From start to finish, this company really nails it! We had many companies walking our neighborhood since it's a new development and so we reached out to several of them to get a quote. As soon as we reached out to System, Steve was able to make time for us when other companies had us waiting at least a week just to look at our backyard project. Steve sat down with us, listened to what we wanted to do with our blank slate, and came up with a "phase 1"design that could fit within our budget. He never tried to upsell us and made sure we could see everything he was doing to fit the project within our budget... no backdoor deals or haggling. We really felt like he respected our resources and made sure to maximize what we could do. Once we agreed on a price and design, he told us when to expect work to start and that Jessica would reach out to help us further. She was great and was quick to schedule an initial walk through with Steve and the project manager, Frankie. They showed up to go over some of the minor details that needed clarification and made sure we were completely happy before moving forward. Steve showed us the website which was incredibly user friendly. We could see exactly where we were in the process and we always knew which milestones required our next payment. Despite the terrible weather through January 2024, Randyand his crew showed up right at 9 every single day that wasn't absolutely pouring. I couldn't believe how hard that crew worked while also making sure that every detail was attended to! They kept our property incredibly clean and never left for the day without thoroughly cleaning any dirt, mud, or debris. And while these guys were insanely fast, I never felt like they were not paying attention to detail. Steve created a very clear plan for the yard and this crew made sure that vision became a reality. Frankie stopped by several times to see how we felt about the process and always apologized for the days that the crew couldn't make it. Even with the bad weather, we were surprised at how fast they completed our project. This included over 600 sqft. Of pavers, about 50ft of mow strip, and another 50ft of curbing. Not to mention all of the grading and dirt removal as well as connecting our drainage system. I can't wait to pick up the phone and call Steve again when it's time for us to start phase 2! They came when they said they were going to come, they answered their phone calls and answered my questions, scheduled the install just 10 days after I signed the contract, and worked fairly quickly. I had started work on this area myself 2 years ago, and the thought of hauling all of the gravel, sand, and pavers to the back and the thought installing them myself become overwhelming for me. The critical factor in decided to have this done was when I calculated that 30 tons of material (soil excavated, road base and sand in, pavers in) would need to be carried. For my first contracted project, I wanted to screen multiple companies. After a few walk throughs with other companies. I settled with System Pavers because Steve Rector worked with me on down payments, financing options, and really evaluated my needs to get my project on budget. My project manager's name was Mark Trojanowski. As soon as he got to my home he started organizing all the pieces together laying out the plan in paint on the ground. Mark handled all the logistics my pavers arrived about a day after Mark walked through the project. Mark realized that I would need to get my awning (pergola) mounted to 16" footers to meet code and organized the installation within a day. Finally, I meet Isaac and his crew. They demolished the old concrete patio which was 7" thick and rebar reenforced. They worked 6 days a week. Only taking Sundays off the project. Issac was phenomenal he would inquire with me about every detail of my vision for my backyard. He would contrast that with his project plan drawings drawn out by Steve to make sure that the finished product was what I wanted. A) Anthony took the time to really understand what we needed and the problems we were trying to solve. In full disclosure, we were thinking about doing this project next year because of his thorough preparation we decided to put the work in motion right away. B) Despite very wet ground remaining from the days of storms (under the original terrible cement and pavers) and a day of rain, they kept the project to budget and are scheduled to deliver EARLY. Seriously, when does it ever happen with any construction projects? When we hit an unforeseen snag with drainage, Adrian proactively addressed the issue right away, and found us a solution that kept us in budget. C) A word on the crew. So professional, so fast, and strong beyond belief. I have never seen concrete and pavers, rolled in and out with such efficiency. The pictures don't do the work just (the day is so cold and gray), but it looks amazing. What horrible service! I was planning to incorporate pavers in my full frontyard and backyard hardscape along with the pool we are constructing. I made a consulting appointment to get a formal estimate and two days before the appointment they called to cancel because they did not know how big the project was. Isn't that the idea of an estimate? They lost out on a $100k project! If they do not want our money, you do not want them working on your project! As of today, I will find anothere vendor. read more

Having recently moved into a new construction home in Folsom, CA, my backyard was literally just dirt and rocks, which is pretty typical for new construction homes out here. I stumbled upon System Pavers by chance -- in fact, they had a representative walk my neighborhood around the time I moved into the neighborhood. After speaking to the rep, I gave System Pavers a call to obtain a quote to get an idea of how much it would cost to completely transform my backyard. To be honest, I was unfamiliar with the process, and part of the reason why I called was because I was also hoping that System Pavers would be able to assist in the design of the improvements for my backyard. Fast forward a couple of days, I got in touch with Albert Hagan (design consultant), and he definitely made a strong impression. After several visits to my home and phone calls back and forth over the next several weeks, my wife and I were so impressed with the proposed design that Albert laid out for us that we ended up deciding to go with System Pavers. We ultimately decided to get pavers throughout the entire backyard, a retaining wall across the backyard, lights, etc. We decided to get the "works," so it wasn't cheap, but given that this was our forever home, we were OK overextending ourselves a little bit financially to ensure that our improvements would be timely completed in accordance with our desired specs. Beau Johnston was our project manager for the job, and he was in touch with me throughout the whole process. It's actually impressive how fast Beau and his team moves. I thought given our scope of work, they'd be working on our backyard for over a month. They gave me a timetable of 1-2 weeks, and I didn't believe them. But somehow, they were able to get the job done in 2 weeks (even with a few rainy days in between). Starting from the design consultation with Bill Goff, we knew we were in good hands, as he meticulously took measurements and captured every detail of our requirements and thoughts, and converted what was a jumbled mess of "ideas" into a cohesive vision on paper with his design. During the design process he even drove over a couple of times to make sure he had all the correct measurements and details of existing landscaping captured. He presented a design that met every single requirement we had, and more! He showed us materials, color schemes, patterns and examples to make sure we understood exactly what the project would entail. We were collecting multiple bids/proposals at the time, but we knew we had to go with SP once we saw how tirelessly he worked on our design, often responding late in the night and answering all our Qs! Once we approved the project, Cesar Guzman took over as project manager, bringing Bill's vision to life with Jose and his crew. Working with Cesar has been an unparalleled experience! When you typically think of construction projects, you think of all the issues/delays/problems/headaches that you face and often a not-my-problem/tardy attitude from the construction crew. And with our project being so large, we were very nervous about this initially, but every morning Cesar checked in and made sure he did a walk through with us on all the updates, expected progress for the day and any challenges, and during these walkthroughs he made sure to alleviate every concern we had and more. His extensive experience and eye for detail helped him anticipate things in advance, he ensured we knew what to expect and often brought up things he noticed and stayed on top of the crew to address them. He even gave us tips on details and made sure we didn't have to worry about any of the hurdles that came up during our project, especially when there were some issues that occurred in alignment with some existing structures - he made sure they were taken care of without any effort/worry on our part! He even went out of his way and accommodated adding lighting to our project very late in the schedule, and made sure we got our dream front yard. Overall the finished product turned out absolutely stunning! Jose's crew came in early and stayed late, keeping the surroundings clean and neat every evening after they finished. They were polite and courteous, and installed the pavers making a lot of detailed cuts to ensure aesthetics along with proper gradation, leveling, drainage, which was crucial given a slight slope in our property. And they managed to finish the project a few days ahead of schedule, which is a feat for a project this size!
