Booked an appointment a day beforehand on the Yelp app and received a follow up from the owner Winnie within 15 minutes! She was very accommodating with the scheduling and answered any questions I had. I booked an hour long massage and a spa pedicure for me and my significant other. Their procedure is that you will pay first before services, then fill out a form if you're getting a massage. For two people, an hour long massage was about $115 (I can't remember exactly) and the spa pedicure was $50 as opposed to a normal pedicure's $32 (spa pedicure comes with a massage!) Our masseuses were amazing and put in a lot of work and always made sure we were comfortable! The massage felt amazing, leaving both of us limber and energized; my back pain was very much relieved to say the least! The spa pedicure was also worth it, especially since a foot massage for my injured foot was much needed. They do not skimp out on the lotion or the oils, so you can be sure that you won't have to worry about any rough rubbing! The pedicure itself was a nice job done, nothing special requested but just color. Very happy with my experience! Wow - Incredible experience. Masseuse extensive knowledge of anatomy, pressure points, deep tissue needs, and tension-care/realignment clearly shows. My body feels younger and stronger, put back together lvl of comfort afterwards. Request what you want worked on and it'll pay off. I did a 90 minute full body session. Had gentle facial care and hip deep tissue done in addition to checks on my flexibility and sensitivity to make sure any discomfort is removed. They have many other options (nails mani/pedi, different massage combos, etc) to try. I will be sure to go again! Staff are soo friendly, facilities are simple and clean. Reminds me of another incredible place I've been to in NYC. This is a business I want to see thrive because everything about it is healing. A true gift. I was seeking a place in downtown Boston to attend to my very sore and under-groomed feet: A place with both reflexology And pedicure offerings. I also only had a few hours to spontaneously spare - so needed a spa/salon that was within a 10 minute walk, and had an opening right away. Kizmet (And Winnie, the manager) opened the way with kindness and quickness. When I arrived I realized my neck and upper back were actually really in need of relief, so opted for an hour massage instead. I'm dubious of massage because I suffer from chronic pain and am VeRY sensitive to how IN TUNE the therapist is. If a massage practitioner is distracted or phoning it in- it's a most frustrating experience. So I stick with folks I know these days. Intuition (and pain) said, take the massage. Ann was PHENOMENAL. With only an hour to work with she really knew how to pace and prioritize- not over work or underwork areas. She was curious for, and responsive to, my feedback on pressure - and was clearly agile as she assessed the reality of what my body's needs were for targeted care in synergy with other areas of distress. I've had pain in my psoas - as it meets my femur and cramps the inguinal, for years. And she addressed a spot off my sacrum that EXACTLY brought relief. The basement business is so legit - it feels old school, not glam, and is gently natural and purposeful without denying it's in a basement under a (very beloved and old school) bar. The massage therapists, practicing a broad offering of Asian body work, are masterful at a "relatively" affordable rate. More than fair for the value. I returned later (after a quick lunch down the street at sweet green) for a pedicure. Great color choices, Lisa was gentle and skilled and my toes look and feel great. I love how both down to earth and UN-fancy , and elegantly bespoke the whole experience was. They survived the pandemic when so many businesses crashed in the area because long time clients returned - recognizing the true gem of this place. they make you feel like part of the family, not fly by night clients. I'm really hoping I did not catch an infection of any sort (this has never happened to me at any other salon). Also, you can see that the nail files and scrubbers are being reused. Not good. It was even better than I'd remembered! The various areas to get your nails done are both small and intimate, and quiet soothing music plays overhead. And if you're lucky enough to get a pedicure, you'll also get your feet soaked in warm tea and given a long foot massage that makes you feel like you're in a luxury spa abroad! The customer service is very warm and friendly, and it's hard not to drift away to a far-off place while you're here getting your nails done or your massage. I was visiting Boston and had a nail emergency; the hotel concierge suggested RelaxSation. I was appreciative that they were able to get me in quickly and it was walking distance from my hotel in downtown Boston. Unfortunately, I was completely underwhelmed with the entire experience: - The level of customer service was barely above rude. (However, they did offer me a bottled water). - The atmosphere was very utilitarian and not the "spa" experience for which I hoped - although they charge "spa" prices. My service was performed in a sketchy back room and a metal barstool was provided for me to "relax". My nail technician had her supplies stored in a Nike shoebox. My service was completed and my nails looked pretty good. I said to myself, "Ehh, this was better than nothing." I kept this 'no harm no foul' attitude until my SNS polish started chipping 3 days later. If you're completely out of options, have some cash that you don't mind throwing away, and are looking for a Walmart-esque nail salon experience - this is your place. I would normally return to the salon to see if they would stand behind their work; however, I am writing this review early morning as I sit in the airport on my way home. Oh well! read more

I was a bit wary at first (as I always am with a place I find off the street), so my daughter and I chose to just get a manicure for her and a pedicure for me. They were so great--very professional and polite and took great care with their work. I had Ping, and she was just lovely! I walked back to the hotel with happy feet! Since I was now reassured as to their professionalism, I also booked a massage for two days later. Vivian is amazing! She has years of experience, and she found every knot in my back and legs. The deep tissue was definitely deep (ouch- but she did back off when I asked)-- but when I woke the next morning, I realized that I had slept better and was feeling better as a result of her good work!
