Im not sure where to begin! The food and service were amazing. We have driven by this lil ole place hundreds of times and never stopped in. Now it will be a regular stop! First, I opened the menu only to find a crisp $10.00 bill! At that point I already loved the place, but then the food came and glory be we found happiness with a tuna rueben and a cheeseburger! Looking for great seafood, etc., at moderate prices, with great service for lunch or dinner? The head out to the Relief Pitcher on the South side of Seaside, right off hiway 101. Yep, this place does not look like much fro the outside, and you will think the same when you get inside: but its the food ans service that counts. (and the drinks!) Average beer selections, but watch out for their specialty mixed drinks; potent! We have been passing by thi place for years, but when a friend who has a Seaside cabin took us here for dinner, we were hooked. To be sure the menu items are basic,and centered on fried foods. The fresh albacore fish (carved off a hunk of fish, and then cooked to your liking.), and the fresh hand cut fries are just awesome. And so are many of the other items on the menu. If you want a great burgers, sandwiches and drinks while visiting Seaside this spot is well worth stopping at. Great local entertainment especially if live music is on the agenda in their beer garden. You can join up for a horseshoe tournament or just hang out and visit with people either locals or vacationers. Very welcoming and Mike has worked hard to accommodate everyone. You will also enjoy the FRESH food and with drinks they'll use FRESH squeezed ingredients when possible. If it's cold and wet you can warm up with the warm rocks at the fireplace. You would never know it by just passing by, and easy to do so in-and-out of Seaside, but this is the best bar on the north coast. I hesitate to say the pastrami burger is the best burger in Oregon because I am not an official burger connoisseur, but I would take it over any hoity-toity burger trying to make a name for itself. Simply delicious and at a price that will make you come back even if you thought it was the 2nd best. I also hesitate to tell yelp how amazing the greyhounds are... it looks like back breaking work to squeeze those grapefruits, but order one and you'll be hooked. read more

My wife and I had dinner here while visiting the area​ in our motorhome. We each had a wonderful Tuna Reuben with coleslaw and a local beer. The proprietor was very friendly and provided great service. He had a nice selection of local beers. This is a very nice cozy establishment - not fancy. read more

Stopped by on a rainy Saturday evening during football season while driving through the area. A welcoming place with an obvious mix of regulars and passer-bys all enjoying the games on the several screens in the cozy space shared by tables and the bar. I'm a fan of the old fashioned, greasy burgers. While this burger was very nice, it didn't soak the white wrapping paper in grease. Fries were a hit! Hand-cut. The lady who served me was very friendly and nice. Glad I went, but the burger did not blow me away. read more

Pulled in @ 7:00p on a Sunday. Only a broken down car parked on the side of the building. The sign said Open, so I walked in cautiously. The friendly bartender greeted me with a smile & assured me they were open for business. I looked over the menu, which was pretty hearty for a bar menu. On the advice of others here, I opted for the pastrami cheeseburger. They give you the option of fries or slaw & I went with the fries, but she asked if I'd like a sample of the slaw since it was so good? I accepted. 10-15 minutes later, the cook/manager came out with a huge plate overflowing with a pile of freshly cut fries & a massive burger! Let me tell you, everything on that plate was incredible! I make great burgers at home, so I'm somewhat of an expert. This burger had all the essential element of a great burger. The flavor was perfect, not too salty or burnt or spicy or bland. One bite & the juices cascaded down my hand. The fries? Holy smokes! So delicious! Perfectly cooked & salted. Fresh cut fries, not frozen. And boy, they use very large potatoes! The slaw? Wow! It had the perfect slaw dressing & it had chunks of crunchy apple & cranberries mixed in. So yummy! As everyone has said, the outside of this place isn't much, but it's definitely worth making a trip to if you're coastal. read more

We stopped here because on an earlier "drive-by" looking for a place to grab a casual dinner, we noticed the place was packed with cars....thinking, this must be good if it's that busy. And it is that good. Definitely a locals bar/restaurant, but as tourists we loved it. Our waiter/bartender was super friendly and attentive. There's a pool table (free....ya don't see that often) and 2 local young men provided great entertainment for us as they played a few games. There's a horseshoe pit out back as well, multiple TV screens for game watching, and fascinating conversation going on between the locals at the bar. Hubby ordered an amazingly good grilled tuna fillet on sourdough. I couldn't resist ordering the burger with Tillamook cheddar and grilled onions and avocado. We ate every last one of the hand-cut fresh crispy fries, even though we had to loosen our belt buckles to fit it all in. Burger was perfectly cooked, juicy and flavorful. Don't bother with napkins.....just lick your fingers and be done. Just wish we were beer lovers. read more
