In Stamford for a business trip,I saw that Remo's was in walking distance of my hotel and decided to give it a try for dinner. I'm so glad I did. The service was fast, friendly and professional. The atmosphere is nice and casual with plenty of light coming in the windows during the day. I ordered a glass of house Chardonnay for $6. Reasonable price, very full glass - off to a good start. Bread was brought promptly to my table. Fresh and homemade - olive oil on the table for dipping. I ordered the pasta fagioli soup and the grilled calamari appetizer as my dinner. The soup came in a large bowl, perfect temperature and very flavorful. Finally, the grilled calamari was a large portion as well and served on a big bed of mixed greens with a delicious lemon vinegarette along with two extra lemons and I didn't even have to ask! The cannoli and coffee that went by on their way to another table looked and smelled wonderful but unfortunately, I was too full to indulge. If I ever get back to Stamford, I will definitely return to Remo's! read more

Well I went to Remo's for lunch with some co-workers and I ordered the Chicken Parm over Linguini. The flavor was very good, if I had not stuffed my face with their DELICIOUS home made bread and Olive oil I probably would have eaten my whole dish. I would def go back to try some other dishes. This little Italian pizzeria is phenomenal. We wandered into it just after it opened about 4 years ago, and have been back probably 50 times (no joke). We've taken friends and family, celebrated birthdays and anniversaries with them, and always enjoyed great food and reliable service. The Napoletano pizza is really incredible. A sweet tomatoe sauce, fresh mozzerella and basil...WOW! We've never had a bad meal, and always enjoyed the Country Salad with roasted pears and apples, and the Zeppole (fried dough with powdered sugar) for dessert. This fun little Stamford staple never dissapoints, and we hope it will always be around. We'll certainly do our part to keep them in business! read more

I actually like a lot of remos food, especially the salad pizza but the experiences I've had with ordering/delivery have been awful. A couple times the driver has gone to the wrong address and called, only to come deliver my food another 30 min later and it's cold. One time the salad on my salad pizza was actually completely off the pizza due to the driving and I had to call and have a new pizza sent out. I've actually never dined in, but delivery is shotty. I wasnt going to say anything but thought hey it's my duty. "If you see something say it" I went to remos to pick up my take out order. I have ordered there maybe 4 times prior. I walked in and watched one of the Mexican young man pick bread that had fallen and put it back on the tray. I wasnt eating bread so I still grabbed my pizza and left. When i got home i started imagining if he had done that in front of me a customer what goes on behind the scenes? I became nauseated and could not eat the pizza. Found this place in Stamford after hungrily searching for a place to eat dinner after a long drive from Boston with friends. After gobbling up the complementary homemade Italian bread with olive oil, my friends and I ordered a 16" large New England Pie with fresh garlic, shrimp, clams, light sauce and mozzarella. Crust was thin, sauce was flavorful and the toppings were fresh. It hit the spot. We also got the fried calamari and the pomodoro sauce on the side, which is always a good idea to start off any Italian meal. There was also the penne ala vodka with pink cream sauce and prosciutto di parma as well as a pasta dish with linguine clam sauce served in white sauce (you can also get red sauce if you want). My personal favorite out of all was definitely the chicken parmigiana baked with mozzarella and sauce (also served with penne). It wasn't the best chicken parm I've had but it was good, not bad. Service was okay--not exceptional, just average. The server forgot to refill our drinks even after we asked but I guess that happens. Not sure if I'll drive all the way here to eat at Remo's but I'd go back if I'm around the area. read more

Went there the first week the state opened from Brooklyn ! We stayed the week and had lunch here! The food was exceptional. One of the best pies I ever tried. The buffalo chicken pie was my favorite! Yumm! Is all I can say about this place! We ordered from here tonight for dinner and it was def a great pick. I ordered an original cheese pizza and a large chopped cob salad with extra grilled chicken. The price was pretty decent and they do charge a small delivery charge but over all they did arrive quickly! My cob salad was def yummy! My daughter enjoyed the pizzas as well. They have a great pizza, not cheap but not very expensive. The pizzas are huge - good for sharing. Social atmosphere with a mix of ages and group sizes. Can feel a bit cramped when it's busy but the service is always fast. Make sure you get a pizza that lets you taste how good the cheese is. I recommend the margarita pizza. Possibly the best bolognese sauce I have ever had, and the best pizza I've had in CT up until now. The meatballs and ricotta are a meal by themselves. Desserts and coffee drinks are also killer (sfogliatelles, ricotta cheesecake, tiramisu). Out of the 20-ish times I have been here, the only bad dishes I have had were the pasta fagioli (no garlic or black pepper?) and one instance in which the vodka sauce tasted sour ( I've had it multiple times and it's usually amazing). I'm from NY and good pizza is hard to find in CT. Remos has proved to be the best. It's always consistent and arrives within the hour hot and fresh. My only complaint is the the girls that take the order for delivery. There rude and need to brush up on there customer skills. I've often felt like cancelling. Other then that the food is a must try. So... We landed on Remo's because we were passing on through and wanted pizza. We thought we'd bank our stock on Yelpers for our dinner locale. Honestly, the pizza is really four stars--so Yelp was true to form on quality of food. The ambiance is about four stars as well. The service was the pits. I don't think service as a whole was horrible, I think we drew the short stick and got seated in a section with the worst waiter. Absolutely awful. We had to beg for everything. We were always looking for him. He hardly said a word to us, and I spent my entire meal hunting him down because we needed something (very little in retrospect). Ive had there pizza take out before since I live in the area and its really good. Yesterday me and a friend went for dinner i had a glass of red wine and the lasagna he had lemonade and the pasta Alfredo with chicken. His food was really great. The bread we got while waiting and the wine and lemonade great. However my lasagna I did not like as much. I love lasagna and haven't had it in a while since a-lot of places don't have it and i myself haven't made it in a while since I cook. Shockingly since his food was really good i was a bit upset that mine did taste under seasoned just nothing wowed me like his food did. I am also used to getting bread with a pasta meal not just before the meal in general. I mixed up the prices and thought i would be paying what I saw was the lunch price. To me the lasagna was not worth the dinner price even though the portion was big the flavors and taste was not there. His also was a bit pricey but given the location and since it was really good I was ok with it. I am not a person tp complete or send back food so I just dealt with it. Server and staff were great as well but not sure if I would go back or get the lasagna again if I ever did go back. $53 is a lot to me for only one great thing and one not so much. read more

Crispy Pizza, Clean Restaurant and fast service. The pizza is great, in my opinion though it's not tops in Stamford. Dry crispy crust and a liquidy sauce make the cheese kind of slide off the pizza. I am not a big salad guy but people have mentioned how great the salad bar is. If your craving some thin crust pizza, right in the heart of downtown Stamford, stop bye Remos.
