I had Manuel stain my concrete 2 years ago. It began to peel off and I asked him if he would be able to fix it. He said he'd come by and look at it. He never did. I've messaged him several times, but no response. I realize it's been 2 years but, I expected it to last longer than that. read more

In March we had our driveway replaced by Sanders Concrete Construction near the South Land Park Terrace / Greenhaven Area. It was 50 years old and badly damaged due to age and tree roots. They were referred to us by a neighbor, as they had previously done concrete work for the HOA park in our neighborhood as well as other neighbors. They consulted with us about what would be the best option for our budget, as well as color, texture, thickness, join spacing, etc. It has been several months and we are very happy with the driveway. Neighbors have been complimenting the driveway and are happy that the old one is gone. It was a two-day job and the crew was efficient and professional, and the price was budget-friendly. read more

I found Sanders concrete through Yelp with one of those bid requests where they get you multiple bids for the same project. They came in with the lowest bid, so naturally I was drawn to them. Then I put the project off for about a year and when I decided to follow through with it I reached back out to sanders to see if the quote was still good. Manuel got right back to me and it was only about $200 more than the original price due to the increase in material costs. So I got on the schedule, but they were booked out about a month. I was a little worried since there's more than a few reviews on Yelp that mention being on their schedule, but they never showed. I was able to confirm with Manuel via text about 7 days prior to the job and he sent me an estimate to sign. He bid on the job sight unseen, which I kind of liked, because I'm like hella busy and stuff ... Anyway the day came and a guy named George showed up with a couple other guys to do the work. The job was to tear out some concrete that was about 22'x11' and replace it with about the same. They started at about 7:30 in the morning and they were pouring new concrete by 11 and done and gone by 1:30. The only weird thing, and really I don't care, I just thought it was weird; the owner and person I had been talking to the whole time, Manuel, wasn't here for the job. Then when we wrote the check at the end, George was like "just make it out to me"... so like did sanders even do the job? They did great work, so I don't care, but it was somewhat strange to me. read more

5 months after the concrete job was completed the driveway started to Crack. Manuel the owner of the company came by to look at and he said he would back to seal it. It's been 3 years and still hasn't come back. We left numerous text messages and phone messages no response. We have asked for the color of the concrete so we can repair it ourselves no response. I will not recommend this company to anyone. read more

I recently hired Sanders Concrete for my driveway and they did a great job from start to finish. Super clean and solid work. They completed the job quickly which I really appreciated, and their pricing was extremely fair compared to other quotes I received. I would definitely go elsewhere. My field of work is contractors' insurance (underwriter) so I deal with a lot of construction companies and this is one I would not recommend. For starters he's only been licensed for a year and after my experience with him I'm glad he didn't do work for me. Manuel basically ghosted me for reasons unknown to me. We set a date for him to do some flatwork about 2 months in advance and he was a no-call, no-show. After that point he kept ignoring my calls. When I finally got in touch with him he kept saying he'd call later in the week but never did. I even told him to just tell me if he didn't want to do the job and he didn't even do that. I did cancel the original job date at the onset of the coronavirus due to the uncertainty but we rescheduled. Doesn't excuse his lack of response and unprofessionalism as you see from my text screenshot. He won't show the screenshot of that part of our conversation (I don't have it anymore) because he knows he was 100% in the wrong. He says he didn't do work for me. The screenshots of the text messages make it clear why it didn't happen. He just ignored a customer who was eager to do business. There are plenty of good concrete guys to give your business to, unfortunately this is not one of them. Below are pics of my text messages to him to which he never replied. read more

Sanders Concrete Construction - This area was unfinished for years while I figured out a plan. Manuel finished it with ease. - Masonry/Concrete Near Me

Manuel and his crew did an AMAZING job on my backyard! Had over 9 1/2 yards of stamped colored concrete poured in my backyard and he did an incredible job! His crew and him came in, leveled out my whole backyard (I sit on a .21 acre property) and poured a beautiful 25'X20' patio with matching walkways and a slab for my storage shed. All done quickly and with incredible precision. What an incredibly quality job for a fantastic price. His job was so incredible, I am also having him complete other work I am looking to have done to complete my backyard renovation. He is my go-to guy now when it comes to concrete/masonry work! I HIGHLY recommend him to anyone looking for high quality concrete work! There's honestly nobody better in the greater Sacramento area! Please call him and get a quote from him ASAP! He's honest and straight forward with all his dealings. A very RARE quality these days! read more

Manuel and his team did a phenomenal job on our concrete planter/retaining wall and pad for our hot tub today. Manuel has had great communication with me from the beginning and was flexible when we had a delay that resulted in needing to push the work back by a few days. For years I have had what is known as a Hollywood driveway-2 strips of concrete with grass in the middle. Also over time it had deteriorated into a mess with cracked and chipped concrete and mostly dirt instead of grass. I got bids using information from Yelp and Home Advisor. Sanders Concrete Construction was one of 5 who bid on my project of more than 1,000 sq ft. of concrete. Manuel responded to my request for bids in a very timely manner and was punctual for our appointment. We discussed the project, he measured and asked if I had any special needs. He explained the process, time needed to prep and pour and curing time of the concrete. I chose Sanders Concrete Construction for my project because of Manuel's professionalism, knowledge of product and price. I admit to being a bit hesitant because the company didn't have a lot of reviews but I have NO regrets and I am extremely pleased with the end result. Manuel continually kept me in the loop and asked questions about design as the project progressed if he wasn't sure what I wanted. His crew were efficient and professional. All the neighbors are commenting on how nice my new driveway looks!! I highly recommend Manuel and Sanders Concrete Construction. read more

Sanders did a great job tearing out and replacing a large section of my driveway that was root damaged. They did it for a good price and were very detail oriented. I gave them more time, and they gave me good and inexpensive. Thanks read more

As I read these reviews about being ghosted, I have to rewrite my own review that mysteriously disappeared a few months back. Back in February I contacted this company to do an extension to my driveway. We agreed on a price and date, then the excuses, unreturned, texts and phone calls started happening. Once he did get back to me it was one lame excuse after another. I got to the point where I said I'm not going to beg for your business, so bye. Honestly wasted my time with this guy. I have text to back my claim, just man up and treat potential customer fairly. read more

Was quick to respond to my inquiry. I provided the information he requested. Prompt to give me a quote. We set up a day (Monday) for him to come out and solidify the quote. The designated time went and nothing. I sent him a message via Yelp that thank you for nothing as I wasted my afternoon waiting for him. He responded to my message via Yelp saying he was busy. I cannot recommend this company, as my time is worth as much as his. Look elsewhere as am I. read more

We are very pleased with the work performed. Did an excellent job on our driveway extension. Out of all the estimates requested, Sanders was the most economical. Scheduled and didn't show, rescheduled didn't show rescheduled and didn't show I am done now. By looking at other reviews it appears this is the way he operates. The way I see him operating makes for a short career in business. Save your time and frustration and scroll past this business. read more

I've seen other companies complain about getting a poor review when they didn't even do work for the person writing the review. What they don't seem to understand is that when you make an appointment with them and they don't bother to show up or call, that's equally important as if you did work for the customer. I get the feeling that for contractors who own their business don't care about the customer. My time is valuable, and not showing up puts me in the position to start over again by contacting other companies. This company choose the day and time they would come to my house and I worked around their schedule. I was told that he had something else to do that day with his family so I asked that he contact me if he wasn't able to come as promised. No show and no call. They may have enough work where they can afford blowing someone off, but that type of behavior will eventually catch up with you. If I did that, I would be fired. read more
