Mike provided me with a quote for renovations to my backyard. After installing our pool last year, we lacked irrigation, drainage, and landscaping. The plans were visually appealing, prompting the commencement of work promptly. The concrete contractor, Frank, was responsible for installing the sidewalks. The results were exceptional. Subsequently, Josh, Gabe, and Memo commenced the hardscape installation. I must admit that I was apprehensive due to the necessity of extensive drainage and the installation of new irrigation systems. (My backyard is sloped from left to right, presenting a significant drainage challenge.) Mike accompanied me to Green Acres to select my plants. His expertise in plant selection was invaluable in ensuring that my preferences were met. Following the installation of the drainage and irrigation systems, the hardscape work commenced. Each day, I observed the remarkable progress and received regular updates. These professionals possess extensive knowledge and expertise. There were no issues encountered during the project. The team is exceptionally courteous and accommodating. I made minor modifications as we progressed, and the team readily accommodated my changes. I cannot express enough positive sentiments about this company. I intend to utilize their services for future projects. Thank you, Total Landscape Concepts, for your exceptional service. We worked with Mike who came out and talked with us to give an estimate, Mike also listened to the plant colors and styles I liked. He went with me to the nursery to pick out the plants together and then laid it out nicely for the plans of where everything would go. They had Frank and his team do the hardscape and we were happy with how that turned out as well. They did a great job, communicated everything to us, followed up, and Mike is so knowledgeable about plants. Our clients at the business have commented on how nice the landscaping looks now that it was redone. Highly Recommend! read more

We had an extensive amount of work done by Total Landscape Concepts during the fall/winter last year. We had a sprinkler system as well as a drip system installed and during this spring we had some issues with a few of the sprinkler heads not supplying enough water to the correct areas. I sent a picture of our lawn area to them and they called immediately and set up an appointment the following week. They came back a week later and completed the sprinkler head replacement process and tested. They weren't the lowest bidder when we initially started to get quotes but this shows the value of our decision as we had fantastic communication and service almost a year later. We couldn't be happier with their services as well as their communication. read more

Total Landscape Concepts - My sod I had laid in Oct - Irrigation Near Me

Total Landscape Concepts just finished replanting my front yard with all new plants and replacing sprinklers. I am thrilled. Mike Morales was very professional and knowledgeable. My wife and I have been wanting to put in concrete, a patio cover, and other improvements at our house. As is the case we had to wait a number of years to be in the financial position to move forward, and once we were a friend of ours recommended Total Landscape Concepts as they redid her yard. After contacting TLC David came by for an initial walkthrough and estimate. He impressed me with his professionalism, detailed questions, time he took with me to walk the premises, and insistence on covering any and all concerns I might have had. Not only did David come out for this work but he did it on July 4th! My wife and I did do our due diligence and serviced quotes from other companies just to make sure we covered the gamut. Pricing wise TLC came in middle of the pack or slightly lower than the others we approached, and included more work! Not only did we have concrete put in, we also had drainage, new gates and fencing for the side yards, all new sod and sprinklers for the backyard, the works. When it came to to start the work David brought in Ben for a lot of the day to day heavy lifting. Ben was diligent, courteous, meticulous in his craft, and so easy to work with. When David came on-site to help they could knock out quite a bit between the two of them. In the end we could not have been happier with the work these gentlemen and the company did for us. Even at the final inspection David noticed things like some of our sprinklers not reaching the full sod or a leaky water valve that he had promptly replaced by Ben the same day. The last thing I will say is that when we told David we were looking to put in a patio cover he provided us a great recommendation of Vern at New Dawn Awnings, who he does a fair amount of business with. I will complete a review for Vern on their page but we could not have been happier with that experience as well. Very fair pricing, quick install, and quality work. If you are looking to have any exterior work done at your house I would not hesitate to recommend David and his crew at TLC! read more

My name is Christine Percival; I have used multiple landscape companies throughout the decades, and this company far surpasses all of the others which were great. These folks are all about customer service on every level. Even in the pouring rain. I want to give high marks to Janelle who has come out to the property multiple times, when there were flooding issues, timer, problems among other things. She is quick to diagnose the problem and fix it on the spot. She is always kind, sweet, smart, and wanting to make sure the problem is remedied as quickly as possible. She works hard and is unflappable when it comes to all the problems landscaping can provide. She is never without a solution or will find someone right away if she can't solve the problem. read more

TLC was fantastic! They are honest, reliable, and deliver exactly what they promise and more. The crew (Memo and Markee) showed up on time, worked efficiently, and the results were better than I expected. To understand my comments below, you'll want to scroll down and read my original review at the bottom, (you may need to click on "read more") then the response above it (you may need to click on "read more"), and then this update above that. Because I value truthfulness, I need to comment on the response from owner Tim B.: "To ensure clarity and address any miscommunication, we'll be reaching out to you directly to discuss this further in person. Our goal is to understand your concerns better, revisit the details of our estimate, and identify where the breakdown in communication occurred. Thank you again for bringing this to our attention. Your feedback is invaluable in helping us improve, and we look forward to the opportunity to make things right." Nobody from the company contacted me. I sent a message to Tim B. inviting him to come and see what an incredible job Clear Cut Landscapes did on my yard for about $6700 (approximately 25% of what the cost would have been with TLC) and I never heard back. Not a problem for me since I got a beautiful yard within my budget, but I thought I should mention it here. If it was my company, I would have followed up on this review as he wrote in his response that he was going to. read more

We had TLC come out to update the landscaping for our new house and maintenance. Jeff was very helpful in picking out plants and setting up the project along with an irrigation audit. TLC isn't the cheapest option but they were the most thorough, and when it comes to my house I always choose quality over price. Gilbert and his team do the regular maintenance and they were prompt and do a great job. I look forward tobtheor maintenance along with our new plants. I recommend them. read more

Great service and no headaches! While I will be the first to tell you they are pricey, i feel like it's worth the cost because they are easy to communicate with, they show when they say they will (I've had trouble with landscapers who don't show reliably and it's such a pain!), they are quick, and I've found all of their employees to be respectful and professional. Recently I had a tree SMUD gave me planted by TLC. I probably could have done the work but it would have taken forever and I would have made a mess! Jeff got an estimate to me quickly and I was on the schedule within a week. Memo and Marvin put my tree in and made my irrigation system run to my new tree so quickly and cleanly I was shocked. They did lovely work and it was worth it to avoid another thing on my plate. nice work! read more

Super experience with this company. Memo and Marquis were awesome!! Greg came over to give me a bid and was very thorough. After they did the work, it ended up costing actually less than the bid because it didn't take as long as they thought it would. I was very happy with the results. They did the front and backyard and everything looks fabulous. read more

Jeff, Josh, and the whole team at TLC were amazing to work with. Jeff took our ideas and created a plan that was perfect for our space and also exactly fit our budget. Josh and his team completed our installation efficiently and to perfection. Each of them was a pleasure to work with. While my husband and I have done quite a few DIY projects in the space previously, it was so worth it to have Jeff's expertise in plant selection, mix, and layout. And Josh's professional hand at installation saved us tons of time. I cannot recommend TLC enough! read more

Paul came out quickly and provided a quote for exactly what we wanted. He was very professional and

I received horrible landscape services for a very high price. I tried and tried to get them to do what was promised in contract but the majority of the time they did not perform as promised. As a result of insufficient landscape maintenance my yard had weeds everywhere, volunteer growth coming out of shrubs bushes and decorative ground cover. They let problems grow and then I'd have much larger problems. One year they let my lawn die out in patches. I'm physically limited so I thought they'd eventually come around so I could avoid the process of finding a new company to take over our landscaping needs but there were only glimpses of TLC taking decent care of my landscape. i would send photos after photos with descriptions of problems to their office seeking help but they never consistently resolved the issues. So I had to fire them. I now have a company that is doing what the contract required for significantly less cost. I should have done it sooner. One positive the people were friendly. read more

Adding to my prior review with more "5"stars making it TEN stars!! TLC completed our perfect side yards, tree and shrub care, weekly maintenance for our front and back yard, and now selected the perfect replacement plants for the sage bushes we removed and the perfect beautiful Japanese Maple tree! Everyone on the team and working at the company projects knowledge and true professionalism, always prompt and such great attention to detail. read more

Scheduled appointment 2 weeks out for estimate to plant a tree as they couldn't give estimate on phone. They only had mid-day apts so I took the entire day off. I waited for their arrival for 2 hours, tried to call and text with no response. Eventually they called and stated they attended their daughters basketball practice and forgot to cancel our apt. I sat waiting on my day off, not doing activities with my own kids. They advised me to text photos of where I wanted my tree planted and they would give me an estimate. I took and texted pics to them and they again never responded. Complete disrespect of others time. Would not recommended bothering to even try and get an estimate with them, obviously they lack follow through and professional customer service. read more

The TLC team has been taking care of our routine and seasonal landscape maintenance ever since we moved to the area. Gilbert and his crew are considerate, efficient, and reliable. They even proactively respond to severe weather in ways I never expected. After a major wind event, they called to ask if we had any downed limbs or trees that we needed removed. That was outside of our regular weekly visit, at no additional charge. We really appreciated how they anticipated the need and responded to it without waiting to be asked. read more

We looked high and low to find a company that could handle all the aspects of caring for a drought tolerant landscape. Most companies are just mow and blow but after our initial consultation we felt confident they would handle all the aspects required to keep all the plants healthy year round while controlling the one you don't want. We met Gilbert, who is overseeing the crew handling our yard. He was very motivated and insistent that he wanted to be sure that all the issues important to us would be handled. We have just started working with them but I am already very excited and confident our yard is in good hands! read more

Honestly, they exceeded what I expected on this first visit! I'm looking forward to the future visits and having our yard in tip top condition! Thanks Gilbert and Team!!! read more

Great service and fantastic work on yard clean up at my house this week from Josh, Jenelle, Paris, and Memo. The TLC crew was friendly and professional and my yard looks great with weeds removed, greenery trimmed, and a fresh layer of bark that makes everything pop! Happy customer here! read more

We had Jeff come out for an estimate on backyard clean-up & trimming of our drought-tolerant yard. He worked with us to get the cost in line with the job. Day of the job, the Specialty crew of Jenelle & Blake arrived on-time; we walked thru to review the job and they got right to work. They cleaned up all debris, trimmed all the plants just as we discussed, replaced bark & mulch, and meticulously cleaned up all trimmings afterward. Overall they did an outstanding job, and accomplished in 3 hours what would take us a week or more! We are completely satisfied with Total Landscapes, and we would not hesitate to use them again or recommend them to anyone. read more

Im sure the company does great work. However, I just noticed two of their employees blocking the street for over 2 hours instead of parking ( cars had to go around them). They weren't doing any yard work. They were smoking and throwing the buds outside their car. Currently California is on fire and some of them are started by idiots as these. The last thing I would want is for these kind of employees working for me. read more

It was easy to communicate to TLC's office, business manager, and crew. They always picked up their phones and answered their emails. The ground crew (the "M" crew) was great and followed up on everything they did. When I asked them to put some soil to fill the 5" gap under a shared fence, they got right to it and knew just what to do. They took the time to think through the solution and got it right. If the first solution didn't work, they had another plan. If I had any questions, they were happy to oblige. Yes, it may cost a little more, but it is far better than trying to contact individual contractors that I might have to sort through to get individual tasks, e.g., irrigation, cleanup, and plant installation done. read more

Called and was able to schedule a visit by Jeff to get an estimate. Walked over the property good exchange, and suggestions. Called twice, left voicemails each time, no emails, returned. No texts returned. Totally Ghosted!!! Totally rude, and screwed our schedule to get the work needed done!! How could anyone trust these people read more

Overall: 0/5 Customer Service: 1/5 (The admin staff was nice) Pricing: 0/5 We just moved into a house that has not had a lot of updating since it was built in the 80s. A huge issue is the drainage on the property, which is on a hill. We wanted to add a drainage system and convert a patch of tanbark back to the lawn area it was originally (inclusive of sprinklers). Since the area had existing sprinklers, we wanted to see if we could get a company to help us reconnect, and do the drainage. Total Landscape was recommended on Facebook and so we reached out. Every correspondence took much longer than anticipated. TLC eventually came out to give us a quote, and would only provide a verbal quote of $7500. They said they sent the pdf of the quote, but claimed it was my email account preventing us from receiving it. They also said they couldn't give us specifics until the did an audit of the sprinklers and drainage, and it would cost $900 (4 hours for 2 workers). I tried to push on what they would learn, and how much it would save us. They kept emphasizing it would save thousands of dollars, and it was to do a full run down of our systems. I finally gave in, and I regret it. It took 3 hours, the drainage even less (as we had NO system to evaluate). And I was still charged $900. After WEEKS of conversing, I finally got a quote (turns out they had my email wrong the whole time and never double checked it). The quote was higher!!! For ~$9K!!!! And the drainage would be to my back neighbor, who is lower elevation to me, not the front of the house, which is the proper way to do it. So, it would have been the same cost to get a whole new system, in a third of the time, and done better. And, they refused basic improvements other companies were offering to include. I can't believe I wasted $900 and 2 months of my live playing phone tag. read more

If I could give this a ZERO I would. This company is not reliable, they don't care what the customer wants and they do not follow up with you prior to them completing the job. We were quoted to have our front yard leveled, graded and take out roots from an old tree that we had taken down a year ago. So basically have it be ready to lay down sod, which my husband and I were going to do. First they called me the day they were supposed to start the job and said they will not be coming that day so they will be coming the following day - fine, I understand things come up. Then about 2-3 days later they told us that they needed to rent a machine which was $450.00 to take out more of the roots so they can level it. So we agreed to pay the extra money and let's just say majority of the roots were still in the ground when they were supposedly done. I think that was all a play to get more money out of us. Let's fast forward to over a month later and they just stopped showing up and didn't even tell us that they were done. We found out they were done when we kept getting harassing calls that they needed our money now. Come to our surprise we didn't even know they were done! The front yard didn't even look ready to put sod down. My husband had to re level it and take 2 full trailer loads of dirt and roots after the fact. I tried to call and have the supervisor call me, and I was told that the owner would call me. Still waiting for that phone call, almost a month later. These guys will sell you that they will do everything right but really they do bare minimum work and not even do the job correctly. Find another landscaper. This company is not worth your money. read more
