Wanted to remove the old grass and shrubbery and go for something clean and our own which we could add plants to ourselves. Owner and lead supervisor are extremely great with open lines of communication and the crew is FAST and highly efficient. Would recommend them again and again!!! Seamless!!!!!! They did exactly what we had envisioned and it was an EASY experience.

Paved back yard with real grass and plants installed on slope.

These guys were great! Michael is so easy to work with. His crew chief Ruben is as well. They both walk the job with you beforehand and start a group text so you're in constant communication and everyone involved is on the same page.

    What they started with.

Lavish Gardens Landscape gave us the backyard that we have been waiting for for almost 20 years. From meeting with Robert the designer to having the work done by Shane and his crew I knew we were in good hands. I love the model that they use, the crew is not spread out over a number of different projects at one time. They come in and do the project to completion and then move onto the next one. I love this because it makes less of a chance to get materials and needs confused with multiple ones running at once with the same crew. Robert worked with us on a design from the start. We had a rough sketch of what he wanted and a basic idea of how we wanted it to look and he made it into a blue print that was exactly what we wanted and how we saw it in our mind. He had a couple of edits and a complete revamp at one point and he was flexible with us and willing to work with the budget that we had. He was open and honest with us and that speaks volumes to us. We did end up upping our budget on this project but it was money well spent. If you are lucky enough to have Shane the supervisor for your project and Josh is with him you will be assured you will get the best that they can do. Shane always welcomed me to come out and see what was happening and learn about what was going in and how to maintain and fix things if needed. Shane is always making sure that the work being done is done to what the client wants and willing to make changes if needed. Our waterfall was the main obstacle in our project and that was Shane's baby. He worked on this so hard and put so much thought into it, we knew he cared for us not only as clients but as people as well. Josh knowns his craft and knows how to do it well. He always checked in from the wall to the sod to the sprinklers, he always made sure it was done as the client would want it. Lavish Garden Landscape Designer Robert made a dream become the blueprint/plan. Shane, Josh and the rest of the crew brought the design into reality. We love the work Lavish did.

We had a large side yard with garden beds and fruit trees that had gotten out of control with weeds and overwhelming. We wanted to save the trees, replace the garden beds with professionally installed taller country manor stone ones, and have low-maintenance ground cover to replace the problem areas. Dan with Lavish Gardens was prompt to schedule a visit and provide an estimate. And very responsive for answering questions and providing revisions. Others we got an estimate from became unresponsive. We were assigned a project manager and start date promptly after signing and are absolutely thrilled with what was accomplished in less than two weeks! The team was very professional, we love the new garden beds, trimmed trees, and ground cover! And they were very professional about cleaning up when the project was completed. Highly recommend! We're already planning to have Lavish Gardens update our front landscaping next year!

I've waited an entire year to post this review but felt like it was finally time to share my experience with lavish gardens. Our start date was supposed to be mid April 2021 and it didn't start until mid May 2021. I was annoyed but moved past it because of all the labor shortages at that time. The other issue I had was that while the crew was amazing ,they were split between multiple job sites which essentially turned the quoted 4-6 week time line into 3 months. Again, I realize last summer was nuts with folks doing home improvement projects but for me the biggest issue was the communication. I constantly had to follow up with my projector manager to get updated timelines and ensure that the project was moving along. At the end of the day, and as mentioned a year later, I'm really happy with how everything turned out. We constantly get compliments on how nice the yard turned out, and all the work they did was done right. I even had an issue a few months after they finished, and they came back to fix the problem right away. Hopefully they have hired more crew members and have sorted out the challenges they faced last year. I also want to give a shout-out to their front office staff. They were always so kind and understanding every time I called with an issue I was facing. If you want good quality work I'd recommend lavish gardens even if the timeline didn't go exactly as planned

Wow! I am absolutely in love with my fresh new landscaping. Everything is auto drip irrigated with very little plant maintenance required.

I had Lavish do my landscape front and back a few months ago. Sadly one of my plants (an azalea) looked completely dead and two others (both lavender so maybe I picked the wrong plant) look iffy. Everything else is growing in very nicely so far. I sent a message with a picture of the dead looking azalea and they came right away with a replacement!

After several consultations and estimates from many different landscape companies my wife and I…read morechose to go with Brandon and his crew at Reliable and couldn't be happier with the results. We had been sitting on a landscape design and needed someone to bring the vision to reality. Brandon immediately translated our plan into his software so we could discuss options and take on suggestions for improvement. He was quick and precise in making adjustments to appease our HOA and fit within our budget. The crew was meticulous in their work on the yard. If it was on the plan it was replicated in the yard. If we saw something that needed a slight adjustment they were happy to accommodate. I recall a situation where we needed a concrete walkway to go wider around an AC unit. The crew quickly responded by forming a wider path. Nate was great at scheduling project dates and also helped to make sure our AC units were reinstalled in a timely manner after our concrete was poured. We were relieved to have them up and running again before a forecasted heat wave arrived. Brandon was there at every stage of the project and was always quick to respond. He was at the nursery with us when it came time to choose the plants, making suggestions for plants that best fit our specific environment. During the middle of construction a rain storm hit our area and we had some concerns about how the yard would handle it in an unfinished state. He came out late at night to make sure the drainage would be okay until the storm passed. Upon completion of the project he was there to make sure everything was tidied up after the final walkthrough. If someone were to ask me for a recommendation on a yard install or remodel I would surely tell them to call Reliable Landscape and Design.

Reliable Landscaping? This company is the furthest thing from reliable…read more I completely regret choosing this company and trusting them with a major project. We signed a $67,000 landscaping contract with this company in March. While we understood the initial weather-related delays, the way our project was handled afterward was extremely disappointing and unprofessional. On our scheduled project start date (May 26th) no one showed up and we received no phone call, email, or update. After taking time off work to be home for the project, we had to call the company ourselves, only to be met with confusion and surprise, as if they were unaware our project was even scheduled to begin. They then scrambled to contact employees and send someone out later that day for a "walk through." This is something that should have been completed well before the scheduled start date. We were then assured work would begin the following morning at 8:00 AM. By 10:00 AM, no one had arrived and again we had received no communication. When we called for answers, an employee told us the owner and our project advisor should have already been at our house to speak with us. That had never happened. When we calmly expressed our concerns about the repeated lack of communication, the no call/no show, and the fact that we had now missed multiple days of work for nothing, the owner, Brandon, immediately responded by asking if we wanted to cancel the project. We explained that cancellation was not our goal. We simply wanted accountability, communication, and follow-through. Brandon then stated, "I don't like the tone you have. I've been in the landscaping business since the 90s. I have 9 other projects going on and I don't like your tone, so we can just go ahead and cancel this project." At no point were we disrespectful. We were frustrated customers trying to understand why a major project had been mishandled from the start. For a company handling projects of this size and cost, we expected professionalism, communication, and BASIC reliability. Unfortunately, our experience has been the exact opposite. I do not recommend doing business with this company.

Andrew Rogers, the owner, was extremely difficult to work with. He was dismissive and unresponsive. In hindsight, I should have walked away from this company when Andrew made a big point of the fact that he does not come on site during the project. I questioned how his crew would know what to do. He assured me that he communicated with his crew every morning, and it would all be fine. Andrew does not communicate well with his crew. The errors began on Day 1 and continued throughout the project. On Day 1, I watched the crew start ripping up my existing mulch and weed fabric (the plan was to leave it). Then I watched them start putting back the now ripped up fabric. The crew told me they had made a mistake... My husband went out to look at the French Drain they were suppose to be installing. He questioned the crew because it didn't look like a French Drain to him. They said "Oh no. French Drains cost a lot. This isn't a French Drain." Well; thank goodness my husband noticed because they would have covered it with dirt, and we would have never known they had not installed the proper drain! We were paying $2400 for that French Drain. So they had to redo that. We were texting Andrew telling him that we were becoming alarmed because his workers did not seem to know what to do. Andrew was not answering my texts with my concerns, so I had my husband start texting him. Andrew would reply to my husband's texts, but not mine, even though I was the one who hired him, signed the contract and was going to pay him. I suspect he does not respect women. The design called for the continuation of an existing creek bed which Andrew said he could match, and the addition of some sod. When the rocks were delivered and did not match, he put the blame on us for not selecting the correct size rocks. We had hoped the "professional" landscaper would be able to match the rocks, and not put the burden on us. Thank goodness we were home throughout the project because the creek bed was not according to the design, and had to be redone multiple times. When we asked where the additional sod was, the crew said they didn't know anything about that. We were begging Andrew to come on site to guide his workers, since his crew was doing so many things wrong. On the 2nd to last day, Andrew finally came over to our property, only because we were so upset. Due to all the mistakes and redos, the project took longer, and on the last day the crew were rushing to leave. My husband went out to test the drips as they were leaving, and there was a huge leak. The crew left without putting drips on several plants, and we only noticed when plants started dying in a few days. We had to call them back because they never flushed the drip line and all the emitters became clogged and the plants were not being watered. We have asked Andrew to help us with the stretch of dying sod which they installed, and Andrew has ghosted us. Andrew sent us the final invoice on the last day. When I questioned the plant count and gallon sizes, he responded by sending me a new invoice with an additional $1200 of new charges he made up after the final invoice; I guess because he was mad I questioned the plant count? When I told him that overcharging is actually illegal, and we might need to contact the State Licensing Board, he quickly removed the charges. Although our project cost over $10,000 we wonder if maybe Rogers Landscaping does not want to bother with smaller landscaping projects. The crew he sent was not equipped to follow an intricate design. Andrew's communication with us, and with his crew was horrible. He does not own up to his company's mistakes.

I called and spoke with Randeep, who scheduled me within 2 days with an irrigation specialist. I had an appointment this past Wednesday for Danny to come by and take a look at the leak. Not only did Danny fix the leak, he replaced the valve completely with newer, more up to date parts as my home is 20+ years old. After addressing the original issue, he noticed that two of my sprinklers were not functioning and replaced them, even without me asking! Wow! He then recommended that I replace my sprinkler timer as well, since it was also an older/outdated model. I purchased a new timer, in which he took the time to walk me through step by step to make sure I understood how to use the timer and make necessary adjustments and also made sure to go through the schedule not once, but twice to ensure I was satisfied with the watering schedule and overall water flow. During the walkthrough, I noticed there was a huge leak coming from a drip line in my backyard that caused a puddle in my lawn. He explained that the leak in the drip line may have been caused my running it over with a lawnmower or by me accidentally hitting the line with a weed wacker. I asked Danny how much it would cost for him to fix the leak, and he said, "This is such an easy fix, I'm almost positive you can fix it on your own." I trusted them with my hard earned money. It wasn't enough to motivate them to do a decent job. We spent thousand and got the laziest, most low effort job I've ever had done on anything in my house. Kevin seems to know what he's talking about, and is easy to work with. But when it came time for work to be done, all bets were off. Do not be fooled. Here's what happened. A couple of years ago we paid a lot of money to have a lot of plants planted and our watering system overhauled because we were having watering issues. Planting - many of the plants died because they were planted in unsuitable spots (spots they chose) and many plants have never really died but never grown or looked healthy. I finally decided to dig those ones up and I KID YOU NOT, many of them weren't even planted in the ground. They were planted in the mulch, sitting on top of the weed barrier (see picture). One had half the root ball just exposed. More than one plant was planted with the large plastic plant label in the ground blocking the roots. At the end, they said they couldn't bury the new drip lines because there wasn't enough mulch, so I went out and spent 45 minutes doing it no problem. They were so lazy that if they couldn't dump a bunch of new mulch to cover the lines, they weren't interested. Worst of all, they didn't even fix the irrigation system I needed them to fix. The Watering - A huge concern we had was the watering system since many plants were being over-watered and dying from rot. Once they finished their work I doubled checked with the foreman that the problem areas where fixed and he assured me they were. Guess what, they didn't even touch it! They just left the system I put in and all the plants died due to over watering. I have since found many more issues. Please be warned. Like I said, I trusted them with thousand of my hard earned money. Money that meant a lot to me. I guess it wasn't enough to get them to do a respectable job. EDIT - Kevin's response is typical and should worry customers. Its: 1. I'm so sorry you weren't more aggressive about being on top of our numerous mistakes. You expect some mistakes but when the errors are so incompetent (plugging in emitters backwards so they drown you plants) its absurd to put it on the customer to double check ALL work. 2. He clearly didn't read the review because that would have answered the questions he is asking. 3. I mention why it took me so long to respond. I mention the watering problem and that it had nothing to do with equipment failure. And I mention that the problem wasn't plants being planted for proper drainage, but rather not even planted in the soil. Literally on top of weed barrier and buried in mulch. 4. Finally, I didn't say I buried the irrigation in dirt, I was able to easily bury it in the mulch that his team said was too difficult. AND I did have him come back to replace plants that died immediately. He worked hard to convince to leave the sickly ones still in to give them more time. BE CAREFUL. Seems like he has a few teams and some are great. But his response to my complaints should concern everyone. He should have said, "I am so sorry we missed the mark here, can I call you to discuss?" Pictured below, a plant planted in mulch and ON TOP of the weed barrier A tree stake that was planted about an inch in the ground and gave no support An emitter plugged in backwards and drowned our plant.
