This place is Amazing! I bounced around town trying different places as a new resident but always ended up returning here. The pizza is delicious! They are actually make white clam pizza which is my husbands favorite. I personally love the garlic knots. My first time doing take out here while I was up visiting friends in CT. I called in to pick up a medium cheese pizza with mushrooms and black olives and a small salad. My pizza was fantastico. The best thin perfectly baked crust. The sauce wonderful flavorful and topped with the perfect amount of cheese. My salad was great and had several types of lettuce not just boring iceberg. The dressing was tasty and complimented the salad perfectly. From the time I called and picked up my order it was ready on time. I do recommend parking in back which had plenty of spaces. I have given this place two tries and both times they have failed. The first time I ordered two sandwiches and the meatball parm sub had two meatballs on it for the full ten inch sub. The second sandwich was completely wrong and tasted like fish. The second order was for a couple of pizzas, one sausage and one cheese. They sent us two cheese pizzas and never fixed their mistake. This may not look like much from the outside, but I knew I was in for something when I noticed they were watching soccer in Italian. Absolutely first-rate thin-crust pizza. My wife and I loved the margarita pizza, which was made with super-fresh and flavorful mozzarella and fresh-picked basil. The arugula and burrata salad was also superb, with a wonderful homemade lemony vinaigrette. Even the breadsticks were obviously homemade and utterly delicious. Now this is pizza! The crust is perfect-chewy with a bit of a crunch, exactly how pizza crust should be. The spinach slice was delectable, fresh baby spinach just slightly wilted and had just the right amount of garlic. I ordered the chicken cacciatore entree, the penne ortolane (chicken and sausage with broccoli rabe in penne), and tried a cheese pizza slice. All the other reviewers who said that this tastes like New York pizza come to Riverside were right! Their cheese slice is as good as my favorite from NYC! And the crust is thin and crispy too. I've lived in nearby Cos Cob for many years and had never gone to the former Riverside Pizzeria that once was, but I'm sure glad I stumbled across this new eatery!
