, but it doesn't seem like that's been actually done, at least not effectively. Our waitress was too aloof, and just lacked basic professionalism. She never asked us if we wanted refills on our drinks, even though they were almost empty. Also, when one of my fellow diners tried to talk to her in order to compliment the crust, she totally ignored him. Consequently, it was really awkward and I felt so bad for him because he is a generally shy person and went out of his way to be kind and friendly, only to be met with complete ignorance in return. In sum, this place is not bad, but there are some things, food and service wise, that should be not just addressed, but actually taken care of. read more

I love when I go to a new place and feel welcomed. This was my first time visiting Republic Pi. We ordered some appetizers and a pizza. Food came fairest quickly and I enjoyed watching our food been cooked in the oven in front of us. Pizza crust was thin and crunchy. I thought it was a little over baked but still tasted good. Gender neutral bathroom. Separate bar area from family area. There's a plenty of parking on both side of the restaurant. I need to come back on Tuesday for happy hour and pie soon! read more

My daughter claimed they had the best cheese pizza she'd ever tasted, primarily because she asked them to use a light hand on their red sauce and they did so. I had the South Hi which I very much enjoyed and my nieces split their version of a margarita, although I don't remember what they called it. We sat outside and I also enjoyed a nice glass of rosé. A pleasant experience! read more

Great spot for salad and pizza - high quality ingredients and creative pairings make Republic Pi a South Hill favorite.

Burnt food. Rude staff. Hard pass. I'm not sure how this place has so many five star reviews, but don't trust them.

This review is based on their appetizers and service. Sunday is all day happy hours prices. We asked to sit on the patio. We got the 6 inch pizza, edamame and Pi bites. If the 6 inch pizza is a sample of their bigger pizza, then wow. So yummy! The edamame is seasoned. I loved it! The Pi bites with dip was a generous portion. My daughter did think it was a bit salty but still yummy. Ryan A was a great server. Our order was taken pretty quick and the food was up in no time. Ryan checked on us a few times and our water glasses were constantly being filled. Definitely will be back! read more

Great place to eat on the south hill. Pizza is excellent. Have been there 6 o more times. Only 1 time, Cobb salad disappointing.

They are the rudest restaurant I have been to in forever. We called ahead and we were told they do not take reservations but, they knew we were coming so when we walked in the hostess told us we can not be in There and we need to leave! Before we even could explain why we were there. The rest of our party was already in there. She was extremely rude and told us to leave immediately. Then we all waited outside in parking lot for our table. Not sure how they even had our numbers to text us. Because they wouldn't even take time to talk to us. We were told that "Jesus Christ we are in the middle of a pandemic". There is a lot more to the story... we will never ever give a dime to this place. We went somewhere else and they were super nice and inviting. read more

I've been very happy with the pizzas I've gotten here and would probably give them 5 stars for taste. I recently, however, went online to look at their menu so I could call in an order and then pick it up. I found they are playing the new game many restaurants are trying out and that is they don't post prices online. I'm left guessing what an item might cost or putting together an order, then calling and requesting prices, then being tied up on the phone as I adjust the order because, like everyone, I'm on a budget. It's Whack-a-mole with choosing, being told the price, re-choosing, add this, take away that.... it's exhausting. Honestly, one time was enough doing this. I'll skip them next time I want to do a take out order if they continue to not post their prices. There are other places close by that I'll call in an order too. Ones that post their prices online. Ugh. read more

Went to Republic Pi with family today for lunch. The pizza was wonderful, the salad not so much. We ordered The Republic pizza which was crazy good. They even made us another one because there was a small hole in the pizza dough (they made it at their own discretion)! The salad was somewhat plain, which was disappointing. It had pepperoncinis (which I love) in it however the lettuce seemed to be just a mixed lettuce bag with some arugula added to it. Overall pizza good, salad I'd pass on. read more

We ordered through Grubhub and the food didn't arrive for hours. Amazingly enough, the pizza was incredible despite being delivered as cold leftovers. We're definitely ordering from them again, just not through Grubhub. I wish this restaurant was in our town, but knowing about this pizza will encourage us to visit Spokane more. read more

Two words: Pi Bites. Three more words: Kolsch Cheese Sauce. After that, you'll be speechless. My friend described these little nuggets as "savory cronuts" (descriptor cred: Mikayla H). I couldn't agree more. They are buttery and crispy on the outside, soft and pillowy on the inside. Dunked in the kolsch cheese sauce, they become melt-in-your-mouth bites of salty, crunchy, carbohydrate bliss. So, if that doesn't inspire you, I give up. Of course, there's other ways to consume perfectly cooked dough here; the pizzas look divine, and the sandwich bread is made in house. Such creative toppings for all appetites, vegan included. There's also salads, which I had to balance out my Pi Bite binge. A gorgeous beet, arugula, feta, pine nut combo. I watched it being made in the open kitchen, and was impressed by how much attention my humble salad got. Every ingredient was thoughtfully presented, and those beets... thinly sliced and full of flavor. The modern gastropub vibe is perfect for all occasions: dates, family meals, friend gatherings, and casual chilling. The outdoor patio with firepit looks prime for cozy evenings. Service was friendly & fast, and prices are perfectly fair. Note the bottled "dessert" beers to-go, too! read more

Finally a new place in the neighborhood! I've eaten here about four times since they opened last week and everything has been exceptional. From the beer to the pizza crust and everything in between. A really great date night spot! The Pi Bites are habit forming and are served with a Kolsch cheese sauce. (#fatkidproblems )The Husband loves a good Hawaiian pizza and their version is definitely elevated with prosciutto and jalapeños. The Vegan Pie is really good (if you're into that kind of thing.) I personally love Pesto and Brussel sprouts! And I also love a thin crust!!! But my favorite thing on the menu... Chocolate Stout Pudding with fresh whipped cream served in a Guinness glass. UPDATE: I love the new Lunch Menu! the Veggie Mezzaluna is absolutely perfect with a cup of soup!! Mmm! read more

Been here at least five times and feeling thankful they are in the neighborhood! I consistently have attentive service and great, fresh food. Can't go wrong with Pi Bites. They are like a savory kronut that you dip in beer cheese sauce. The Wilson pizza is a go-to: consisting of a cream sauce with garlic, potato, green onions. A rich melange of toppings compliments the thin, perfectly chewy/charred crust. The Republic is also a very good option: capers, tomato sauce, kalamatas, sausage with a bit of kick, basil. Super kid friendly and a nice clean atmosphere make this the "Flying Goat of the South". read more

I have been wanting to try this place for months. My dad and niece can into town and I really didn't want to cook so here we went. I must say I was impressed...they seated us by the kitchen which I wasn't too fond of but in the end I was able to see the kitchen process. I noticed they had an individual working the appetizers, salads, and soups. Then you had 2 people working the wood fire pizza oven (which according to my dad his pizza was 'Awesome' and it takes a lot for him to say that about anything). And then they a few others handling everything else on the menu. The waitress was great and our cups were never empty. I had the Guinness Beef Stew and man was that good. I will so be back....next time beer will be the main course (; read more

This place pizza is the best!!!! We got the 6" happy hour so that way we can try a various of pizza. We ended up getting the Wilson, 30th off grand, and Waikiki and of course the Dalton pizza which was by far the best one there!!! You should definitely try the Dalton if you're into barbecue it's so delicious!!! The only down side to this place is that they don't have any ranch. I was pretty surprised to hear that so if you plan on going and you enjoy your pizza with some ranch make sure you take your own. But overall everything else was great (the service, the food, and the drinks) read more

The location of this place is nice. There's a huge parking lot, and it's easy to get to up on the south hill! They have a great drink selection with everything from cocktails, to ciders, to craft brews. I personally would go with the Ace Pear Cider, every time! I think this place is connected to The Flying Goat on the north side, because I noticed a lot of the pizzas were the same. The prices were alright for the pizzas, I get that they are more "hipster" so they deserve a higher price. Honestly though, the pizza is just alright. The meat one was good, according to my friend. I had the pear & balsamic pizza without the meat and it was honestly not good. It was interesting and I wanted to like it, but I really couldn't. Plus- they don't have ranch! :( just Gorgonzola, which is not the best ranch substitute when all you want with your pizza is some ranch! Good environment, location, drinks, just meh on the pizza. read more

YES. My sister had talked about this place for sooooo long. It lived up to the hype. Brussels sprouts on pizza?!?! YES PLEASE! They're Smokey and crispy! I usually eat my pizza with ranch, but I didn't even need ranch with this pizza. It's a miracle. We also got the house salad which came with a delicious creamy white vinaigrette. I've heard everything here is good, so you can't go wrong, but I HIGHLY recommended the pizza with Brussels sprouts. They also have sandwiches and salads. Service was good. Um... People love this place. All day long I hear nothing but Republic Pi this, and oh, but have you tried Republic Pi yet that. You would think they actually make great pizzas here. I recognize that this opinion is unpopular. Drop to the ground! Hands behind your back! Stop resisting! Stop resisting! *TAZE* *TAZE* But really, come on people... Thin little crusty crust. A baby's fistful of toppings. A bird's dropping of cheese. Am I eating pizza in a Kafka novel? The disconnect between people's love of this place and the food itself is staggering and there seems to be no good explanation. I've only had takeout so perhaps the experience inside is extraordinary? It could also be a style thing as I was never much into the scant and skinny pretentious west-coast pizza thing. To me, pizza is a comfort food and you gotta respek. South Perry does a bang up job for example. Well-executed. Contemporary. Sophisticated. Yet true to form. Anyway, not my thing. That's ok. It's all going to be ok. read more

This was our first time at a Republic Pi although we've been to the Flying Goat several times. We ordered the Montrose Dumplings to start which were very good, not spectacular but good. For pizza, we had the Waikiki which was good but more sauce than toppings. Lastly, we ordered The Bluff which was delicious! The Brussels sprouts were on point! The service left something to be desired as did the people waiting for tables who were practically sitting on us in the bar but the food was delicious. I would eat here again but not necessarily running back right away... If that helps:-) Also... The beer is a bit pricey and served quite warm... read more

Republic Pi is a sister restaurant to The Flying Goat and Downriver Grill- those are more than enough credentials I need to give them a try. Republic Pi is conveniently located in the Manito Neighborhood, making it a great lunch stop before walking around Manito Park and visiting the rose gardens. They serve some of their own unique artisan pizzas as well as some pizzas that are also popular at the Flying Goat. Cliff Park Brussel Sprouts- WOW! They take fire-roasted to a whole new level. I thought I was the only one who liked my roasted veggies black and charred, apparently I was wrong because that's how they serve them and they are a HUGE hit. They come with bacon bits... as if this appetizer could get any better. Wood Fired Pizzas are the best pizzas. Hands down. Cooking in a wood-fire grill allows the pizza to cook evenly and it adds that firey/smokey flavor to the crust. We tried the Manito with rossa sauce, fresh mozzarella, and basil. I am all about a classic, low maintenance pizza. This is the best way to judge if a pizza joint knows what they are doing. Order a classic, with light toppings and let the sauce, cheese, and crust do the talking. The ingredients tasted fresh and the pizza was simple but full of flavor, the crust is thin and soft with a slight crunch. read more

Well the food here is absolutely delicious! The drinks weren't my style but my husband thoroughly enjoyed his. My only minor complaints were the waitress told us the meatball appetizer would be 6 larger meatballs cut into halves, and what we received was 9 chunks of meat that may have been part of a meatball at one point, and while delicious, didn't make much for a 4 person table. The other being we asked for our pizza to only have the green onion on half, and it was on maybe 80% of the pizza. I still loved it though! read more

Not sure why anyone eats here unless you like being greated by a rude and unfriendly host (male, didn't get his name) then wait 10 minutes for the same rude and unfriendly person who sat you be your server. Then we were given dirty plates and forks and when we asked for new plates and forks the replacements were even dirtier. We were hoping the taste of the food would be the bright point of this already horrible evening but unfortunately nope. We were able to get up to get our own to-go boxes because nobody came back to the table and brought the leftovers which was both our meals home for the dogs and we were happy to see they enjoyed it. Fantastic wood fired pizza and beer! There is a great and extensive beer selection and I was happy to see my favorite beer from Georgetown here. You'd be hard-pressed to NOT be able to find a beer or cider to your taste. Looking at the pizza menu, literally every single pizza sounded SO GOOD. Lots of combinations of sauces and cheeses and meats and a couple with truffle oil!! After much debate, we decided on the #37 and the Wilson. 10/10 recommend both of them, though I imagine that you will also have a hard time deciding which of the delicious pizzas to get. Didn't get the chance to try to Pi Bites, but hopefully next time! We came on a Friday at 6 and got seated in 10 minutes, which is not bad at all.
