My family has a very long history with the Petkus Brothers company. My mother had a sunroom built by the company in the 1980's. Shortly after the installation, the room leaked. I remember my mother asking, "Did I buy a disposable room!" They never did come out and fix the leaking ceiling. My father had to fix it himself! Fast forward to 2024. A tornado did, in fact, go through our area and damaged our sunroom. The insurance agency suggested we go through the original builder to fix/repair/replace the structure. Against my better judgement, we called in Petkus Brothers. The salesman was charming! The team that built the room was "salt of the earth"; wonderful! However, less then two months after the room was finished, we noticed a window had failed. Moisture(ie water) had gotten between the panes of glass. I called the company and was forwarded to Jim. He is the supervisor of the repair department. He said he would file the claim with the glass company. He did. I called him every month to check on the claim. He told me the glass company was 3-6 months out. Each time I called, Jim grew more and more rude and unprofessional. During the final week of calls he yelled at me to call the glass company myself! I did. They told me that my window had been in "will call" waiting to be picked up by Petkus Brothers. Just to put perspective on this, the room had been completed and the window failed two months later. The claim had been filed to the glass company (by Petkus) at that time. The glass company responded within 7 days. I was still calling Jim 2.5 months later. The glass company reported to me that Petkus had failed to pick up the glass and had not completed their part of the replacement process. Jim was exceedingly rude to me and yelled that the glass company was delinquent in their handling of the situation. Upon my last discussion with Jim, he offered a fast replacement of the glass panel "at their expense " and he would deal with the glass company. He had been caught in his misrepresentation of the truth. He promptly went on vacation! My case was then handed off to Maryann. She called me with many apologies. She called before the the Petkus workers arrived to complete the repairs with the promise of a follow up call. I must say, it had been two days and she still has not called! The replacement was made. Again, the workers were wonderful! So, my feedback is, the actual workers are wonderful! The higher ups, are horrible! The real Petkus Brothers need to clean up the front office and fire all of the unprofessional management that are horrible! I would NEVER recommend this company! If you do choose to use them, be prepared for a fight that lasts for months WHEN something goes wrong. They are friendly when taking your money, but they are nasty when something goes wrong! read more

Unfortunately the leak returned, was repatched and returned again, along with many cracks in the stucco wall. Petkus stopped returning my calls, I got frustrated and posted a poor yelp review, which got their attention. The leak was then repaired again, the stucco cracks filled, and the wall repainted. So impressed! I called to inquire about new windows for my old sunroom and the owner, Kevin, came out that day. Kevin said that new windows would cost me too much, so he would try to find a way to just repair them.
