Our driveway was 33 years old and had horrible cracks & the wood separators were discentagrating. I contacted Garcia's Concrete for an estimate on pouring a new driveway along with sidewalks to the front doorway & along the side of the house to the back yard. DEFECTIVE AND UNLICENSED WORK! As a preface, it's sad that it has come to this, but after about a year of getting strung along and lied to, I don't have any choice. I had German and this company redo my entire concert driveway. The job was about $8k. They finished the job, and I paid them. Since the street is higher than my garage, the driveway slopes down towards my garage. German had a long linear drain installed. Later, after a decent rain, my garage flooded where the water was an inch high. The reason: the drain was not long enough to extend beyond my garage door. So now, my garage is a drain basin when it rains. I tried to track German down for months without any response. Finally, he responded and came out. He said he would lengthen the drain. I pointed out MORE issues like the concrete was severely patchy and discolored. He said it was not supposed to do that. He said he would come back out, but he's been stonewalling me. Now, there are cracks in several places. I'm going to report him the California State Licensing Board because they are clearly not licensed, and doing defective work. I'll have to sue them too. Our house had the original driveway from '65 and it was beginning to show its age. We also had an RV pad that was much newer but had a lot of cracks in it. Between these two pads were some grass and bushes. Garcia's removed everything and put in a 6" concrete pad (per my wishes, I have a compact track loader I bring in and out that is very heavy) and he was 35% cheaper than the next lowest bid.
