I had Renco Roofing come out to look at my roof to help find the source of water coming through my ceiling. Robert came 1.5 hours late having driven from Chandler. He said the office should have given me a time range. He said nothing was wrong with the roof that he could see so said next step would be a water test (hoses spray water to see where it goes) for $600. I scheduled for this and a new coating on the carport that I knew we needed. Robert is a super nice guy but scheduling was a nightmare. In his defense I changed the work order to cancel the water test bc with the next rain the ceiling fell down and I called a plumber when a pipe leak came in view. But communication within the company is clearly a problem. I kept calling and texting and asking when the roof would be done. I even asked if it was a waiting list due to the monsoon season and he said no. But it took over two months to get the carport roof done. And it turned out my plumber identified leaks around the roof vents and he did a "water test" for free. The actual work they did on the carport was good. Just a long road to get it done. I've been dealing with this roof repair issue since May 29. I had to go through my HOA for approval. The first time you were out, nothing was done. Your roofers arrived before I left for work and did nothing but bang on the roof a few times. I called the HOA again to arrange repair and specifically asked for Renco to contact me beforehand so my sick dachshund would not be home. Today I got home and noticed roofers were here. A complete roofing job was done,the initial inspection indicated the roof was in poor condition. This is a flat roof, it was stripped and re-foamed. I can only trust that the work was completed as described by the initial inspector. There was lack of communication during the process and no feedback or pics/videos when completed. Called Renco to speak to someone about some concerns ...no call back to this date. After spending 16K I expected more. UPDATED ...from 3 to 5 stars. We just used RENCO Roofing to do a roof replacement on our house. Lars came out and did the estimate, and was fantastic. He was very professional and thorough, and surpassed the other companies in every category. The company was not the cheapest estimate we had, but we decided to use them based off of reviews and their obvious knowledge surrounding the roofing industry. Lars never once pressured us into anything unnecessary. We went with a single layer underlayment instead of double, because he knew we wanted to sell our house and it wasn't worth the investment for us. The job was scheduled for about 3 weeks out, which is was perfect for us. It took a full 3 days to do the replacement. The guys doing the replacement were always on time, and worked endlessly constantly throughout the day. We appreciated their hard work and long hours, as it guaranteed a quicker finish. They cleaned up very nice, and we found minimal nails/garbage on our property throughout the 3 days. My only reason for 4 stars and not 5 is the extreme lack of communication throughout our project. We were given a project manager, but he never once reached out to us for an update. We never met him in person until we had an issue. We had to reach out to him to get updates on the project or to know when the guys would be showing up again. We also had requested for no workers on Fridays, and we did have some guys show up on a Friday against our request. Lastly, our final invoice was sent over with the incorrect amount due-it was missing $3,100 that we had paid towards our balance. After expressing our issues about the lack of communication and invoice error, the employees were very apologetic. But in general, we did not see an improvement in communication afterwards. Overall, we had a very good experience with this company. The work that was done is great. Just beware if lack of communication is a deal breaker for you. read more

I don't trust a place that comes out says "the issue you're having isn't covered by your warranty any it will $750 dollars to fix or I can come fix it in my own time for $350." It was a three year old roof and they actually allow their technicians to have a massive conflict of interest if not encourage outright dishonesty. I will never work with them again. read more

Took way to long to get the roof fixed (over a month) with mold growing and our walls starting to smell. Got it fixed, finally. They arrived bright and early on Wednesday morning. Due to our parking situation they have to park in front of our garage... yet they didn't call the day before and say they were still coming and that they were needed to block the garage.. so I had my vehicle parked and BLOCKED. Unable to go anywhere and had to call off work because I physically could not get out. If your going to park in front of a driveway at least CALL AHEAD AND LET THE PEOPLE KNOW SO THEY CAN MAKE APPROPRIATE ACTIONS. Called and complained, not sure it will go anywhere but pretty disappointed with the 'customer service' received. read more

very dishonest company. we hired them to replace the roof above the garage two years ago and found out that they did not do the job when we are replacing the entire roof. we will see them in the court. there is no confusion. they quoted me 30k to 35k for the entire roof. they charged me 5k for the garage roof. the amount of the roof they repaired is definitely not worth 5k. I asked them many times to show the proof of work and never provided the view from the top. shame on this company. I am taking further action. On top of what I paid, I am looking to get it back. I will also look into checking with the city to see how we can get this company license evoked. A company like this should not be allowed to do business in Phoenix. read more

Avoid Renco Roofing at all cost!! I had maintenance work done on my 92-year-old Dad's roof in spring 2023 and since then the garage has sprung new leaks with every rain we have. (It wasn't leaking before they "worked" on it.) I have had to deal with numerous people throughout the past year, the most recent one being Ryan Huotari, "President". Today he denies any responsibility whatsoever and my elderly Dad is beside himself with worry. Furthermore, in the past Ryan requested that I avoid giving any negative reviews such as Yelp or Google and I'm pretty sure that's against a law or 2. Run run run from this shady business. I am going to have to take them to court to get resolution. Save yourself the grief. There are many reputable and responsible roofing contractors out there. Keep looking. read more

Read the fine print of their generic contract/warranty before you hire them! When working with renco roofing on roof repairs for an hoa, i found their quotes and proposals had many fine print disclaimers in place that excluded warranty on materials used and stated hoa was responsible to work with material mfg's. One major disclaimer states that if puddling/pooling (settling water which typically Voids The O.E.M. Materials Warranty), is present it would cost extra to fix. This left me no choice but to cease repairs until contract/warranty was resolved or i would not approve the invoices. After this problem was discussed with Renco, they state that they use a generic contract/warranty for all, our hoa failed to read disclaimers. After calling them out, renco states they do work with material suppliers, if asked to. Very unprofessional and not at all transparent. Find another Roofing Contractor that is Up Front and will Not leave your roof with puddling/pooling (settling water). I stand firm and true to my reviews. read more

We had our roof repaired by RENCO Roofing. On 10 December, we noticed some water damage on our ceiling. On 16 December, Jari Marjanen, who was wonderful to work with, came an inspected our roof. He found the problem: the material used underneath the title roofing was faulty. He gave us a quote to fix the material. The quote was the most reasonably priced out of the other quotes we had gotten. And the quote included fixing the entire roof section, not just the area around the material. They came out on 23 December and fixed the roof. The crew was easy to work with and very clean. I'd recommend considering RENCO Roofing, and I'll be keeping their information for the future. read more

Renco Roofing did some work for me in 2017. They sealed a portion of my roof that was flat. Recently I had to have Lars check out a leak I had from a severe wind and rain storm we had a few weeks ago. The wind was blowing the rain sideways that night! Lars came in and measured my bedroom wall where the leak was and then measured the outside wall so he could figure out where the "leak" was coming from. He checked my entire roof and determined that the leak was caused by my vent on the roof and I did not need to do anything else at this time..(Thank goodness!) I have always been pleased with Renco Roofing, but never more than I was this time. What Lars doesn't know is since I had to wait a few days until I could see him, I decided to call another roofing company since they were available sooner. This roofing company was available to stop by within 2 days of my phone call. (They were also rated highly on Yelp.) I had them come in and check out my leak. This guy said the leak was probably from the vent on the roof and proceeded to return to his truck without going up on the roof. Then, as if a last minute thought, went on my roof, took a few photos of the cemented joint connections and told me that I needed to have them re-sealed. Two days later I received an estimate of what the joint sealing would cost. He said all 8 joints needed to be re-sealed but only sent me pictures of 3 that he had taken. That's funny, what happened to the other 5? Not being knowledgeable about roof repairs, I decided to wait and meet with Lars from Renco. I trusted Lars 3 years ago and I trusted him this time. If he had said I needed to re-seal my roof joints, I would have believed him. But, it seems this time I did not have to do anything. And I felt very comfortable with his assessment. If I ever need additional work on my roof in the future, I will reach out to Renco for my repairs. Thanks Lars and Renco, it's nice to have a company I can trust. read more

We had Renco do some repair nine years ago. Recently had a leak but beyond their 5 year guarantee. Got a quote from Mick to have 1/2 of the tile roof redone for $14,000. Decided to go with them and called Mick back twice plus called the office for him to call us. No response, so we talked with another roofing company and was quoted $10,000 AND for better material under the tile than Renco was going to use! And he started in les than a week. We saved money - yay - and Renco lost us as a customer now and in the future. read more

They absolutely get no rating from me. Only gave them a One star because yelp didn't have a -star rating. This is the worst contractor I have ever had the displeasure or working with. From delayed work to missed appointments to showing up late to taking over 45 days to complete a roof repair to calling me after three months after the roof was finally completed to collect a balance owing after having paid their invoice in full at time of completion.....this is a terrible company. Their lack of communication set the tone for the entire frustrating process. I will never use them again and I will never ever refer their name to family, friends and coworkers. When we bought our condo in Sept 2019, it was disclosed that there had been a leak in June and it had been repaired by Renco roofing. It turns out Renco did not repair the roof at all, and it has continued to leak whenever it rained while we were gone (only lived in the condo part time from Sep-Feb when we moved in permanently). How do I know this? Because when we moved in 2 weeks ago I saw red-brown streaks (from the tiles I'm guessing) going down the white closet doors in our guest room. I now know after all this rain what it is. When we realized that the leaking was coming from the very same area that was supposed to have been fixed last year, we called the mgmt co for our HOA to get the roofers number. They came out quickly but sent a young guy who said he saw no issues and everything looked good except one tile was askew. He put that tile back and said to call the next day if any more leaking and they would come right out. Well, it rained like Seattle, and of course we had more leaking in several areas of the closet and when we called (several times) we got ABSOLUTELY NO RESPONSE. Our carpet is wet, our closet door is bubbling now, and we ARE NOT going to pay for repairs to the interior that the previous owner paid for after he thought they had repaired the roof. Unbelievably poor service. Will update later if they get this mess fixed. It seems there are a lot of one stars on here. Not good.... read more

Renco redid my tile roof about 2 years ago. They did a great job. Their employees were easy to work with and cleaned debris at the end of every day. The salesman always responded promptly to every question I posed while I was reviewing the quote. Everyone with whom I interacted was friendly and professional. Recently I sent photo of what appeared to be loose tile around roof vent on garage. Within a day or two Flint came out to check tile. He inspected and said tile was correctly installed but perhaps to make it appear better cosmetically he would add an additional tile piece. He did and everything looks great. I highly commend a company that responds to a question 2 years after the sale and makes the customer happy. That alone reassures me that I picked the best roofing company. read more

Lars came out 2 days after we contacted RENCO, super nice guy, he went over everything we needed to know so we went a head and scheduled for them to replace our flat roof. They called us day before the scheduled day to confirm the job and what time they would arrive. Mark and his crew worked on our roof from 5am to 3, they got it all done in one day!! Very clean, covered everything around our house ( car, pool, pattio furniture etc.) to protect it from over spray, to make sure it didn't get anything on it. We went with this company because of the good reviews and also how easy and knowledgeable Lars was. We are very happy !! We would recommend this company to anyone who's in need of a new roof!
