Alex and his crew just finished installing our patio screens. I wanted to take a minute to compliment them on their fine work . Our screens look absolutely beautiful and were installed with tremendous detail. The detail included painting the screws used to install the supporting metal rods to match the color of the rods. We've now had two construction projects done by them. We had one that involved two patios, a slatted pergola and electrical and the more recent one that involved drainage, irrigation, and lawn. We've had wonderful experiences with both projects. We've worked closely with Ismael on both. We've had a lot of work at our house done and I've worked with a lot of companies on various repairs. Ismael is truly one of the best from communication to knowledge to flexibility and the actual work. Both projects went very smoothly in a timely manner. The real differentiation was how willing Ismael was to answer my questions and work with us. As they were working on the back irrigation I noticed some issues with our front lawn irrigation. I had gotten a notice from the city that our water was continuously running. We had just installed a pool but I realized it was some leaking in our front irrigation. Without missing a beat Ismael took a half hour out of his day to check our front irrigation and help me figure out a few issues. I was obviously a bit stressed because we had just invested on an expensive in ground pool and was concerned the leaking stemmed from that. The fixes were simple; the electrical wasn't fully connected on the front sprinklers and one of the valves needed to be cleaned to stop the water from continuously running which was causing the leak. This had nothing to do with the backyard irrigation but he so generously offered a helping hand. They finished their project and a few days later I noticed a pool of water in a different space. I reached back out to him and he came out the next day to check it out and see if it was anything related to their project. It wasn't. The issue again had to do with the front yard irrigation system and this time the drip. He just went ahead and fixed it and showed me the problem no questions asked. Some contractors skimp and some do anything to squeeze as much money out of you and use as little time as possible. Ismael is committed to working with and providing a genuine service. I noticed this with his guys too. They were willing to help me troubleshoot my irrigation issues up front even though it was not connected to the current project. This is truly commendable and in my opinion shows a company committed to not only doing great work but creating a safe and enjoyable experience for the client. This is worth it to me even if they charge a bit more. The quality of the work but also the effort they put into the relationship is crucial. For that I highly recommend creative patio works. I highly recommend Creative Patios for any of your backyard needs. Two years ago, they built us the most beautiful patio cover I could ever imagine. They listened to my ideas and my hopes and created exactly what I wanted. In addition to a beautiful patio cover, they constructed brick pillars to match the rest of my house and installed electricity for a fan and lights. My family and I feel like we got a whole new room in the backyard. And that's where we started spending most of our time. Then this year, we called them back to replace the patio flooring which consisted of, cracked tiles and concrete that was old and unappealing. They recommended stained and stamped concrete as a replacement and began work immediately. The work crews were hard-working and respectful and very professional. They worked every day, showing up as promised until the job was done. I have had other work done around my house by different companies and sometimes the crews showed up and sometimes they didn't. This was not the case with Creative Patio. Ismael was the head of our project, and I cannot say enough good things about him. Ismael consulted with me through every phase of the project and led his work crews with attention and focus. The results are incredible. I feel like we made an investment in the value of our home that goes above and beyond what we paid. More importantly, it is just beautiful and so inviting. Family and friends are drawn to the backyard instantly and I feel like we could live back there if we had to and be very happy. What am I saying? We do live back there now! I am going to give Alex & his team 5 stars...I would give him more if I could and I will most certainly post pictures (once my paint project is complete). I needed to do a fairly large remodel at my home and I couldn't GIVE my money away to find a contractor. This project consisted of demolition, new concrete pad as well as building a new patio cover. I had messaged Alex on Yelp and didn't hear back from him initially...a few weeks went by and he responded and we got an appointment for Gary to come out and bid the job. I met with Gary, he came out, looked at the scope of work and gave me (what I felt was a fair and reasonable price). I signed the contract right then. I will say that during the project we encountered some issues...(NOTHING THAT HAD TO DO WITH CREATIVE PATIO WORKS and EVERYTHING TO DO WITH MY HOME) but Alex put me in contact with people that could assist in fixing those issues. The team came out, installed a new slider then got to work on the demo. Once that was done, they tore out all our old concrete and laid a new slab before installing the patio cover. I was hesitant to do this project because I would lose 400+ SQ but honestly after all is said and done, I have a dope little chill spot in my backyard...I don't even miss the room that was there. Contracted Creative Patio Works to install a louvered/motorized Equinox patio cover in a new backyard. Alex and his team worked closely with our landscaper and pool builder. Pool builder took longer than expected and CPW was prompt in moving along soon after getting the green light. Alex was always available by text and phone. He was also able to adjust the size of the structure on the fly when we needed one of the sides a little longer than initially planned. CPW seems to be one of the few companies in the area that can install louvered shade structures. We were initially trying to decide between Apollo and Equinox and Alex said Equinox had better reliability and quality. They hand dug all 4 of the footings (3 x 3 x 3 feet!) in the hot sun and cleaned up the job site every day. The frame of the structure is black and they made sure everything matched (downspout, transformer box, electrical outlets). They were able to add on smart home controls and automatic rain sensors for a fair price. read more

I would give this company a zero star review if it were available. I had a patio cover installed back in 2022 and at it looked great, but as soon as the rain started the patio cover started leaking in several areas and has been leaking ever since. I have had to contact the company on numerous occasions and every time I speak to the owner he basically denies any liability and blames the leaking issue on something on my end, such as clogged gutters, etc., my gutters are never clogged and every time he has claimed it was something on my end I have proven him wrong. The owner is rude and unprofessional and refuses to do the right thing. The patio cover was improperly installed and defective. Every time they claim to have done some repairs and resolved the leak it only makes matters worse and the patio cover continues to leak. I would avoid using this company unless you want a patio cover that leaks. read more

We've done a few things to our home, and the patio cover has made a significant difference. The shade in summer heat is amazing, and sitting out and listening to the rain is super nice too. I often spend more time on the patio than the rest of the home. We opted for the full cover with adjustable LED lights and a fan. The fan could be more powerful but we supplied it. A heater would be great. Not sure if this is an option. The install was flawless. I've waited a few years before commenting. I had a minor leak at a seam and the service was extremely professional. It took about two weeks or maybe three but the issue was minor so no concerns there. Our cover is about 16x22. I wish it was bigger and that I had another cover or two in other areas of the little yard. I currently have an 8 x 4 foot patio table under it with 6 large patio chairs. Lots of parties and gatherings. There isn't enough room for adding a ping pong table, but close. We have the table close to center and there is always somewhere under it that is dry even in the heaviest wind/rain or shaded , and it is tall by request - about 9 feet from ground to ceiling. This also reduced fan effectiveness so I may extend the fan lower. Ultimately I am super happy with this company. For one, their product. But more importantly, they are professionals in all aspects and a real pleasure to work with. The squared away owner even came out for the service issue and provided helpful tips. read more

These guys were great! Seached contractors from San Jose to Sacramento and these guys were by far the best choice. Alex was honest and designed my patio cover with exactly what I wanted and they were about $4-5K cheaper then the rest. They installed fiberglass columns and upgraded the roof with lattice that gave it a nice touch. Alex also suggested that we only go with 3 columns and not 4 which would be cheaper and that he would install 3, 3foot concrete footings into our patio and it would make it a lot more open. Alex included the installation of all fans and lighting where the others charged extra. The crews always cleaned up when they were done and fixed even the smallest things that I pointed out that was overlooked. Everyone loves hanging out under our insulated patio cover even on 100+ degree days. Thanks again for pimping out our back yard. :-) read more

My husband and I have been limping along with temporary tent/gazebos for years because we either couldn't justify the cost of a permanent structure, or find one we really liked. Then we saw a display at a Home and Garden Show that was just perfect. They offered a free estimate, so what did we have to lose? We signed up. I am really glad we did. We got the best estimate ever, and added a few things we didn't even know we could get. We opted for a 10'x18' cover, with two fans and an electric outlet. We were able to choose our own fans and leave them in the boxes for the cover installers to put in. They got our permit for us and arranged for the inspection after the cover was installed. Once a date was set for installation, Daniel and Alex arrived promptly and finished the job in less than 6 hours. That includes set up, installation and clean up. They even vacuumed the patio! We were extremely happy with the entire process. Everyone we encountered with the company, from the office staff to the installers, were professional and courteous. Since the cover was installed, several of our neighbors and friends have dropped by to see it. They all loved it and wanted to know who put it in. After reading good reviews, I decided to give them a call. There is a very crusty, grumpy woman who answers the phone. Not the person I'd put on my phone, but okay. I left a message with my phone number and didn't get a call back. I called a second time a week later. I did get a call back while I was at work where I can't take the call. So I called back after work (4pm) only to have the crusty secretary inform me that the girl who makes consulting appointments leaves at 3pm. I asked if there was ever anyone after 3 pm. i loved working with creative patio works. they were very professional, very accommodating, and helpful in their advice and ideas. i initially met with juan, who was very attentive, respectful, and knowledgeable. He patiently helped me through the different options so that we can work within my budget, and we came up with my ideal patio cover. juan did not pressure me at all and instead promptly responded to any follow up questions that i had. we also met with alex, the engineer, who was just as professional. most importantly, i interviewed several other contractors and they had the best bid. unfortunately, i went with another company, only because i really wanted to hang a hammock, and creative patio works was not able to guarantee that. i appreciate their honesty and extra precaution in building the patio cover. the hammock came at a premium, though, because it was quite a bit more over what i would have paid with creative patio. nevertheless, i enjoyed my experience with creative patio works, and would definitely recommend them to my friends and neighbors. read more
