SO the saga continues. Bell Brothers has been at my home redoing Reliables "good work" all morning. Had to get an entire replacement coil, pump, and i dont know what else for the AC unit they "installed". Bell Brothers keeps asking me who is responsible for this level of work, I keep telling them it was Reliable. They understood better after I explained how Reliable installed the water heater wrong so it flooded, and the year it took to fix the super expensive sliding doors as well, it seemed to make more sense to them. read more

I had high hopes for this local family-run business, but unfortunately, our experience was extremely disappointing. From the beginning, the workers showed little regard for our home and property. They were messy, careless, and at times RUDE. The project manager did not come to check on the job until we called the office to complain, and even then, we never saw meaningful communication between the manager and the workers. As costumers, we expected better oversight and professionalism. We strongly recommend anyone considering doing business with this company to read the contract very carefully, particularly the section regarding property damage. We were surprised to learn how limited the company's responsibility is for damage to a costumers property leaving very little incentive for workers to take the care they should with someone else's home. The owner initially seemed like a nice and personable guy, but his attitude changed considerably once we voiced our concerns. We found his response unprofessional and disappointing. We truly wanted to have a positive experience and to support local business, which makes this whole experience even more disappointing. read more

I'm very happy with the work Reliable has done on my condo. Jerry's team did a great job with my kitchen sliding glass door. Shortly after the installation, Jerry came back to my house for a few adjustments on the door to make sure I was 100% happy with everything. I also want to compliment the highly detailed work Brant did installing led lighting in my living room and kitchen. He knew exactly where to place recessed lighting to illuminate my very dark living room. The last project I did with Reliable was a new shower tub and floor for my bathroom. This job was actually done about a year ago, but I wanted to post my experience along with how happy I was with the quality in how nice my house paint job came out. This was the second time I hired reliable home improvement to do a job completion. I live in a community where we all had to have our house painted because it had been 16 years when I bought new and my house paint was starting to fade badly and endanger of the framing of the house and Wood areas going bad because the paint was also starting to chip away. There were guidelines and certain colors and structure we had to follow for the my HOA. I couldn't have been more excited and happy how everything came out and I loved the color combination and helpful ideas that I received from reliable home improvement. We hired Reliable Home improvement to replace our roof, new front door and paint the entire exterior of our home. Every encounter was a positive experience. The design consultant, Christian, was friendly, honest and quick to respond to any questions and concerns. He and I were able to find a price point that worked in our budget. Next were all the project managers, Jerry (doors), Jeremiah W (roof) and Pat (paint). All were excellent with communication. We met all three prior to the start of any projects and they were knowledgeable about their area of expertise. They were spot on with their timing of projects. All three had a good rapport with their team. The roof team was the first team to start. David H, Tyler J, Jorge, James, Jeremia H, and Elmer took the time to answer all our questions and helped find the best spot for our Star link. They arrived every morning like clockwork at the time agreed upon. We have a very challenging roof with a high pitch and a turret which the guys tackled with ease. My only concern was all the nails and staples which the guys used a magnet to collect. This team always went above what was expected and honest every step of the way. Next came the paint team Airean, Steve, Marc and Alberto. Another awesome team! The attention to detail was evident every day and a true delight to work with. This team arrived every morning ready to begin the day. Airean always made sure to communicate the plan for the day either in the morning or the evening before. The door team came in between the other teams. I can't remember their names other than Jerry. I was really nervous about the front door going into the turret since the original door never really fit nice. Like everything on our home, it takes longer than expected to complete a project. With that , the new door fit in Perfect! We love it! Jerry the manager had to come finish a minor repair that was not a big deal. After reading some of these reviews, I'm so thankful I never got to the hour's long sales pitch. They knocked on the door, I met with an estimator the next day. Very simple job, replace some clogged up drainage. To my surprise, instead of just telling, texting, emailing me the quote; he wanted to go inside, sit down and have a conversation about it. I've been around long enough to know that means an unnecessary, long, potentially high-pressure sales pitch in lieu of competative pricing. Next thing I know this young man named Dallas came out and met with my husband and myself. Dallas was amazing, very professional and personable. Dallas worked with us and we ended up getting our dry-rot fixed and our exterior house painted. The Project manager Pat was great! The dry-rot crew Anthony and Charles were wonderful, communicated very efficiently and did a fantastic job. Reliable is not so reliable. They were scheduled for August 25, 7:30. Two guys showed up but the equipment to take out the driveway didn't show up until 9:15. The next day the driveway was poured, and they did a good job. But they left ditches on on the sides and broke a sprinkler. I called Patrick, left him a message telling him about the sprinkler and asking him where the dirt was to fill in the sides. A week later, I called him again. He answered and said that he got my message. I told him I had had the sprinkler fixed and he said he would reimburse me for the charge and that the dirt would be on the way. I called the company number, and explained all this, and was told it would be sent up to the owner. It is now October, and I have still heard nothing, I don't have my dirt, and I have not been reimbursed. read more

RELIABLE Home Improvement? That's a joke in itself. Where do I begin with this review? I promise I won't bore you with a long story, so for those just wanting a quick review, here it is: these guys are mediocre. Once they get their money, they ghost you and don't care about you. They give you a 5 year warranty, but will draw it out and ignore your concerns and their mistakes. I got my house worked on by them last year, which by the way, the team themselves did not communicate with each other on what needed to get done, so the cost fluctuated three times. They do the job, but as time went by, I noticed mishaps with the house. First, my 1st floor bedroom's ceiling started to leak. I called them and thought it was a window leak, but it was because they jammed my dryer vent lid open during the entire fall/winter season and water and gunk had been blown up there. I told them to please fix their mistake and they said they would, but kept putting me off. Patrick, the head project manager then said he would only replace the lid, but not fix the ceiling. I ask him to fix their mistake and he just ghosted me. Secondly, my side fence was blown over during the winter because they didn't nail it into the house or any post! The side fence blew down and damaged the molding. They took a week to get there and put it up, but didn't change or smooth out the molding. The dents are still there. This company is unreliable and if I could give them zero stars, I would. They may have done some good work, but a project worth $50k should have been taken more seriously. We had a large driveway and walkway replaced, as the existing was breaking up. Reliable's crew removed the existing, cut out many large redwood tree roots, installed several drainage inlets and piping to the street gutter. I was impressed about how hard they worked nonstop. Rebar 2'x2', compacted base and full 3.5 inch concrete. The concrete work was excellent. We provided a sketch as to how we would like the expansion joints to be done; somewhat complicated. In the early winter of 2023 the Reliable Home Improvement came to our house to resolve the issue with the patio roof, and whole fixing the roof they have destroyed the patio - it has slides of the main structure/house that it was attached to creating hazardous conditions for my little kids and the rest of the family if we were to use it. This business claims to have the warranty-resolve any issues within 5 years from the time the job done, but they do not follow their own guarantee guideline. Multiple times we tried to contact them but the owner has never responded or took ownership of the bad job done. We paid them $7k. And after the issues they created with patio we had to pay another $7k to fix it. Their excuse was that this was unauthorized structure. How come they have never brought it up to our attention until after they damaged it more than fixed, and collected their payment ‍‍‍We bought this house and did not know that. It was expensive but they did a nice job on remodeling my bathroom. The technician was very good and professional. The reason I did not give them a 5 was because I have a crackling noise in the wall. I called 3 different people in their company, but nobody returned my call. I had to repair the problem myself. They were very helpful in picking materials for the remodel. They just failed in follow up support. I called them also to ask if a final inspection by the county was necessary, but they never returned my call. We had previously hired Reliable to replace our storm door and upgrade our kitchen lighting from a fluorescent light box to recessed lighting. This time around we replaced our front patio cover with a pergola, had gutter guards installed, and had the attic insulation increased. Because of issues with the City Planning Department, the pergola took seven months to get permitted. Pat worked with us to come up with a design that the City finally approved; while not exactly what we originally envisioned, it turned out quite nice. Frank and the installation team put the pergola up to one morning. We did get the gutter guard installed pretty quickly, as was the addition of insulation in the attic. In both cases the crews were done in one morning. We've been in our house 40 years now and we noted that Reliable was the first contractor among the many we've dealt with who showed up when they said they would and got the work done in the time frame specified. Kudos to them for that alone! Michael has been our sales contact and he's been great, working with us to make sure each project falls within our comfort level. Had an 8-foot sliding glass Door replaced. Jerry verified that it could be replaced, took measurements, asked if I had any concerns. He then ordered the door and called me several times to let me know how things were coming along. SO nice not to have to call, leave a message, and hope for a call back. Then Colton arrived yesterday morning with the replacement window. He proceeded to remove the old slider door which seemed to be a challenge, but he just kept going after it and shortly thereafter had it out. Then installed the new slider. which took him a considerable amount of time as he was adjusting it until it squared up and opened and closed SO smoothly.
