I went to Nick's Pizza yesterday for lunch with a friend. We ordered salads and mozzarella sticks. My friend had a salad without meat, and I ordered the chicken Caesar salad. The flavor was actually really good, and the mozzarella sticks were great too. Unfortunately, shortly after returning to work I started feeling very sick and ended up with a bad stomach and diarrhea multiple times. Before lunch, the only thing I had eaten all day was an avocado and some pretzels, so the timing made me concerned that something from my meal may not have agreed with me. I'm not sure if there may have been cross-contamination or if the chicken might not have been fully cooked, but something definitely didn't feel right afterward. I do want to say that the server was very kind and attentive, which I appreciated. I just wanted to share my experience because the food tasted good, but the aftermath unfortunately wasn't great. read more

We drove by on our way to our hotel and noticed "Bacco's Beer Garden" sign with cute lights umbrellas and picnic tables for outdoor seating. Very confusing when you search it, has the same address, yet you get a fine Italian dining website that's baccoscharleston.com and a weird 800 number... It's kind of misleading because it's actually Nick's Pizza. No wonder I couldn't find the menu online, didn't match the venue. But the food was wonderful nonetheless. The eggplant parm and penne arrabbiata were fantastic. Menus are now downloaded to your phones, not really a fan especially when the layout isn't the greatest you're scrolling and scrolling on your phone with an extensive menu, you forget what was at the top by the time you reach the bottom. All in all a pleasant dining experience. Wait staff was wonderful, but the marketing / branding is super off and confusing. read more

Not sure how the food was allowed out of the restaurant. My roommate ordered a buffalo chicken pizza, garlic knots and wings. The pizza seemed to have been made nicely, but then it looks like someone dumped a bottle of frank's red hot on it. It was literally dripping in buffalo sauce and was inedible. The garlic knots were leaking oil from the bag they were in. They were completely soaked in olive oil and garlic. The wings were good. This was my first time eating Nicks and apparently the first time in several orders that my roommate received bad food from them, so I'll throw them 2 stars. He's still trying to get a response from seamless on a refund/credit. read more

Nick's is my favorite spot for delicious pizza and dinner. The entrées are excellent and priced so reasonably . The ambience is cozy and warm. Staff is so friendly and accommodating. Nick's also provides excellent catering services. I arranged a Christmas party and Nick's catered the event, there wasn't a crumb of food left. My guests could not stop raving about the delicious food! Nick's is a local Stamford treasure. read more

First off: Nicks is more of a 3.5 than a flat 3. Normally I'd give a 4 for that because a 3 feels meaner, but Nicks has increased its prices to a point that I find it hard to justify going here often. The pizzas have long been smaller than the pizzas you can get from other places in Stamford, and they are not boutique-y less-is-more pizzas, they're just solidly alright pizzas that are a bit crispier texturewise than other places. I totally get in the mood for that approach sometimes, but it's hard to justify spending 20 bucks on a one topping pie when other places (such as my beloved Slice of Stamford) charge less for more, when it comes to both size and consistency. The other things on the menu are fine, but unlike the pizza, have no special quality that stands out versus other places. It's fine! read more

All I could say is wow! Finally a place in Stamford that not only has great food but such welcoming staff. Firstly, a welcoming greeting from the young lady behind the counter. We were seated immediately and were catered to right away. The young lady that was working the bar was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the menu and explained how hot the suicide wings were !!! Her drinks were amazing and even made us a fresh pot of coffee with our desert. Management here definitely knows what they're doing and I will be back ! read more

Also my reviews for the food below are in comparison to other pizza restaurants Pizza (4/5) - Nick's makes a solid, thicker cut style pizza which is very reasonably prized and filling. This pizza does not compare to something like Pepe's and/or Sally's but it really isn't supposed to. It is a traditional pizza like I used to eat as a kid. Wings (2/5) - These were not great, particularly the sauces. Chicken Parm sandwich or Platter (5/5) - The chicken parm is a great sandwich and very filling. The chicken is (typically) cooked to perfection and it comes with a lot of cheese on a good roll. This is often what I end up ordering for dinner when not cooking at home. Eggplant Parm platter (4/5) - Very good, not-oily eggplant parm Overall, Nick's has become our go to pizza place when ordering pizza for the family. We love going to Nick's and sitting at one of the outdoor tables weather permitting, but whether you are outdoors or in, the service has always been consistently good. Every server we have had to date (probably all of them, haha) have been very attentive and professional. We have tried numerous pizza, pasta and sandwich dishes along with their FANTASTIC wings. We have also had food delivered on many occasions and it's just as good. One very memorable dish we had recently delivered was the manicotti. We asked for a spicy marinara and boy did they deliver - it was probably one of our favorite dishes to date and it was delivered. read more

Coming down from an epic soccer win in a co-ed team in Stamford, we journeyed to Nick's to drink, eat pizza, and celebrate. Sometimes, company is more important than food, so this meal would have been great either way. I can't fault Nick's Pizza for trying, I am just a terribly annoying critic when it comes to pizza. Call me an elitist, and I admit it. But my comparison always comes back to Ischia (Naples), Italy. Go get a margarita pizza there, and you will understand. Anyway, Nick's Pizza felt like all New York Style Pizza, good-enough slice pizza. But, I find it essential to achieve a balanced pizza, good amount of cheese, sauce, and crust. Been here a few times now and takeout a few times and it's always been amazing! The pizzas are great, we've had the arugula pizza, pizza campagna and the toscana. So far all have been great but the arugula is the best! Salads are also good with a generous portion of added chicken and the wine pours are huge for $7! read more

Tonight we decided to grab dinner and so glad we came to dinner! Mina was our server. She's been there as long as we have been going and she's just the absolute best server ever. She is incredibly friendly and professional and makes us feel so special. Tonight we had a small Greek salad and wings which we shared. The wings are huge and probably the very best in Stamford (see pictures). They were cooked absolutely perfectly. Go with complete confidence. There is almost one good thing about this place. ... if you want a good family restaurant and Hope Pizza Restaurant has a line out the door as usual... then you can come here around the corner. .. to the emptiness and wait twice as long for the service. Maybe they get the dish right. ..maybe the waitress doesn't spill the food. . Maybe the food might be yummy. .. maybe it won't have the A/c blasting in the middle of winter. ... maybe the experience will be good this time. ... I called at 10:15pm for a delivery to the Cove area of Stamford. Nick's is less then 2 miles away. They're open on Friday nights until midnight. I'm invalid and can't drive at night. They wouldn't help me. I'm so happy they spend money on advertising. Obviously they don't give a damn. read more

This is hands down the worst pizza I've ever had. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!! It's expensive, Tiny portions, very little cheese or toppings. The wings were tiny hardly had any meat and Burnt. All the food was bland, over priced and flavorless. It gave my family and I all horrible stomach aches. Since we threw out half the food I called about some money back and they laughed in my face and denied any problem. Go to micheals or slice of Stamford. Inflation has hit Nick's hard apparently. Been eating at Nick's for years and while the price was always high for a pizza the quality and generous toppings have more than made up for it. Recently we ordered a large pizza for delivery and were shocked at the difference. Every slice had at least 3" of crust drastically reducing the topping area. My wife and I had never been able to finish a large before due to how many toppings were on the pizzas, but we had no problem polishing off the reduced surface area and reduced toppings. For a $35 3-topping pizza you really expect more, the only saving grace is the pizza is still delicious. read more

A little ridiculous this place since Covid now charges you a fee to use credit cards no matter what PRICE your order is, (even if you spend over $100 you are charged for not using cash because they only want you to pay in cash). No where else in Stamford does this, only places that have a minimum which is understandable such as need to spend $10 to use a card. Will not be returning anymore. However my comments regarding my take home food were misinformed. We just had a group text about going somewhere to watch the NFL game tonight (Thursday). One of my friends said "Let's go back to Nick's so I can put shit in your pizza box again." After trading a few NSFW messages, it was clear that the staff at Nick's was NOT responsible for what happened to my take home pizza. I'm leaving the original review below as a warning to others that if something so stupid takes place, be suspicious of anyone OTHER than the staff at the restaurant. I obviously made an error in judgment that I regret. We will be returning to Nick's soon to "make up" for this poor behavior and errant review. I would also mention that the management/ownership at Nick's reached out to me several times in an attempt to make good on the situation. I have randomly ordered 8-9 times and for the most part have been stisfied. The pizza and sandwiches are great. Although I have some nit picks which I chalk up to laziness or whatever. I ordered 2 calzones one with sausage and I can't get why they are so small. For the price they should be pretty large. There was so little sausage I didn't see or taste I picked around and found ONE piece of sausage. Literally ONE piece. barely 3/8 diameter x 1/2 inch long. Both calzones were very stingy on ricotta and mozzarella and they didn't give me the extra sauce on the side. let's do the math. 2 calzones = 2 sauces. extra sauce = 3 sauces total. so 2+1=3. They would be almost perfect if they were not so stingy with the ingredients. SO guys take it up a notch and you'll be great. read more
